In a quiet house, a boy lay sleeping. A gentle smile graced his face, yet unbeknownst to him, a golden dragon perched on his chest, studying him closely.

The dragon chanted softly, and in the next instant, it began to fade, gradually merging into the boy. His eyes fluttered open, only to meet the sight of a dilapidated room and a damaged ceiling.

"Why am I in this broken-down place? He gazed around at the wreckage. A sudden wave of intense pain surged through his mind. "Ah, I've been reborn into this body," he realized. "I recall that tomorrow was meant to be the day I opened my bakery shop". In his previous life, he had been an ordinary person.

His head throbbed, though the pain was less severe now. He reflected on his new memories. The body he now inhabited had once belonged to an orphan, and beside him was a girl named Su Yan. The pair shared the same name, a moniker given to them by a beggar.

Determined to keep Su Yan from a life of begging, Su Yang ventured into the mountains to gather herbs, exploiting his heightened sense of smell to detect scents from afar. Eventually, he saved enough money to purchase a house outside the city.

When Su Yang turned ten, a sect arrived in Lu City, seeking to recruit disciples. He knew of only four stages of cultivation: body refinement, bone refinement, blood refinement, and vein refinement. Each stage had four levels: small, medium, high, and peak.

On the recruitment day, both Su Yang and Su Yan attended. Su Yang lacked the qualifications for cultivation, unlike Su Yan, who possessed the necessary attributes to pursue ice-based cultivation. At first, Su Yan hesitated, but Su Yang convinced her that becoming powerful would enable her to safeguard him.

Four years passed, and though Su Yan did not return, Su Yang never lost faith in her. Rumors circulated, suggesting that she had ascended in the martial arts world, leaving behind her humble beginnings.

When Su Yang reached the age of fourteen, an enigmatic figure clad in black arrived at his doorstep. The stranger, whose face remained obscured, handed Su Yang a pouch and a letter. "Su Yan asked me to deliver this to you," the person stated before vanishing into thin air.

Opening the letter, Su Yang read, "I have become a cultivator. Our paths now diverge, so I gift you this storage pouch, containing gold, to aid you in leading your life."

After absorbing these memories, Su Yang whispered, "Her pursuit of greatness was inevitable. You deserved better than a life confined by the ordinary. Lost in thought, he was interrupted by a floating blue screen that appeared before him.
