6 Chapter 6: Nami

While we were busy chatting, the door of the Restaurant was opened and I saw a beautiful girl, slender with long legs and an orange hair walking inside the restaurant.

As I was looking at her slender figure, she approached a table just besides us and was ordering an orange juice.

She sense my gaze and look at me with a calm expression.

I smiled at her and she was also smiling back at me.

I tried talking to her but soon she cancel the thought because I knew an opportunity would soon arise.

After we ate, Zoro and I left the restaurant quietly and I told Zoro that he should roam around and see if there are any thing that interest him. I also told him that I have somethings I want to do so we both go different ways.

I was roaming around looking at different buildings. I looked like I was walking around without any thing in mind but in reality, I was looking out for Buggy and his crew. I walked towards the centre of the town where I see many people there.

I thought to myself ' This must be the place where I will meet Buggy. I will just wait for him to show up'.

I don't want to stay in the four seas like the original because I think it was just a waste of time. I will speedrun everything before we reach Grandline. From there I will take things slowly.

While I was busy thinking about my future plans. I heard a loud noise that seemed to be an explosion a few blocks away from me so I casually walked towards the place I heard the noise.

I thought to myself' Hmmmm. My luck seems to be quite good since I don't waste much time'.

I saw Nami running from two thugs. She was running towards but since we haven't had the chance to introduce ourselves, I decided to initiate the conversation and said " Are you being chased by those guys? Do you need my help? "

When she heard that I was speaking to her, she took the chance and quickly grab my legs "Captain, those guys are trying to catch me. You must help me or else they will torture me." She lied without any hesitation.

Since I already knew her character, I don't question her and look at her with a smile "Shishishishi, don't worry. I'll handle them" as I said that, I looked at the two person chasing her and release a little bit of Conqueror's Haki to knock them out. I also let Nami feel my haki a little so that it would be easier to convince her to join me.

The two pirates running towards us suddenly fell to the ground unconcious. Seeing this, Nami felt horror. She was never this scared even in front of Arlong pirates. Since she was also hit with a little bit of Conquerors haki, she was frightened she almost pissed herself. Her face was really hilarious I almost couldn't hold my laughter.

Since I don't want to waste many time in the four seas, I decided to take things a little different.

I looked at Nami and asked" Hello, are you Nami?"

She was still so scared and couldn't even speak properly but she nod many times to single question afraid that she might make me angry.

"Cool. I am Monkey D. Luffy. I am going to be the king of the pirates. Shishsishsi . I heard from some people that you have excellent Navigation skills. I decided that you should join my crew. Shishishisi".

Hearing that I was a I pirate, she hesitated a little. She was thinking hard how to answer my questions. She wanted to reject me since we have never met before but was a little scared after seeing my show of strength.

Seeing her hesitation, I added" If you join my crew as a navigator, I will also give you lots of treasures in the future and you will also be the ship's treasurer. So you d". She quickly agreed even before I finished my speech.

All her hesitation and fear had been long gone when she heard treasure. She was starting to think ways on how to exploit me and rob me since she can't trust pirates at the moment.

I don't blame her because I knew all of her problems. I don't care about the plot at this point. All I want was to quickly collect my crew and enter the new world. So I think of the fastest possible ways to gain their trust.

I looked at her and said" Shishishsi. Since you are willing to join my crew. Let's get back to our ship first. I will introduce you the other member. There are also many things you should know. Shishsishi ".

She was a little hesitant but when she think of the words treasures. She quickly follow me.

After a short walk, we reached the dock and when Nami saw a luxurious huge ship, she was definitely surprised. I point at the 'Flying Raijin' and said" That's our crews ship. Amazing right? Shishsishsi"

Nami was happy that she would be travelling in that huge ship that looks like none she had ever seen and was extremely excited.

I slowly walked towards the ship trying to look cool but Nami couldn't contain herself and pushed me aside and ran towards the ship. As soon as she board the ship, she doesn't care whether there are people on the ship or not. She ran around looking different rooms. After a brief moment, she ran back to me still feeling extremely excited and asked" Captain, Is this really our ship. It is so huge and luxurious. I bet even the Celestial dragons doesn't have ships like this. I am extremely happy to join you. Hurry, where are the other crewmates. You should introduce them to me quickly. I want to meet them"

She was acting like a little child fawning over little things.

I looked at her and said" You can just call me Luffy and about the crew. There is only one person without you and he is still going out so I'll introduce you when he came back".

Nami was dumbfounded hearing that there is only one more person in the crew so I quickly explained" It hasn't been long since I became a pirate and I haven't meet many people so I still don't have many friends. You are the third person to join the crew and welcome. Shishsishsi"

She looked at me with a weird gaze and just as she was about to ask me another question, Zoro was back to the ship.

I waved at him and said" Zoro, this is Nami. Our new crewmate. She will be the Navigator of our ship".

Zoro looked at her and said" I am Roronoa Zoro. Welcome to the crew. I am going to train my haki" and walked straight to the training room .

Nami thought to herself' what a rude bastard' but still said politely" Hell, My name is Nami. Pleased to meet you"

I was looking at them and simply laughed at their antics.

" Nami, there are many things you need to know about this ship so follow me and I will inform you about the things you need to know" I said calmly and walked towards the ship's control room.

She followed me silently and listened to all the things I said. She was quite attentive and listened to me carefully and doesn't have many questions. After I told her many things about the ship, she can't wait to sail and test all the features of the ship that she had just learned.

"Okay, if you don't have any more questions, let's eat and spend some time chatting. We aren't in a hurry so there are many more things I would like to tell you. You can do whatever you want while I prepared our meal. I will call you after I finished it." I said and left her alone.

After a short while, I finished preparing our dinner and call out Zoro and Nami to the Dining hall.

I asked Zoro " How's your training of armament haki going? Any progress"

" Not so much, it's much harder than I thought. I still can't put it up for long. I might need a lot more time" Zoro said irritated.

Hearing our conversation, Nami couldn't help being curious so she asked" What are you talking about?"

I looked and her and said" There is a thing called haki which is a must if you want to survive out in the seas. Currently, we are in East Blue and it is one of the weakest sea so many people doesn't even know about it but after we cross the grand line, It is necessary if we want survive"

Nami was left dumbfounded and was even more curious so she asked" What is this Haki thing? Can I also learn it?". She was also a little worried since I made it out to be so important.

" Yes you can learn it too. I will teach you later so you don't have to worry about it. Do you remember the time I saved you yesterday. The pressure that knocked out the men chasing you?"

When She recalled the events of yesterday, she was a little scared and shivers. Fear had suddenly enveloped her once again when she remembered the pressure I gave out and look at me with a little hint of fear.

I looked at her calmly and said' That was Conquerors Haki. There are three types of Haki and that is one of them." I told her many things and we spent four hours talking different types of things.

Even Zoro didn't walk away and listened to our conversation carefully and sometimes spoke too.

They were both a little afraid and at the same time extremely excited. The adventure ahead is going to be thrilling.

I told them many things about the New World and our goals. I told them I want them to be strong quickly so we don't have many problems in the new world which they accept easily.

After hearing different forms of haki and it's uses, Nami also agreed to learn them the next day so that's a good thing.

After drinking some wine which I bought from the system store, we finally went to sleep.

And soon dawn breaks.

I woke up and walk out from my room to prepare some meals and went towards the kitchen.

Nami was already awake and was eager to set sail.

She looked at me with a cute face and asked" Hey Luffy, can we already set sail. I want to try the ship very much"

" Okay, you can start the ship while I prepare our meals. Our destination is Cocoyashi Village" I said looking Nami because I want to see her reaction.

Just as I expected, Nami froze when I mentioned her village and soon fear struck her.

She quickly controlled herself and asked" What are we going to do at Cocoyashi village? Are we going to rob them?".

I can feel trace of fear in her words.

I put up a serious expression and said" No Nami, Even though we are pirates. We won't rob the innocents or terrorize them."

She was comforted a little hearing my words but she was still curious" if we aren't going to rob them, what are we going to do in Cocoyashi Village?"

I still put up my serious expression and release a little trace of haki to effect her mood which was very successful. I looked at her and said " I heard from some people that a fishman bastard named Arlong is staying there bullying the weak and terrorizing the village. I am going to beat him crazy"

Nami looked at me without knowing what to say. She was speechless and little tears could be seen in her eyes.

(A/N: I broke my laptop and lost everything that I had prepared so I couldn't post anything for a long time. I have to type this story using my phone and it's a lot of pain but I will try updating daily.
