2 Chapter 2 - Super GOD System

"Now, now... What the devil is this?" Confronted with this strangeness that the universe had provided him, Han Sen raised his eyebrows. He didn't even have time to analyze where he was exactly, inside a strange room.

"And what the hell are you, strange thing? Could this be the result of soul fusion?" He had no idea what it could be. He remembered seeing some novels with this kind of concept, but it was only because video games were growing in popularity. To imagine that something like this would actually happen was strange.

His questions were kind of answered when a few more messages appeared.

"Visual pollution is not cool..." Seeing those things, Han Sen was a bit intrigued. After fiddling with it for a bit, he finally understood. Sort of. He needed some time to study it, you know?

This Improvement System basically allows him to improve in something that is available through the use of EXP. The system also explained that this EXP drops every time he defeats a monster, and different levels of monsters give different amounts of it. Since he didn't have a Soul Beast or even a Hyper-Gene Art, the only things he could improve were the martial arts he learned in compulsory school and cooking, as well as improving his combat knife that he received as a gift from Luo Sulan, his mother.

He basically received a system that he has no idea what it does, and received a system that is a child of the previous one. As much as he wanted to expel this thing from his body, he simply knew he couldn't. His apprehension was because he had no idea if this system was his own or if someone put it in him. This was terrible for someone who spent millennia isolated with his own mind.

"Since I'm as useless as a speck of dust, I might as well resign to my fate. If this is some joke from a higher being, then I'll just kill it and its whole existence." Han Sen said with unprecedented seriousness, as he disliked being controlled in any way. Even his soul recognized his will, oscillating slightly. After a while, he finally smiled, "Well, if this thing is here to watch over me, then the being that created it is dead or doesn't exist."

Finally taking some time to observe the place he was in, Han Sen recognized that he was in a basic room in every sense of the word. If he wanted to improve it, he would have to bring his belongings in here. He remembered that there was something like this in history, an individual room for every human in the First Sanctuary.

"There's nothing here, so bye bye," Han Sen got up from the bed and left the room. He was more interested in officially starting his hunt.

###

"*Whistle*~!" Whistling as he walked through the starting city, Han Sen admired how capable humans were of creating fortresses. This one in particular was called Steel Armor Shelter, and was one of four that were revealed in the novel, as far as Yu Tang originally read. But it wasn't that important. The most that was here were some arrogant people who thought they owned everything.

Seeing several people seeking help or negotiating the meat of monsters, Han Sen took advantage of this moment to integrate into society. Small conversations in a large crowd give you so much information that it becomes absurd. The book described superficial things, but negotiations within the shelter, informant organizations, dangerous areas or areas with abundant rewards were not so well described. Half an hour within this crowd was enough for Han Sen to learn several new things.

While walking, he was passing through a street full of alleys when he came across a furry tail wagging into one of them. His interest was piqued when he saw what appeared to be a large white wolf, standing there as if it were a puppet.

"Hey, little wolf. I think you entered the wrong area, huh? WHISTLE!" With a very loud whistle, everyone's attention was called to what was happening there. Han Sen walked up to the wolf and gave it two strong slaps on the creature's butt, startling it.

SLAP! SLAP!

POOF!

With a cloud of smoke, which Han Sen held back a little from coughing, what was revealed was a beautiful woman. With silver hair that reached her waist, she was dressed in what appeared to be an expensive armor, and had a sword at her waist. Her beautiful face, adorned with the most beautiful asian features, was blushing like crazy as she held her butt, which was slightly red now.

"Why did you do that, you idiot??" The woman shouted angrily as she pointed her finger at Han Sen. She saw that a crowd was approaching because of the noise, so she had to take quick action.

"Sorry-" Han Sen couldn't respond when he was pulled by the collar, being dragged to the other side of the alley at an impressive speed.

###

"Why did you slap my butt??" The woman finally decided to let go of Han Sen when she realized they had already gone to a quieter place. Her anger was reaching new limits, and she didn't know a butt slap could hurt so much.

"Nice to meet you, my name is Han Sen. I'm a newcomer, is my first day here." Han Sen ignored her question and reached out his hand to shake hers. He was a little dirty and definitely had messy clothes now.

"Why do you think I would tell you my name like that!? Don't you understand that you hit me??" The woman looked at his hand and felt like punching him in the face. She only refrained because she heard it was his first day here.

"Because I saw and hit a beast that was in the middle of the shelter. Is it my fault for trying to defend human peace?" Han Sen was shameless and put on a fair face as he spoke. It didn't seem like he already knew who the beautiful woman in front of him was and intentionally spanked her on the butt.

"Hmph!" The woman looked at Han Sen and saw that he was playfully telling the truth. It was indeed her fault for trying to test the new Beast Soul in the middle of the shelter, confusing the newcomer. Taking his hand, she still seemed grumpy as she spoke, "My name is Qin Xuan, leader of the Qin Xuan Group here. Sorry if I scared you."

"And I'm sorry for hitting you. I couldn't have used a knife to test, right? It was better to be on the safe side." Han Sen laughed, knowing that he had successfully avoided a certain strange nickname. It was a stroke of fate.

"You're right," Qin Xuan looked Han Sen up and down and nodded inwardly. Despite being a novice, the boy seemed calm and composed, as if he had already been on a battlefield for a long time. Moreover, he was also handsome and seemed diplomatic. "As you're a newbie, I wish you luck on your hunt. If you want to join my group later, just look for me."

"Don't worry, I'll make sure to do it. Who wouldn't want to join a beautiful woman, right?" Han Sen couldn't contain his last sentence, but he didn't mind either. It was something he carried when he was still Yu Tang.

"You have a silver tongue, don't you?" Qin Xuan ignored the literal child's comment and just went on her way afterwards. But before that, she left her final message, "I hope your fighting skills are better than your flattery. Otherwise, you'll be dead even against a tree."

"You don't have to be mean..." Han Sen felt a tear fall from his right eye as he was called as weak as a chicken. That wasn't exactly what she said, but it was what he heard.

After all that, he finally found the exit of the Steel Armor Shelter and faced the green fields that stretched out to the horizon. This was where he would begin his journey to the top of everything, and he was definitely excited for it.

"Let's go!"
