First Mission Part 1

"Who?" Gon asked, faking that he did not know.

"That girl. The one who you said you'd go on a date with," Korra answered.

"Oh, you mean Asami, she is a friend of mine that I met a few weeks ago," Gon replied.

"Are you guys dating," Korra inquired with an evil aura coming from her.

Seeing this, Gon shook his head and said, "No, we have only been on one date so far, and we need to know each other."

Korra sighed when she heard no coming out of Gon's mouth. If she found out that Gon was already dating someone, then she would have gotten sad. She liked him ever since the day that he had come back for her. He was like a knight in shining armor, and as they grew up, she came to like him more and more. Gon was a person who truly cared about her, not because of that Avatar crap. She was delighted that she still had a chance with him.

Gon seeing Korra's sigh, smirked, "You jealous?"

"W-what, No. Also, I am sorry for yesterday," Korra voiced, "I let others control me and put you and myself in harm. I believed that I could beat him, but blood bending is an unfair advantage."

Gon smiled, "It is okay; don't act on impulse next time, at least strategize. I can't always be there to save you."

"I know," Korra mumbled.

"You should go to bed," Gon advised, "Don't you have a Taskforce attack on the Equalists tomorrow."

Korra looked down when hearing about the Taskforce.

"I am not sure that what the Taskforce is doing is right," Korra spoke, "We attacked civilians, poor people who weren't even part of the Equalists because of a rumor."

"I know," Gon said, "I heard it from the radio. Avatar attacks civilians and sentences all non-benders to sleep at 10 pm every night."

"If you knew, then why didn't you say anything?" Korra asked.

"Because you are my friend, and I know that Tarlock made you the scapegoat of his action." Gon answered.

"Thanks," Korra said, "When I saw the non-benders, their eyes were lifeless like the poor people in the Earth tribes. Is republic city that bad?"

"Most places are that bad, excluding the Earth tribes," Gon answered, "They base their system on monarchy not bending, meaning the lower class are the ones that suffer whether you are a bender or not."

"The water tribes were not like that," Korra said, "Everywhere we went, non-benders got hailed as strong warriors."

"Not all people were like that," Gon muttered on his breath, remembering his father, Aizon.

"What did you say, Gon?" Korra wondered.

"I said quit," Gon lied, "If you hate your job, be brave and quit."

"Okay," Korra said, steeling her mind for tomorrow.

(The next day)

The non-benders came for their training and also to talk about the organization.

"Welcome, everyone," Gon announced, "Today is the start of our group, Worthless. We will fight against inequality and beat those that oppress the non-benders."

"How are we going to do that exactly?" A random non-bender asked.

"Good question," Gon said, bringing out his plans for the organization.

"What is that?" Asami questioned.

Gon looked at Asami and smiled. He was happy that she was her. She was fun to be around and seemed to understand him. He felt close to her. They had both suffered and came out stronger in life. Korra, too though not as much.

"It is my plan for the organization," Gon replied, "I plan to split us all into groups of four that patrol a given are in Republic city and protect non-benders and benders from the Triad's threats and also the Equalist's."

"And how exactly are we going to do that?" A beginner member asked.

"One of my advanced members come up to the stage," Gon instructed.

All the members looked uneasy. They had fought Gon before and had lost badly. They did not want to go up for a demonstration. One finally decided to walk up though it took a minute.

"Oh, Roshi, it is you," Gon said, "Okay, so I will attack you with a fireball and a water ball, and all you have to do is dodge them. I will not use hand to hand, and you can attack me. Are you ready?"

"Yes, sir!!!" Roshi shouted.

Roshi quickly put up his guard and then was barraged by water and fireballs. Roshi blocked the first ball which waters and then started to weave through all the attacks and eventually got up close and punched Gon in the stomach. Gon groaned a bit but quickly stood up after.

He then said, "This is what I have taught you guys, how to fight benders. The advanced can fight against near master level benders and beat them. That is how we will do it. Has that answered your questions."

"Yes, sir," The non-benders shouted.

"Okay, so we will be patrolling today," Gon said, "We split into our groups, Asami, Roshi with me."

Everyone split up into groups and asked, "Where should we patrol?"

"You, over there, go south, while you, over there, go north..." Gon spoke

After a while, he had dispatched everyone.

"That just leaves us," Gon said.

"Where are we going?" Asami asked.

"We are going to Triad central," Gon replied.

"Not that place," Roshi squirmed.

"Yes, that place," Gon smiled, "Now put on your masks."

The group quickly put on their masks and went to the most dangerous part of republic city, triad central. It wasn't the name of the place, but people started calling it that once the Triad's got there.

Once they entered, they almost threw up, hundreds of poor people lay there hoping for death as the Triad just looked around and laughed while drinking Alcohol. Some of the Triad members even went as far as to desecrate a corpse.

A little boy tapped Gon's arm and asked, "Have you come to take me to heaven as you did, mama?"

Once Gon heard those words, he snapped.

Asami seeing what was about to happen went to Gon and hugged him.

"Gon relax. I know what you feel because I feel it too, but you have to calm down before you also hurt these people. It would help if you kept a cool head to fight properly. Don't let rage destroy you," Asami spoke.

She was angry too, but hers was different, it was a calm rage that would turn into when they met the enemy.

"Can, we help them?" Roshi thought out loud.

"We can and we will," Gon hissed, "Now let us go in."

(Author's note)

Help me get to 700 power stones.

I wrote this chapter basing it on countries, where things like this happen where people die like flies and gangs control the streets. I have been researching the worst gangs in history to write this

I thought about Gon and Korra fighting and did not think it would be as interesting. They may fight later on but not now.

I am trying to make the bending world feel real but also fake.
