Reborn As The Villainess's Knight

Reinhardt, in his past life, he was a student who was brutally murdered. However, he had been reborn as the Knight of The Villainess from a Novel he had once read. In his last life, he didn't accomplish anything, in fact, the most notable thing he had ever done was killing his murder. But now, he had another chance. And this time, he was going to survive no matter what. Armed with the Heart of a God and knowledge from the novel he had once read, he would make sure to survive, and trample over anyone who sought to take what was his. *** I dont own the cover art, just smt I found on Pinterest I think. Let me know if you're the owner and want it down. This is my second novel, so you can expect an above average quality of writing. There will be romance but it'll be gradual, and he won't be dense or anything since that would be annoying. The MC might be a tad bit insane at times, and he won't be OP immediately. But he won't be losing too often. Anyways, enjoy! And check out my other novel, The Child Soldier's Reincarnation if you like my style of writing. Upload schedule: As of now, daily but I'll take a one day break whenever I need it.

Chapter 12 - Hell [8]

A/N: 21k views and 180 views AND we're being featured on 'Potential Starlet', and I'm not sure what that is but it sounds great.

The Mana Beast infront of me was nothing short of weak. It's attack's output was laughable. It resembled a cobra, except for it's eyes. It had so many of them, it had eyes littered all over it's body.

The cobra like creature opened it's mouth, and a water began to coalesce just infront of it. However, what was interesting was that I could barely hear the attack being formed. The ball of water was controlled perfectly, it didn't splash about and not a drop fell onto the floor.

'But... the output is still low, and the charge time is long. But... I wonder what this one can do?'

And so, I decided to let it charge up it's attack and once the attack was ready it launched it at me. The speed of the attack was fast, so fast that I could barely see it. And so, the attack landed.

The bolt of water sort of exploded, the water covering my entire body. But, the attack didn't even hurt.

'How can something that's so fast... be so weak.'

Then, I felt a pain reverberating throughout my body. I realised what was happening almost immediately, blood began to drip from nose, my eyes and even my ears.

'Poison. I've been poisoned, that water was mixed in with the poison the Mana Beast could innately create. Unless there's a poison attribute? Well whatever, it doesn't matter.'

Then, I began to use my Arcane Healing and in and instant, the effects of the poison were removed. Then, the Mana Beast charged up another attack, however I moved faster than it could attack, and in an instant I reached it before finally slicing it's head off.

'I can maintain higher outputs for my Arcane Enhancement, for both my sword and body, without too much concentration. I'm getting stronger. That's... good.'

I looked down at the dead Mana Beast, and smiled, it was a barely noticeable smile. But, it was certainly present.

"You got unlucky, if you had met someone else, they probably would've died to your poison. And it's because of that, that I can't stop myself from laughing at you. After all, what sort of Beast manages to confuse predator and prey? Why didn't you just hunt weaker Mana Beasts?"

I have no idea why I was rambling on, and to a dead Mana Beast at that. I was probably starting to very slowly lose my sanity.

After crushing the Mana Beast's head with my foot, I moved on. I had to have a drink of water.

Kneeling at the side of the river, I began to scoop water into my hands and drinking it. This was probably the best tasting water I had ever had. Not because of the source, but because of how mentally exhausted I actually was and because of how long it had been since I could relax and have a refreshing drink of water.

I washed my face with water, and looked at my reflection. My face was nothing short of great, I had long white hair along with a set of piercing, golden eyes. My build wasn't that large, however I was rather tall. Standing at around 6'3/190cm. However, I'd probably grow taller considering my age.

A/N: Don't question how he knows his height by looking at a reflection.

I smiled softly, this would be my fresh start, and I had been granted a great looking body. Was fate trying to make up for how terribly it had treated me in my last life? Well, it doesn't matter.

My goal is to survive, whether fate tries to snuff my life out or whether it keeps the flame lit, I'll survive. I'll burn anything that stands in my way to smithereens, I'll crush whoever threatens my life.

Once I had washed up a little, my eyes lingered on my reflection. Then, I looked my enhanced sword and body.

'Honestly, I'm quite happy with my improvements I've made. I was able to teach myself how to use Arcane Enhancement on a weapon. Now, I'm sure that everyone enhances their sword, but I doubt that there's many who managed to do it on their own. I might honestly be quite talented when it comes to Mana.'

"Wait, maybe I'm a prodigy? After all, it took me one day to reach my current level. Well, I'm in a powerful so I suppose that helps..."

Dismissing my thoughts, I sighed and crossed the river, looking for the next Mana Beast to hunt.

Until the moment I was rescued, I would continuously hunt until there wasn't a beast remaining.

That will be the first step of my path to getting strong enough to survive in this world.
