Chapter 16 - Aftermath

[Luna POV]

(Midnight)

The terrifying lump of human skin monster has finally been killed thanks to Master who killed it using his bow. He took advantage of its inability to reach the high ground and used Drake as a decoy to freely attack the monster with ease.

Thinking back at it, Master has been controlling everything since the time we've been found out by Master Drake and Master Greg. Seeing Master's stunning ways of doing things made me look at him very differently.

But let's set aside everything for now. Well, what do we have here?

Drake is helplessly lying down beside the dead monster, drenched in blood and every part of his body has been torn apart.

(Looking at his poor state, he'll probably die after a minute)

It was a miracle that he managed to survive this long until the end considering Master Andrew and Master Emily didn't even took a second before they meet their end.

I know it's very horrendous of me, but seeing this guy and the other members who finally got their karma, I was filled with outmost satisfaction from the bottom of my heart.

It was pretty depressing that Master Greg managed to escape. Me and Master didn't see him since the pressure from the Monster left us decided to stay from the high ground.

Well then, what do we do about this guy?

"Y-you...! You bastard...!" Drake stare daggers at me as he grunts. "I'll fucking kill you... Along with your Master...!"

That was surprising, so this guy still got the strength to rant.

I coldly look down at Drake like I was seeing a trash at the ground. Just the same time, Master had finally arrived at the scene by jumping through the walls. Master just stood there as if waiting to what choice I'm going to go with.

But I ignored Master and kept looking at Drake with full resentment—because no matter what happened, I'll make sure that Drake suffers the same what my mother had suffered through.

To be honest, I really don't want Master to see me like this. My mind was in complete shambles, but such thoughts immediately disappeared when Master started to spoke of reassurance.

"Luna, just do what you think is right." Master firmly assured. "No matter your choice will be, I will be there for you."

When I heard Master's word of assurance, without any ounce of hesitation, I sliced Drake's right arm with my 『Scimitar』.

"A-ARRGHHH!!!" Drake cried in agony as he looks at his arm who got cut-off. "My arm...! M-my arm...!!"

"You still got the strength to cry huh." I mused.

His agonizing cry was a music to my ears. Without realizing, I was hysterically smiling. My thoughts we're only focused on how I will kill this thing in front of me, but I can guess that it's a wicked smile.

But I don't care about that. And now to continue, I sliced his left arm, then his left foot, then right.

"ARRGHHH!!" Drake cried as he suffers, stuttering caused by the blood in his mouth. "S-shtop it... P-pleash..."

"Tell me why." I lividly said, gritting my teeth as I glare daggers at him furiously. "Did you stop when my mother is begging you to?!"

"I... I was just..." Drake paused.

"You've killed too many, Drake." Master added whilst looking away. "Now you reap what you sow."

I slowly thrust my sword in Drake's abdomen. The sickening feeling of sword slowly tearing Drake's flesh inside would normally make me sick and puke right now, but my extreme resentment towards him exceeds those.

"AGGHHHH!!!" Drake shouted as if to call for someone. "Help...! Help meee!!"

"How does it feel, Drake? Helplessly slowly being killed without getting any help." I said in a cold tone. "That's how my Mother felt when you killed her, you bastard...!"

While I hysterically kill him, rain started falling down from the night sky, slowly drenching our clothes. The cold feeling made me looked at the sky in impulse. The raindrops surprisedly pour into my eyes which made me squint in response.

Without realizing, I looked down at Drake. The guy who was screaming loudly just now had finally gone silent.

"Ah, I see..." I narrowed my eyes and smile.

"Drake is dead." Master said which I shifted my look into him in response.

[Sai Crimsonheart POV]

Drake is dead.

It was a very strange feeling seeing someone died in front of you, but to be honest, seeing Luna slowly kills Drake felt the most surprising. Was it because she felt different from her usual behavior perhaps?

I turned myself away as not to see the awful scene as my gut can't really take it. I really hope I get used to it since I'm pretty sure that we'll get to encounter more like this in the future. In any case, I quietly waited until Drake has finally met his end.

After I mentioned to Luna who looked at me, she suddenly felt weak and puked herself. The adrenaline finally disappeared huh.

I approached Luna whose puking herself behind and rubs her back to provide her with comfort. It went for quite a while until she's finished. We just stayed stationary to where we are and didn't dare to talk something. Silence came for a while as the sound of the raindrops was the only thing we can hear until finally; Luna begins to open her mouth.

"Ha... Haha... Hahahaha...!" Luna timidly laughs, looking hysterical. "Finally, with this... I have avenged Mother... Haha... Ha..."

Then suddenly...

"Sob! Guh... Waah!!" Luna sobs and begins to weep harshly like a baby.

Even with the tranquil rain that fully drenched Luna's face entirely, I can still see her tears that continuously flow from her face.

This is the 2nd time I saw Luna awfully cried this hard before. So In consideration, I crouched and pulled Luna into me and embraced her tightly. I was in an awkward position so when Luna puts her weight entirely onto me that I fell butt first as she hugged me back.

Seeing Luna cry like this felt like I was holding a very delicate being. In order for her not to be broken, I gently caress her head to provide her with a warm comfort.

After quite some time and Luna had finally calmed down. Though, it just stopped right now so there's still a bit of sobbing which I find very cute.

We've been on the rain for quite a while so the cold begins to make us shivers. It would be bad if we stay here longer so I princess carry Luna towards the Mansion. Luna was left flustered but just let it and holds me into my shoulder to support herself.

I used my foot and pushed the door open and gently put Luna into the bathroom towards the bathtub. I then turned the faucet open and fill the bathtub with a warm water.

"Luna, remove your clothes and clean yourself here." I gently explained. "I'll come back here after you're done."

"Yes, Master..." Luna timidly said and gave me a sweet smile. "Take care..."

I nodded in response to Luna then closed the bathroom and hurriedly went where the brutal scene happened.

"Where is it..." I mused as I starts to rummage Drake's corpse in hopes of finding "that" thing. "Ah! I found it!"

Thank goodness it didn't disappeared just like in the game. I took the 『Kusanagi』 that's lying in Drake's body. I also took the 『Steampunk Boots』 and the 『Platinum Armor』 he's wearing and put it inside my inventory. The large corpse of the 『Real Abomination』 which was supposed to be lying here disappeared, but there stood a peach-colored item which looks like a bag made of skin near Drake's dead body. And yes, it's the Monster Drop.

Just like in the game, when the 『Boss』 has finally been defeated, they will drop a bag which gives the players an exclusive Item Drop and sometimes, an exclusive material that's used to craft items.

I took the 『Monster Bag』 but didn't open it yet as there are still more important things to do right now.

I ignored the dead bodies and went inside the Mansion. I was planning on finding my father who unfortunately managed to run away but no matter where I went, he was nowhere to be found.

"Tch! Damn it," I mused in frustration. "I'll let him get away..."

Feeling helpless, I let out a sigh and just decided to go upstairs and went to the room where the Maids were currently taking their refuge. When I arrived, the Maids we're all looking uneasy and has a pale worried look on their face.

"Young Master, are we all going to die?! What happened to the other Masters?! Where's Master Emily?" Everyone started to overwhelm me with questions in panic.

I used my strength and clapped as hard as I can. The loud deafening sound reverberates into the room which turned everyone's attention into me entirely, silencing them in the process.

"Good. This is actually the reason why I came here. First of all, the giant monster has already been dealt so no one is going to die here." I sternly explained, then continued. "Second is very important for this is about to you all. Unfortunately, my Father, Mother, Andrew, and Drake has sadly been killed in action. I, who is now the sole survivor of the Crimsonheart family decides and plan to leave this residence as brief as tomorrow morning for personal reasons." I paused for a moment and gave them a stern look. "I will now ask you now on where you all plan to go after this."

What I said to them were mostly all lies. The matter with my father that manages to escape, and the fact that I said "sadly" even though I didn't feel anything but a bit of resentment towards them.

The Maids looked at each other with a conflicted expression—then after a while came silent altogether, but one Maid immediately broke the silence and begins to open her mouth.

"Young Master Sai, I-I'd like to be frank, due to a sudden decision; we currently can't think of any plans to do as it was a too sudden." The Maid who's in her 30s nervously remarked. "If possible, we would like you to give us some time so that we can properly decide if we may."

That's true. It was too sudden to just expect them that they had somewhere to go into if they ever left this residence. Worse, some of them doesn't even have family anymore.

"I see, I'll hear your answers tomorrow." I firmly nodded as I answer, then clapped once again. "So many things happened today. You're all probably tired so for now, take a good rest and work your important things later."

Everyone showed a relived expression as they looked into each other. With now a plan in mind, everyone went their separate ways as they went back towards the Cabin.

"Alright, finally done." I mused in relief and also went my own. "The last one is..."

I gently knocked on the transparent blurry door of the bathroom to check Luna whom I told to take a bath.

"Luna," I called. "Are you done?"

No answer.

"Luna?" I called once again. "Are you there?"

Still no answer. The lack of response made me nervous for some reason.

"I'm opening it, okay?" I declared and opened the door.

When I went inside, I saw Luna who is covered with a towel and is sleeping on the edge of the dressing room. I breathe out a sigh of relief since you know... we're probably thinking of the same thing.

One thing I forgot, is that I forgot to give her some clothes.

I immediately went into my Mother's room and took some clothes for her to wear. I took the plain black tunic dress and a girl's underwear then went back to Luna.

"Luna," I gently tapped her in her shoulder. "Wake-up."

Finally arouse from my tapping, Luna slowly opens her eyes. First, she looked at me for a while, then once her brain had started to warm-up, her eyes widened. Her face flushed red and immediately covered herself with the towel she is using.

"Good morning, Luna. Although I told you to take a bath for you to not catch a cold, sleeping here will render those things useless. Here. "I gave Luna the clothes. "Wear this then rest in my room."

Luna took the clothes I gave her then looked at it blankly for a while. She then begins to put the clothes on while sitting on the floor. As for me, I went outside and wait for her to finish so that we can go into my room together.

After a while and I called Luna if it's done.

No answer.

I let out a sigh and went inside the dressing room. There, Luna still sitting on the floor but is already wore her clothes. The plain black tunic dress has a beautiful design of pure black on top that's slightly turning into white as it went down—just like her hair that's composedly a mixture of black and white, the clothes fit to her perfectly.

"The clothes looks perfect on you, Luna." I complimented, then added. "But please, if you're done then say a word at least."

Luna was silently still sitting on the floor. Such situation made me tilt my head in bewilderment. But to my surprise...

"Master," Luna raised both of her hands and looks at me in anticipation. "Carry me please."

"Really..." I can't help but grin in her action. "Daring, aren't we?"

"Ah...!" Luna became dejected and hurriedly rose into the floor. "I-I'm sorry—"

"Hey, don't make that face." I hurriedly said and immediately carried her. "I didn't say I wasn't going to carry you."

Luna got startled into my sudden action. She just smiles broadly and holds my shoulder as I carried her like a princess and puts her in the bed of my room. After that and I turned off the light and went into the bed beside Luna.

"Goodnight, Luna."

I was planning on sleeping after this, but Luna suddenly asked me.

"Master, what do you plan on doing after this?" Luna asked.

"Hm? Well... I decided to start and make my dream come true."

"I-I see..." Luna paused briefly then timidly asked. "Master, are you going to leave...?"

"I don't understand what you mean by that but yes. I don't have anything to do in this Mansion, so I plan on leaving tomorrow morning."

Then suddenly, Luna wraps her arms into one of my arms and hugged it tightly. Then for some reason, she was shaking.

"I... Both of my parents were already dead. The Mansion where I'm currently living doesn't exist anymore... I... Don't have someone to go with anymore that why..." Luna shoves her face into my arms and hugs it tightly. "Master, you're the only one I have... I will do anything you ask of me so please... please don't leave me...!"

"Hey! Hey, you don't have to cry." I turned myself into Luna and caressed her head. Even if you don't tell me, I was planning on taking you with me."

"Sob! Sob! R-really...?"

"Yeah, I promise." I said and embraced her tightly, shoving her face into my chest.

"Then," Luna begins to lay herself on top of me. It's dark but since the clothes I gave her was quite loose into her, I can see the tip of her bosom. "We'll need to put on some kind of promise."

"Heh?" I grinned as I asked. "And what do you mean by that?"

Luna didn't answer my question. Instead, she removes her tunic dress and dropped it beside her. Her smooth ample bosom who was covered before was now right in front of my eyes.

"Luna, just to tell you this. Are you really okay on doing it with me?" I firmly asked.

"Yes, Master." Luna answered without hesitation. "Because from now on, I decided to give you both my body and my life forever."

Quite the absurd resolution if I may say. Luna might still be called an ignorant, but it was still a firm decision made through her resolve. If that's the case, then I'll take responsibility.

I accepted Luna's proposal and kissed her lips, then gently whispered through her ears.

"Please take care of me, Luna."

"Yes, Master. I love you..."

And thus, the two of us started the deed and had a very good night.
