What weapon should MC use?

Swords are overdone might I do it depends on the type of sword. For me I might pick a scythe for the MC like he is the grim reaper or I might pick something like a spear. let me know what the main Zanpakuto the MC should have.

Remember the MC will be able to make his own Zanpakutos and even steal/copy from other Soul Reapers
