Chapter 8

It was now time for fight between Pearl Institute and Imperial Colledge. Not going to lie I'm excited for this fight as well as being able to see Mu Ningxue again. Last time we meet we promised to start over but we also forgot to exchange contacts so we couldn't even text each other. Anyway we nearing the entrance of the school.

Once we head out we have a small tour of the school before being shown towards the stadium for the fight. Before the fight starts we decided on the teams. It ended up being the same as the cannon. I ended up on the second team.

The first match and we lost. Not surprising as the other team were in more in sinc with each other unlike our team. It was time for the second round but like cannon some guy wanted my spot but took someone else's spot on the team. We then walked into the area. On the other side I could see Mu Ningxue walking in. I could see her talking with the teacher. She's now participating. Before the match starts we both look at each other before sending a provoking smirk.

Not ones pov

Mu Ningxue starts off with using her ice magic powered by her soul seed to freeze the ground and nullifying fire users. The imperial then follow it up by sending lightning on the ground towards the pearl. Mo Fan intercepts this by redirecting the lightning to him before sending it back. The imperial defends by using their defensive equipment.A mage on imperial then summons his violet mark wolf. The mage on the pearl starts saying they should listen to him but,

Mo Fan: shut up. if you want to know why you lost ask the professor. for now I want you to go and deal with summoner. My spirit wolf will deal with his summon.For the rest of you please deal with the others. I'll deal with Mu Ningxue. Now go.

Soon after Mo Fan brought out Fenrir. He then told him to deal with the opponents summon. He and the other mage goes to deal with them. Fenrir then fights the violet wolf. They went and traded blow for blow before Fenrir become bored. He then proceeded to beat the opponents summon to until it became unconscious. The summoner then summons him back but has a close call dodging the pearl mage. The imperial mage then uses his water element to use the mid tier spell level 2 to attack the pearl mage when he got in close and couldn't dodge. He ended up being slammed backwards into the wall. Before the Imperial mage could make another spell Fenrir came and knocked him out by slamming into the wall by slapping him using his paw.

As for the fight between Mo Fan and Mu Ningxue it kicked off. Mo Fan kept her busy by sending a Qainjun thunderbolt yaksha at her. She dodges it by using her wind element powered by her soul seed. This however allows Mo Fans teammates to use there elements to attack their opponents.

Mo Fan then used the thunderbolts to lead her into a trap so he can hit her with a lightning strike. When she is in position he uses lightning strike however she blocks it by creating a ice chain to block it. Before he attack again one of the Imperial sends an attack at him so he counters with a lightning strike. But this gives Ningxue enough time to cast her mid tier level 2 wind spell to trap Mo Fan. To escape Mo Fan then punches the wind wall with 3 rose flame powered fire fists.This shocks the audience as they now know he has innate double elements. Ningxue knew this the moment Mo Fan used his lightning.

The battle continued as Ningxue then creates multiple ice chains and send them at Mo Fan. As the ice chains approach Mo Fan used the majestic destroyer flame and broke through her ice chains. This shocked Ningxue but she kept her cool and protecting herself by covering herself with a tornado in front of her which made the move ineffective against her. However the flames did take out her teammates.

Silence permiated the air as both of them stared each other down.

Mo Fan: one move. winner take all

Ningxue: Agreed

Ningxue then prepares to use mid tier level 2 ice chains but Mo Fan was faster. Before Ningxue could finish her spell Mo Fan already finished his and sent it at her. She could only watch as the thunderbolt flew past her head and hit the ground. After a few seconds,

Ningxue: I lose.

The audience became silent as there strongest mage lost. While the audience was silent Mo Fan and Ningxue walked up to each other. They then shook hands.

Ningxue: You may have beaten me now but I will come for a rematch.

Mo Fan: I'll take you on anytime.

After those words they both retreated back to there sides.

Mo Fan pov

After the fight was over we were then showed to our rooms. We will end up staying here for the week but when asked why the teachers didn't say but i already know it's for the joint mission. After settling in I decided to take a walk around the school. While walking I saw Ningxue sitting on a bench. I walked up to her and she saw me.

Mo Fan: Can i sir here?

Nongxue: Sure

Mo Fan then sits down.

Mo Fan: Hey do you remember our promise back in Bo City where we said that we will start from the beginning.

Ningxue: Yes.

Mo Fan: I was wondering since both of us have a day off tomorrow how about we head into town and hang out.

Ningxue: Alright but I have a question. How did you manage to hide your double elements

Mo Fan: Do remember the guy in purple who awakened the lightning element .

Ningxue: yeah

Mo Fan: Well during the awakening when he awakened the lightning element everyone went towards his class even the people from my class. that's why no one noticed my lightning element but when they returned they saw the fire element instead.

Ningxue: I see. Well arnt you lucky.

Mo Fan: I guess I am.

Just like this they ended talking for about 2h before both of them went to there rooms to prepare for tommorow. However this time they exchanged contacts.
