CHAPTER 1

Wei Wuxian was again late. He checked his watch as he keeps running. He never takes his car he loves connecting to more people when he travels by bus. That's why he was running because he woke up late. He tried to remember all the incidents from last night and then promised himself that he will never party all night in a week day. It is a really terrible idea. He regretted his decision and ran even harder. Luckily he didn't miss the bus and he arrived there just in time.

His dad offered him to work with him but he denied. He always wanted to live a cheerful life and somehow he convinced his dad about this. So he started volunteering in a school as a music teacher. He reached his school and he was on time. His first class was for grade 1 students so he was just having fun with them when his phone started ringing, when he saw it showed Jjang Cheng's name. He picked up , " Hello bro , don't you know I am busy with an important task". He loves to annoy Jjang Cheng but the reply that came was a girl's," Hello Mr. Wei I am talking from Sunshine hospital and Mr. Jjang met with a minor accident". Hearing those words Wuxian felt as if the ground beneath him shifted.

He hung up and started running. Jjang Cheng was always more than a brother to him. He rushed in the emergency ward and saw Jjang Cheng with a plastered hand and a bandage in his head. He immediately pulled him into a tight hug which almost crushed him and he only pulled back when Jjang Cheng complained that he is hurting him.

"What happened and who did this to you ?" he asked angrily.

"Chill Wuxian , I am fine and this is just a minor accident and I hardly got any scratches", Jjang Cheng replied and smiled.

Wuxian brushed his hair back annoyingly and again asked , " Tell me Cheng what happened this doesn't seem like nothing. And I want you to tell me without skipping any details".

Jjang Cheng laughed seeing him worrying so much and replied, " It's nothing Wuxian it's just a girl jumped in front of my bike to save a kitten and I skid that's all", he paused briefly and then continued, " and she is the one who brought me here and treated me, she is a doctor".

" Of course she would treat you after all she is the reason you fell", he then looked around and said, " I am going to call her here and have a heart to heart talk".

Before Jjang Cheng oppose he rushed to the reception and said them to call the doctor then came back and stood in front of Jjang Cheng he closed his ears so that he can't hear Cheng's nagging. He then saw a lady doctor coming toward them and he stood transfixed. She was beyond beautiful and now he understood why his hot tempered brother is so calm here. And he forgot that he wanted to give an earful to her.

The doctor approached them and bowed, " Hello I am Dr.Wen and I am in charge of Mr. Jjang".

Wei Wuxian took his time to study her and then said maintaining his calm, " Hello Dr. Wen I am Wei Wuxian , Cheng's friend so can you explain me about his situation".

" His situation isn't critical at all, he just have a sprain in his wrist and some scratches here and there and we have treated him already and now he is ready to go", she paused looked at Cheng and then turned back to face Wuxian and said, " I am also sorry that your friend faced this situation because of me", and then she bowed again.

Before Wuxian could say anything , Jjang Cheng spoke up, " It's okay Dr. Wen I am all good now and you no need to apologize to me anymore".

Wuxian saw his ice cold friend melt here and smiled, " Yes doc no need to apologize rather I should thank you for helping him and treating him", he looked at Cheng who was trying not to blush and then continued, " well doc can I ask you something ?"

Both Dr. Wen and Cheng looked at him wide-eyed and Dr.Wen nodded.

"So doc do you have a boyfriend?", he asked mischievously and Cheng nudged him in the back and eyed him to stop and Wuxian mouthed him that he was curious. Dr.Wen was pretty flustered with this question and then shook her head, "Alright then I should leave now I have different patients and Mr. Jjang you have to come everyday for a week to get your wounds dressed", and she spoke up and left.

Jjang Cheng slapped Wuxian's back and said, "What was that why do you embarrass me like this always?"

"I didn't, I was clearly helping you Cheng", he put his arm around Cheng's shoulder and continued, " I know my cold hearted brother melted here and developed a teenage crush on her and to be honest you both suit each other the best". At this sudden confession from Wuxian made Cheng blush hard. He then removed his arm and said, " okay okay enough I am already late so you go to the parking I will be there soon after getting changed." He then went to change.

Wuxian started walking towards the parking and was smiling at random strangers when his eyes fell on him. And he stood still. He saw a guy with white coat it means he was a doctor but something about him was different and Wuxian was weirdly attracted towards him. He was watching him without even baiting an eyelash. He stood there as someone has stopped the time and the aura that guy was giving made something ache inside Wuxian. While staring at him , he didn't even realized when a tear left his eye. Before another one leave Jjang Cheng came and pulled him, " I hope you haven't embarrassed me anymore". And then kind of dragged him along. Wuxian didn't said anything but was wondering why he felt that way and he decided he needs to meet that guy. He never believes in destiny but this felt like nothing but his destiny.

As Wuxian left , Lan Zhan turned around with a weird feeling in his heart that was hard to understand but couldn't see anything but Wuxian's back which felt perfectly familiar.
