37 I Hope To Curse This Man
After Fina had passed out, Jai was ordered to carry her. I was a bit skeptical about him, so I watched him by Fina's side.
("I'll smoke him if he touches her in any weird places.") [Solace]
Jai shifted uncomfortably while holding her, which really helped me loosen my trigger finger around my offensive spells.
"Jai, are you holding up well back there?" [Ross]
"Eh? Ah, yes ma'am." [Jai]
The group exited the dungeon without much interference. It must've been because we pretty much emptied it of any living monsters.
"Jai, can you wait here for a bit?" [Ross]
"Yes?" [Jai]
"Good. I'll be right back." [Ross]
"Wait, that wasn't an answer- and she's gone…" [Jai]
Without another word, Ross walked away while bringing the dungeon gate guards with her.
("What is she doing...?") [Solace]
Ross didn't go very far. For some strange reason, she only traveled a fair amount of distance away and snapped her fingers.
"You have acquired, |Sound Interference|." [Spirit Guide]
("Huh?") [Solace]
That was when I realized Ross had cast a spell. She spoke with the guards from afar, which would usually allow me to hear a small amount of what they're saying, but I didn't hear a thing.
("That snap most definitely did something.") [Solace]
The conversation with the guards seemed to get a bit heated. Ross seemed like she was yelling or something, but no sound came out.
("Wonder if there's something to cancel that spell?") [Solace]
"Response: To interrupt or cancel the spell |Sound Interference|, the use of |Dispel| or |Cast Nullification| would be required." [Spirit Guide]
("Hm… How can I acquire them?") [Solace]
There was no response.
("Great. Leave me with more questions, why don't you?") [Solace]
"Response: Preparing questions…" [Spirit Guide]
("What? Wait, I was just kidding-") [Solace]
"Question: Are you truly outsmarting someone if they're not using smarts to begin with?" [Spirit Guide]
("Well, of course you are. If you're outsmarting someone, then your thinking is- wait… If they're not using smarts to begin with…?") [Solace]
That was something that would have me up all night if I could sleep.
("I'm just… going to not think about it for now…") [Solace]
As I tried to not think about the strange question, Ross finished up her conversation and returned to Jai.
"Alright, let's head back." [Ross]
"To?" [Jai]
"The girl's dorm. We'll have her checked by the dorm nurse and then send her back to her room." [Ross]
"...I'm a guy though. I thought guys were banned from going into the girl's dorm?" [Jai]
"It's fine. As long as you're with me, it'll be fine. Worst case scenario, we'll have you dress as a girl." [Ross]
"..." [Jai]
Staring at her with desperate eyes, Jai didn't seem too happy about that.
"I'm joking by the way." [Ross]
"Please don't joke about that…" [Jai]
"..." [Ross]

The trek to the school campus was a long one. Apparently, Ross didn't have enough magic power to teleport themselves back like how she did when they were going to the dungeon. Upon arriving at the girl's dorm, I saw Jai nervously sweating as they entered the building.
"Please don't make me dress as a girl… Please don't make me dress as a girl…" [Jai]
Jai mumbled to himself repeatedly on the way to the dorm's nurse, which kind of made me feel bad for him. ...Actually, not really. It was pretty funny. In fact, I tried cursing him by hoping he would dress as a girl.
("Oh, I do hope something forces him to dress as a girl. If there's a god, please make it happen. It'll be hilarious, I swear.") [Solace]
Unfortunately, it was a smooth ride for him. There was no need to make him crossdress.
"Here we are." [Ross]
We came across a room labeled with: "Dormitory Hospital" stuck onto the wall. Upon opening the door, we found ourselves in a room full of medical supplies. Three beds on the side, another side with shelves of glass vials, and a desk covered with… materials? I wasn't really familiar with another world's medical science.
"Hello there, is there anything I can help you with?" [???]
There sat a Blue haired lady with long hair in the middle of the room. She wore a lab coat that had a pin on it that said: "Nurse".
"Can you check up on this person?" [Ross]
"Sure." [Nurse]
"Thank you. Jai, bring her in." [Ross]
"Yes, ma'am…" [Jai]
With Ross nodding for Jai to bring in Fina, he came into the room and laid Fina out of a nearby bed.
"...Nurse, is there anything wrong with her?" [Ross]
"Hm… Give me a moment." [Nurse]
The nurse inspected Fina, prodding her from here to there. At some point, she shooed Jai out of the room so she could take off Fina's clothes.
"A few internal wounds, a large amount of scratches, lack of mana, and a large amount of fatigue. Thankfully it wasn't something my healing magic couldn't fix." [Nurse]
She waved a hand over Fina, chanting something under her breath. Within mere moments, Fina's wounds began to close.
"There we go. All she needs now is a bit of shut-eye." [Nurse]
Seeing as how everything seemed to be done, the nurse put Fina's clothes back on.
"Thank you for your help." [Ross]
"No problem. You can come again if you need something." [Nurse]
With a short nod of gratitude, Ross picked up Fina and left the room.
