Meiying was absolutely furious upon arriving home. She had to beg the director for permission, claiming she was unwell, just to escape the presence of those disloyal cheaters.

Throughout her previous life, Meiying believed that the one thing Xuejian never betrayed her with was his faithfulness. But now, everything has changed. He can no longer deceive her with his convenient excuse of being busy at work. He has been unfaithful to her all this time! Meiying always questioned what was wrong with herself, why Xuejian never reciprocated her advances. Little did she know, it was him all along, guiltily engaging in infidelity.

Upon returning home, Meiying didn't even bother taking a bath. She simply collapsed onto her bed, cursing Xuejian until sleep overtook her.

The following morning, her slumber was interrupted by a persistent ringing from her phone. Meiying glanced at the screen to find an unfamiliar yet vaguely familiar number calling her. She reluctantly answered, her voice tinged with annoyance due to the lingering anger from Xuejian's actions the previous night.

"Who is this?" Meiying questioned, her annoyance evident.

"It's Li Chenwei."

Meiying immediately sat up in surprise, bewildered as to how he acquired her number.

"Chenwei! Apologies for my attitude earlier. I had no idea it was you."

"It's alright. I just wanted to apologize for... well, you know, yesterday."

Meiying assured him, "It's not your fault at all." However, Chenwei fell silent, seemingly hesitant to speak further.

"Hello?" Meiying called out, unsure if he was still on the line.

"I'm still here," he responded. "Did you... see what was posted on the internet?"

Confused, Meiying replied, "No, is something wrong?"

"I'm truly sorry. I'll do everything I can to assist you," he said before abruptly ending the call.

Meiying stared at her phone in astonishment, wondering what he was referring to. She immediately turned to the internet and was greeted with her name featured as the top search result: "Trending Update: Wang Meiying, stalker of the century."

A disparaging video was even attached, featuring Xiaoxiao accusing Chenwei of Meiying's obsessive stalking.

Amidst the comments section, Meiying discovered a barrage of malicious remarks.

[Hot Omma] So that's why we rarely see her in public! She's been busy stalking our poor Li Chenwei.

[XOXO Handsome] If she hadn't been stalking Li Chenwei, he wouldn't have ended up breaking up with pretty Xiaoxiao.

Meiying chuckled as she read through the comments on her phone. Since her past life, her enemies always used their fans to mock her, causing harm to herself when they couldn't touch her. However, they were mistaken. Meiying had experienced far worse in her past life and had come out unscathed. This was just a minor issue.

Determined to resolve the matter, Meiying dialed Li Jingyi's number. Li Jingyi advised her to avoid going out since both Xiaoxiao's and Chenwei's fans were going wild. She also mentioned that she would be meeting with Mr. Wang at the company to find a solution.

After freshening up, Meiying headed downstairs and learned from the butler that Xuejian had returned home yesterday but slept in his study. Curiosity piqued, she inquired about his whereabouts.

"He left this morning, but he prepared breakfast for you," Butler Yang replied with a smile.

"What?" Meiying exclaimed and made her way to the dining hall. However, upon seeing the delectable spread of dishes on the table, her frustration lingered. To make matters worse, every dish was meat-based.

Xuejian was attempting to appease her with this feast, thinking she was easily swayed. But in the next minute, she found herself enthusiastically chewing away on a succulent piece of chicken. In the end, she couldn't resist indulging in at least something from the array of dishes on the table.

Once she felt satisfied, Meiying leaned back in her chair, gently rubbing her satiated belly. That's when she noticed Butler Yang's penetrating gaze. She looked at him inquisitively, seeking an explanation. He quickly averted his eyes, causing Meiying to rise from her seat and approach him.

Leaning in close to his ear, she cautioned him, "Don't you dare tell him that I actually ate his food." With a mischievous grin, she stepped back and made her way to her room.

Meanwhile, Xuejian found himself in his father's office, accompanied by his mother and Li Jingyi.

"So you're saying that she came to the mall because of you?" Mr. Wang inquired, his eyes fixed on his son, who nodded in response.

"Mr. Wang, he called me to pick her up and take her there," Li Jingyi interjected. "I even have a recording of the conversation."

Mr. Wang's wife, intrigued, posed a question. "And why is that?"

"My apologies, but my phone is set to record automatically during calls. I have it like that for a specific reason," Jingyi explained.

"No problem at all. If you still have the recording, please share it with us," Mr. Wang requested, receiving a nod from Li Jingyi. She retrieved her phone and handed it to him.

"I also have something to show you," Xuejian added, catching his father's attention.

In the meantime, Meiying was engrossed in her script, studying diligently on her balcony, when Butler Yang entered with an iPad in hand.

"Mistress, Mrs. Wang wanted me to show you this," he informed her.

Meiying motioned for him to approach, and she took the iPad in her hands. Pressing play, Meiying watched as a video of a press conference featuring Xuejian and Li Jingyi unfolded before her eyes.

"I called this conference to clear my wife's name," Xuejian declared, leaving Meiying perplexed.

"What do you mean? Are you implying that your wife is not a stalker?" a reporter queried.

"Yes, and I will prove it," Xuejian confidently responded, signaling for a technician to commence playing a video on the screen behind him.

"As you can see here, my wife arrived at the mall fifteen minutes past seven, while Li Chenwei and his ex-girlfriend arrived eight minutes to seven," he explained, pointing to the timestamps in the video.

"But that doesn't explain anything. Your wife could have hired someone to watch out for her and arrived late to avoid suspicion," another reporter challenged.

Xuejian let out a hearty laugh, leaving Meiying shocked and filled with trepidation.

Xuejian motioned to the technician to play another recording on the screen. "This was taken on the same day as well. I couldn't reach my wife, so I had to call her manager," he said, turning towards Jingyi to continue.

"It's true. He called me that day and emphasized that it was important for me to drive his wife to the mall," Jingyi affirmed.

"You two must have planned this," an accusatory reporter insinuated.

Xuejian signaled once more, and the technician played a video capturing Meiying entering the store, looking around before her gaze focused ahead, a smile lighting up her face. Another video appeared beside the first, showing Xuejian engaged in a conversation with a staff member in the clothing department store.

"As you can see, Meiying came there because of me. The time displayed in the corner of the video proves that it was me she was searching for," Xuejian explained.

The screen then transitioned to another video, shot from a different angle within the store. Meiying appeared, her attention focused ahead, while Chenwei was seen dragging Xiaoxiao away from a specific area. Meiying attempted to run towards Xuejian, but as she did, she tripped. Just in time, Chenwei caught her before she fell. Meiying looked at Chenwei in shock as the video came to an end.

"Any questions?" Xuejian asked the reporters in the room, creating a murmur amongst them. Finally, a reporter stepped forward.

"So, this was all a misunderstanding?" the reporter inquired, seeking clarification. Xuejian nodded.

"Now, I want to make it clear to all of you out there, and here's a warning to those who aim to make my wife suffer," he said, his gaze sweeping across the room. "If anyone dares to label my wife as a stalker once again, rest assured that legal action will be taken, and I assure you, you will deeply regret the consequences," he declared, his smile taking on an ominously cunning hue. Meiying, utterly captivated by the unfolding events on-screen, looked at Xuejian in a mix of awe and trepidation.
