After Lu Wei taught him for many months, his cultivation realm advanced enough for him to participate core disciple test.

After being under Lu Wei's guidance for several months, he had made remarkable progress in his cultivation. His abilities had grown to the point where he was ready to take the core disciple test.

"Your cultivation has reached the required level for you to participate in the core disciple test. The Sect will be conducting the test for inner disciples next week, and you'll be able to take part in it," Lu Wei informed him.

As she spoke, he simply gazed at her. Noticing his expression, she asked, "Is there something you'd like to ask?"

Li Yong nodded and confessed, "I love you."

As she walked away, Li Yong's determination shone through his words. "I'm not joking. The time I've spent with you made me realize that I love you. I understand that I might not be worthy of you, which is why I've been striving to become better," he spoke earnestly.

Hearing these heartfelt words, she halted briefly before resuming her path.

Li Yong, having eluded their pursuers and sought refuge in the woods, gently touched Lu Wei's face. "Since then, I've repeatedly come to you, confessing my feelings. Li Yong smiled, drawing his head closer to hers and gently touching it. "No, you've always avoided me because you didn't want to hurt me, correct? I'm aware that your family is trying to exert control over you, preventing anyone from getting close," he remarked.

Upon hearing his heartfelt words, Lu Wei fell quiet. Li Yong continued, "The reason I love you, Lu Wei, is because you're always ready to help others without seeking recognition. You were there for me when I needed help, and the more I've gotten to know you, the stronger my feelings have become. I know our situation is uncertain, but I want to ask you: Will you marry me?" With that, he closed his eyes, awaiting her answer.

" Did you know, I've encountered many men in my life? Some sought me for my appearance, family background, or my genius status. The first time I crossed paths with you, I simply intended to offer assistance. Yet, as time went on and I got to know you better, my feelings evolved into love. Being with you made my days truly joyful," she expressed.

"I was glad to be with someone who didn't approach with greed. But that happiness didn't last long. My brother found out about me teaching you, and he took action against you. Even though I tried to keep my distance, you persisted, coming closer and confessing your love. I realized that marrying someone I genuinely love would bring me happiness. So, my answer is yes," Lu Wei confessed, her hand gently touching his face.

Upon hearing her positive response, Li Yong opened his eyes. What he saw was a rare sight – the usually cold-faced girl was smiling, tears shimmering in her eyes. Her smile was as radiant as a field of blooming flowers.

"Did you say yes?" Li Yong couldn't believe his ears. Despite his continuous efforts to win her love, he never expected to hear her acceptance. To his astonishment, she revealed that she had loved him from the very beginning.

Understanding his disbelief, Lu Wei recognized that it might be hard for him to accept her answer. Yet, she reassured him, "Yes, I will marry you. I truly love you."

Her words brought an immense smile to Li Yong's face. He stepped forward and embraced her tightly, overwhelmed with happiness and gratitude.
