Your weird today

"Your Majesty, what are you doing here?" I asked, astonished by her presence. She was the last person I expected to see in this rundown shop, where I had come with Lise to buy some ingredients for her cooking.

"You could at least say thank you; I saved your lives," she said, annoyed, before several guards stormed into the shop. They were wearing the royal insignia, and they looked ready to arrest anyone who crossed their path.

"Take everything that seems suspicious, damned demon scammer," Zephara ordered, inspecting the premises as if I weren't there. But why was she here, in this shop, where we had come to buy some ingredients for her dinner? 

I looked around the shop and it had change, I saw that the shelves were now filled with strange and exotic items: jars of eyeballs, vials of blood, bones, feathers, scales, and other things I couldn't identify. 

"What is this place?" I asked, feeling a chill run down my spine.
