From outside the palace, the guards could hear various sounds emanating from within, it was the sounds of various utensils, glasses, antiques, and furniture being destroyed.

As the noise faded away, the unmistakable click of a couple of musket guns being loaded reverberated in the air. The guards exchanged uncertain glances, debating whether to enter the palace to investigate. They hesitated, fearing that the Emperor, already in a foul mood, might vent his frustration on them.
