Reborn as my Enemy's Twin

I think… God takes my life as a joke. Ok, fine. I transmigrated into a magical world where people can cultivate, and beasts can talk. That’s great and all but… why did god have to make my arch nemesis from my previous life my twin sister in this one?! And… Why the heck does this guy keep staring at me?! A little girl laid on a hard bed. Her eyelids fluttered open and her violet colored eyes glanced around the room. A seething face with a furrowed brow and amber eyes were the first thing she saw. She suddenly became aware of an increasing pressure on her neck, choking her. “What’s your name!” The girl asked her. She pursed her lips. Why should she tell this strange girl her name? She felt the pressure on her neck increase. “Is it really that hard to tell me your name?” The honey-eyed girl asked. The little girl swallowed. “Nessa Grace.” She said in a weak voice. The pressure on her neck was finally gone. The girl who had just been holding her down had her mouth wide open. “You have got to be kidding me.” Nessa: “...” “God really likes to joke.” “...” The girl, who looked only to be 12 years old, walked out of the house they were in and tilted her head up to the sky. Rain began to fall, landing on her face and sliding down her cheeks. “God, what did I do to be stuck with this person for two lifetimes?” A bright streak of purple lighting came shooting down. It landed in the middle of a huge crater near a river. It had appeared that she had gotten her answer. But by the look on that girl's face, it wasn’t the one she was looking for. Nessa looked at the old man sitting in a rocking chair in the corner of the shack. He gave a shrug to her look of confusion and said “Don’t ask me.” *Cover belongs to it's respective owner an will be removed upon owner's request*

Lightning

A little girl laid on a hard bed. Her eyelids fluttered open and her violet colored eyes glanced around the room. A seething face with a furrowed brow and amber eyes were the first thing she saw. She suddenly became aware of an increasing pressure on her neck, choking her. "What's your name!" The girl asked her. She pursed her lips. Why should she tell this strange girl her name? She felt the pressure on her neck increase. "Is it really that hard to tell me your name?" The honey-eyed girl asked.

The little girl swallowed. "Nessa Grace." She said in a weak voice.

The pressure on her neck was finally gone. The girl who had just been holding her down had her mouth wide open. "You have got to be kidding me."

Nessa: "..."

"God really likes to joke."

"..."

The girl, who looked only to be 12 years old, walked out of the house they were in and tilted her head up to the sky. Rain began to fall, landing on her face and sliding down her cheeks. "God, what did I do to be stuck with this person for two lifetimes?"

A bright streak of purple lighting came shooting down. It landed in the middle of a huge crater near a river. It had appeared that she had gotten her answer. But by the look on that girl's face, it wasn't the one she was looking for.

Nessa looked at the old man sitting in a rocking chair in the corner of the shack. He gave a shrug to her look of confusion and said, "Don't ask me."

After a moment of silence, the old man said "Did you just talk to the lightning?"

"..." Bella didn't agree or deny, making the man believe it was true.

"What did the lightning say?" He asked excitedly.

Legend says that if one day, a being could communicate with the lightning, a great change that would greatly affect all life would soon come. Bella glanced at him and replied with a dry tone, "I would rather the lightning not talk to me if it means what I think it does."

Bella turned and gave a disgusted look at the girl next to her.

Both Nessa and the old man were surprised. The man was surprised because they were obviously twins, what made her dislike her sister so much? Nessa was all kinds of confused. Who was this girl, who was the weird and strangely energetic old man in the corner and where the heck was she?!

Nessa was done guessing. "I already told you my name. Now, what's your name?"

"... think. Who was the last person you say?"

Nessa easily knew the answer to that, "Bella Fern," She said.

"Well then, Ms. Grace, I think you might want to look at your reflection. It seems to have greatly changed from the last time we met."

Confused but curious, she walked to the river. She… pretty much had the same exact reaction as Bella did, including the large lightning bolt.

"At this rate, the entire yard is going to be destroyed. Why don't we just talk it out inside, away from the possibility of lightning strikes?" The old man said with a huff. He looked pitifully at his precious yard. It now had a few large craters.

Nessa turned and looked at the young girl. "Now, I am going to need to know who you are, or, you are going to die."

The old man was about to cry. Why were these little girls so violent?!

"Now now, little Ms. Grace, there is no reason to resort to violence." Bella replied.

Little Ms. Grace… the only one who called her that was-

"Gah!" Bella suddenly cried out in pain, clutching her head.

"If you think that you are going to get out of this by pretending to be hurt, think again!" Nessa yelled.

"Ahhh!" Bella screamed in pain. Even when she was dying, she had died swiftly, leaving her no time to feel the pain of death. She had never felt pain like this before.

"Wait. I think she might actually be in pain." The old man said. He could clearly see the beads of sweat rolling down her body; her eyes were shut tightly with her head between her knees.

Nessa was an expert doctor, the best and youngest on Earth at that. Besides Bells, of course. She forced herself to calm down and look at Bella closely. She noticed the same thing that he did and reached her hand out to take her pulse. She found nothing wrong. But, if there was nothing wrong, what was she acting like this for?

The old man had a concerned expression. He took Bella's pulse and had the same results. He shook his head helplessly. All they could do was watch.

About 10 minutes later, Bella lay passed out on the floor. The old man lifted her up onto the bed. Nessa looked at him, surprised. "How are you so strong?" She asked.

"What do you mean? I would be a disgrace if I couldn't," He said back.

Nessa had always been very blunt so she directly said, "But you are so old."

The old man was fuming.

"Old? You're old! Your whole family is old! I am only 673 years old! I am young for a medium beast practitioner! Just because I didn't choose to keep my young appearance, you call me old?!"

Crash!

Nessa's jaw hit the floor. "You are 673 years old?! That is impossible! Nobody can live that long!"

"Why can't I live until 673 years? You know that people can live for over ten thousand years, right? I am still very young! I was known as a genius! If I said 2, nobody would dare say 1! Somebody reaching Medium Beast rank at the age 673? Unheard of!"

"What the heck is medium beast rank? Ten thousand years? Impossible!"

"What? Did you hit your head too? The other girl said the same thing!"

"Hit my head? What are you talking abou- UGH!" Nessa suddenly cried out, holding her head in her hands.

"..." Why are these young girls so odd?

They were always fighting. Never knowing what he was talking about.

20 minutes later, something came shooting down to the sky at a quick speed, towards the house. "NOOO! No more lighting! Please! At least away from my house!" The old man pleaded like a madman to the sky.

"..."

"Master, what are you doing?" A voice said.
