Kill It With Fire!
Nakros and I were surprised to see each other. It appeared that he had been doing well seeing as he no longer wore rags, but I could still see that the shackles still plagued him.
"You seem to be doing well." [Nakros]
"Well enough not to use the cube you gave me." [Solace]
Nakros smiled.
"To be honest, I thought you died before you could use it." [Nakros]
I really had no words for that.
"...Have some faith, why don't you?" [Solace]
"I did. It's just that I didn't expect Lapasia Fae to be following me." [Nakros]
"...Lapis?" [Solace]
Nakros looked at me with surprise and fear.
"Lapis?! You call her Lapis?!" [Nakros]
He glanced around with terror on his face.
"Is she here?" [Nakros]
"I don't think so?" [Solace]
Nakros let out a sigh of relief.
"Please don't scare me like that. Calling the magic king by a nickname isn't something anyone can do." [Nakros]
"...Wait. She was the magic king?!" [Solace]
Nakros raised a brow.
"You didn't know?" [Nakros]
"Not at all. She did say she was the great sorcerer of something." [Solace]
"Great sorcerer of the moving tower. It's a tale dating back hundreds of years." [Nakros]
That made me wonder how old Lapis really was. However, I wasn't fond of being killed by Lapis so I didn't ask.
"So, what are you doing here?" [Solace]
Nakros took a quick glance at the dead spider corpse and then back to me.
"Working." [Nakros]
"Working?" [Solace]
"I'm temporarily working for the adventurer's guild. Well, not officially." [Nakros]
He then pointed towards his shackles.
"I'm a wanted man. Basically, I get a friend I know to accept quests at the adventurer's guild and then I do it for him. We split the rewards 80/20." [Nakros]
"...And what quest are you on right now?" [Solace]
"Slaying the Arachnid Queen." [Nakros]
I looked at the spider corpse and pointed at it.
"Is that it?" [Solace]
Nakros chuckled.
"Aw, that's cute. No, that's a greater arachnid." [Nakros]
I quickly decided to leave.
"Well, you can have fun. I'll be going now." [Solace]
As I turned to leave, Nakros grabbed my shoulder.
"Now wait a second there. How could I as a senior disciple allow my cute junior disciple to leave when there is |Experience| to be had?" [Nakros]
A great feeling of fear arose within me.
"N-nah. You don't have to worry so much. I-I can go without that |Experience|." [Solace]
"I think you need it." [Nakros]
He then proceeded to pull me along. I tried to fight against it, but he was far stronger than I thought.
"Ayo?! How much strength do you have?!" [Solace]
Nakros laughed while walking.
"Strength doesn't mean anything. Just ask our master." [Nakros]
"That doesn't make sense!" [Solace]
As soon as I saw tarantula sized spiders crawling about, I started screaming.
"Nakros! Nakros! Please!" [Solace]
"Wait a second… Are you actually scared of these things?" [Nakros]
"YES!! I AM!!" [Solace]
Nakros burst out laughing. So much so that his voice echoed further down the mines than my screaming did.
"Oh, that is so adorable. Alright, let your senior disciple help you out." [Nakros]
Waving a hand, Nakros mumbled something.

A transparent white dome appeared over us. I didn't understand what he just did until I saw any spiders touching it turn into frozen statues.
"There. Problem solved." [Nakros]
Well… He wasn't wrong. They were dead, but the problem for me was that they were still there.
"Don't you have a fire version of that?" [Solace]
Nakros shook his head.
"Junior disciple… We're in a mine. What happens when you use fire in a closed area?" [Nakros]
"...Oh." [Solace]
This did give me flashbacks to when I fought the goblin king.
