Deeper yet Deeper

A single light fell throughout the seemingly unending void, the bottom seeming like a far-off dream

and yet that dream was closer than anyone could have ever imagined

PAIN

Mind-splitting pain was all that Ding Jie knew at the moment

his body was....non-existent so the only thing that could be affected was his soul

if he could scream he would for this was even worse than the ten thousand needles torture he received in the past

in the end, all he could do was remain conscious and persevere, after all he was in an unknown location without his body whit his soul currently being exposed to something causing him pain, this was an extremely dangerous situation and he needed to be awake because even if he could only do the bare minimum, it would still be better than nothing

it was only after nearly an hour that Ding Jie got used to the pain and was able to make out the situation

He was falling if his senses were to be trusted and trying to perceive himself, he was blinded by pure light that seemed to be growing stronger every second, trying to perceive his surroundings he saw nothingness, all that greeted him was pure darkness, finally, he tried to sense the presence of qi and was immediately overwhelmed with the amount of qi in the area

'this would be a great place to Cultivate if i still had my body' were his thoughts

in the end all Ding jie gathered was nothing that could help him make sense of the situation

and then all of a sudden the pain grew more intense, Ding jie couldn't hold out for much longer like this, so he tried entering a meditative state in hopes of offsetting the pain

it did not work

in fact, it seemed like the pain was growing even stronger

ding jie was about to mentally collapse when he noticed that there was a light he was approaching, as he fell closer the pain grew, to top off this cherry cake of pain a voice rang out in his head making him lose some of his composure causing him to perceive more of the pain

the damn phrases were ringing in his head wayyyyy too much, the pain was unbearable, ding jie just wanted to cry to help ease the pain if only a bit, but he no longer had a body

and suddenly he had passed through the light he was falling towards
