33 Preliminary Rounds (8)

Looking at him with no emotion, Ayla said, "You can go play with someone else, and if you're here to compete, then fight me."

"I'll beat you up a little bit, enough to show you the difference between—"

"Stop ranting on about what you are planning to do and show me if you have the ability to do what you say."

"You!" A blue aura emanated from his body as he charged towards Ayla and hacked at her with his two sickles.

Ayla remained incredibly calm, but she didn't ensheath her katana, standing there not moving an inch—this caused spectators who cheered for Ayla to become worried.

Even when the sickles were inches away from hitting her, she stayed motionless with the same calm expression.

*Clang! A flux of string wind pressure along with blue energies scattered around the duo, picking up dust into the air that obscured the outcome of their clash.

Before the dust could clear, a figure whose chest was sunken in flew past the spectators like a bullet, crashing into another building. This time it was much further than the last.

Once the dust was cleared up within the ring, they found only Ayla standing, as shards of the two sickles were scattered across the ground in front of her.

Everyone was shocked—this time, the judge was prepared for such things to happen and stood up and shouted, "Ayla wins!"

With Kaen being knocked out of the ring, he was automatically disqualified. The judge immediately declared Ayla the winner and gestured for the few attendants to go get him and his bronze tokens.

The attendants found that Kaen was dead from many of his ribs puncturing his lungs. Two of the three attendants carried away his body, and the third handed the bronze tokens the man had to Ayla.

Adding the bronze tokens gained from her match with Kaen, Ayla had now accumulated 35 bronze tokens. She could exchange her 35 bronze tokens for 7 silver tokens and exchange five of her silver tokens for a gold token.

'Most of the warriors here fear me, so they'll never come up to compete. I suppose I'll step down from the ring, and exchange my tokens.' Ayla thought, leaving the ring.

No one tried to stop her as she had already finished her required three matches to step down. Once she was off the ring, a long-haired female samurai in a short skirt with her sword hung around her waist stepped into the ring.

The next few rounds were chaotic and nobody could win more than three matches in a row, but there substantially fewer casualties and injuries than before. Ayla didn't continue to compete and left after watching for a while.

Entering the busy streets, Ayla thought, 'I suppose I'll go exchange my bronze tokens for gold and silver tokens.'

She walked through the streets for 5 minutes before taking a right and entering the building with the name 'Warrior Token Exchange.'

Throughout the city, there were many places where warriors could go to exchange tokens. She just went to the closest one to her.

When she entered, she found two men: one of them wore a black kimono with strips of grey with a tachi on his waist, and the other wore only pants with a mace resting on his shoulders.

She stepped in line behind the two men, silently as to not disturb anyone.

Once she was at the front desk, she felt lust for the man with the mace and for the man who stood in front of her behind the desk—the only difference was that the man behind the desk suppressed his lust, keeping a calm composure.

'Why am I able to sense the lust of those in my surroundings?'

[It's because you acquired the Succubus skill: Lust Detection.] Cynthia said.

Ayla nodded slightly and took out the 35 bronze tokens she had and laid them on the desk.

His eyes widened at the amount she had obtained in such a short amount of time. Even though he was shocked, he still didn't waste time counting the tokens.

Afterwards, he took out a single gold token and two silver tokens and slid them across the desk over to her.

Ayla said, "Thanks." and left shortly after, only to be met with the man who held the mace in the Warrior token exchange building.
