6 chapter 6: How not to fight a goblin.

The green giant rushed at Elrica. Luckily for Elrica it wasn't very fast. If it was as fast as him he would have ran far away without hesitation.

Elrica retreated away from the giant using only a quarter of her speed, allowing it to reach him in seconds, once it reached him it swung the tree trunk horizontally and Elrica rolled under its attack.

Getting behind it he splashed at the back of it's legs, his slashes broke its skin but they didn't have enough power to do beyond that.

Turning around the giant preformed a sweeping attack, Elrica back stepped in time but his sword was clipped by the tree trunk and sent flying.

The giant smiled in victory before violently swinging down with all its force. At that moment Elrica burst out with his full speed, stepping back to barely dodge the attack, once the trunk hit the ground he stepped on top of it and lunges at the giant with dagger in hand and stabbed it through the eye.

Elrica plunged the dagger into its with such force that only the tip of the handle could be still seen.

After making his attack Elrica ran at top speed, only looking back once he was a safe distance away.

The giant green monster on the other hand fell heavily on the ground making it shake.

[You have leveled up]

[You have reached level 29]

[All stats have been raised.]

The voice confirmed it's defeat.

That concluded Elrica's first instance of punching up in this world, both literally and metaphorically.

(A/N: What did y'all think about this fight.)

After collecting himself Elrica approached the fallen giant and inspected his body.

He had no actual equipment, his meat was most likely poisonous and his blood was useless but his teeth and bones would be useful.

Elrica Knocked out a few of its teeth using a manual override of its mouth involving a few sturdy stones.

He would have to come back for it's bones later though.

Unfortunately the sword that he had just gotten was sacrificed in the fight so he would have to carry on using the dagger.

Pulling it out of the giant, Elrica wiped it on the giant and grabbing a still burning branch he finally entered the dark monster cave.

The cave was long and winding, and was full of bones. Dear bones, bird bones, Elrica even saw a few human skulls although much rarer.

Luckily his efforts outside bore fruit as only a few weak monsters remained, Elrica picked them off along the way. Luckily there were no branching paths and soon Elrica arrived at the end of the cave where the spoils of war were kept, spoils such as weapons, armour and women.

On the ground laid two naked women. Their flesh was full of bite marks and they were covered in bodily fluids and excrement, while their legs and arms were twisted in unnatural angles.

But even with all that they were alive, that was their luck as women.

Perhaps seeing light for the first time in months, they called out to Elrica.

"Help..." They called out weakly to Elrica.

Elrica was shocked as he actually understood what they said, they spoke in a language very similar to one of the ones that was popular in the corner of the spectral world that he inhabited. This was most likely his second greatest stroke of luck only behind leaving the spectral world.

Elrica approached them, uncaring her sullied condition he grabbed one of them with one arm and held the torch with other.

Whether it was from her emaciated condition or his powerful strength, the woman felt light as a feather.

Bringing her out of the cave he went back inside and retrieved the other woman. These women were the most valuable thing from this expedition.

As their saviour they were sure to repay him by showing him the way to the closest city. Elrica wanted to go to a city not in pursuit of safety, he wanted strength and finding a blacksmith, swords a shield and decent armour would help greatly.

The women who were laid on their backs gazed at high trees and the flying birds and unknowingly they started sobbing softly both from the happiness of freedom and the bitterness of their past.

Nasha was a young girl born in a village near the city of Aldia, ever since she was young she always harboured dreams of a powerful and handsome knight riding a white horse sweeping her off her feet.

Then she grew up and realised that no knight would ever pass her small and boring village that was why using the excuse of joining the church she left her parents in the village and went to the big city to and joined the adventurers guild as a healer.

There she was approached by three other adventureres, two men and a woman. They wanted her to join them as their healer in clearing a goblin den they had just discovered.

She was very very hesitant at first but soon their handsome leader swayed her into joining them with his promise of protecting her and his flowery words of a brighter future.

In the end her greed and lust made her walk to the depths of hell with her own two feet. The goblin den was infested with goblins and with their team having no synergy their repeated mistakes caused their defeat at the hands of the goblins.

Aina V Bellrouge was born into an affluent household of knights and trained alongside her brother in the way of the sword since a young age.

Aina possessed great reverence towards older brother who she had never defeated and who was praised as the future greatest knight their family.

So when her brother approached her and asked her to join the adventureres guild with him so they could become stronger she agreed without hesitation.

Once they joined they formed a party with a timid fire magic user and a lustful healer and attempted to subdue their first goblin den as a warm up.

The goblin den proved too much for all of them, they were strong, but they had never faced any actual monsters before. In the end the pressure got to them and their mistakes piled up.

A wide swing inside a narrow cave, a fire ball fired in close distance, a stab in the dark and they went down.

Her the magician stabbed to death and her brother torn to shreds under a group of goblins, she and the healer were stripped of their purity and torchered until they wished for nothing but death.

She had brought dishonour to herself by losing and to her family by surviving.
