2 Klaus Mikaelson

It has now been 6 hours since Damon woke up in the body of Klaus Mikaelson. At first, he couldn't understand what was going on, believing it must have been some dream or hallucination. But once he was hit with the memories of Klaus Mikaelson, he realized he was inside the show "Originals." It was a show he watched many times over, one that his sister forced him into, and once she was gone, he would occasionally watch it to remind him of the few happy moments he got to experience in his life.

Damon, now known as Klaus, stood on the balcony taking in the beauty of the city before him, listening to the music, the sounds of people walking, and the smell of food and drinks several blocks away. All his senses were enhanced to superhuman levels, and even more so as he was a hybrid, the strongest creature in the world. It felt amazing; he could feel his power, his strength, yet his body felt so light. He felt no pain, no soreness, no fatigue, nothing hinting at human fragility.

Suddenly, he felt a presence behind him and instinctively knew exactly who it was. With a smirk, he greeted him. "Let the games begin," Klaus thought to himself.

"Hello, brother. What do I owe the pleasure of the visit from my most noble brother?" Klaus said in a mocking tone.

"Niklaus," replied Elijah. "As always, saving you from yourself... come with me."

Klaus did not resist and went with him, which caught Elijah off guard, unsure if he should be happy or worried.

Klaus followed Elijah to Lafayette Cemetery, where he met up with Sophie Deveraux, who told him about Marcel. Klaus acted surprised by all this information, but truth be told, he couldn't care less about them.

"This is all very fascinating, but I don't see why I should care about you... witches..." Klaus said with a bored and mocking tone.

He then started to hear footsteps accompanied by a voice almost as beautiful as the face belonging to...

"Klaus?"

Klaus turned and looked straight into the eyes of Phoebe Tonkin, or rather the beautiful Hayley Marshall. He gave a small smile and was already plotting how to send Jackson to the other side.

He turned around, feigning surprise before letting out a smirk.

"Little wolf, you have an exceptional nose for trouble, you know that right?"

Elijah was taken aback by his brother's reaction, expecting him to blow up and question everyone about their evil plans to take him down.

"Niklaus, this girl is carrying your child," Elijah said, observing every feature to gauge his reaction.

While Klaus already knew about all of this, he still wasn't sure how to feel about it. It was not his kid, but now he was Klaus, so it technically was, which was giving him a headache.

While he knew Elijah saw this child as his final chance at redemption, Klaus realized this was his second chance to have everything that he once had and lost.

"That is impossible. Vampires can't procreate," said Klaus as he turned toward his brother.

"But werewolves can. Magic made you a vampire, but you were born a wolf; this is simply one of nature's many loopholes," replied Sophie.

"Loopholes, you gotta love those," Klaus said to his brother with a sarcastic tone before looking back at Hayley, who seemed both nervous and scared. She was fidgeting with her nails and unable to meet his gaze. Klaus looked down at her stomach and listened closely; he could hear it, the heartbeat of their child.

He looked back up at Hayley, but this time she met his gaze. His eyes were soft and reassuring with a warm smile before turning around towards Sophie and said, "Fine, I will help you," Klaus said with a firm and serious tone.

Everyone was taken aback by Klaus' reply.

Elijah was having a hard time understanding what his brother was up to. He knew the thought of someone telling him what to do, let alone threatening him, would send him into a murderous rage, yet he was perfectly calm and acted with thought.

Sophie was shocked by how easily Klaus agreed. She had heard of the atrocities, the murders, and genocide he had committed. She knew how merciless he was, void of any humanity. That was the whole reason he needed Elijah, to begin with—the only person who could control this monster.

Hayley was shocked by this as well. She never expected Klaus to react this way. He was nothing like she remembered from the brief time they knew each other; he was being kind and reassuring, even teasing her a little to relieve her anxiety. She had expected him to throw allegations that she must have slept with someone else or she was plotting against him.

Sophie was the first one to snap out of it.

"I am glad you have come to see reason, Klaus, but to make sure you don't try to run out of our agreement, we have taken precautions," Sophie said while showing her hand and poked one of her fingers slightly.

"Ouch," Hayley said while holding her hand up.

Klaus went towards Hayley in vamp-speed and inspected the wound.

"What is the meaning of this?" Klaus demanded in an angry and authoritative tone.

"The spell was used to confirm the pregnancy and also made sure I am bound to Hayley, so if you don't follow my instructions to the letter, I WILL have to take drastic measures," replied Sophie with confidence before her eyes turned sad. "Last act my sister did before Marcel got hold of her."

"This is not what we agreed upon," said Elijah while placing himself between Klaus, Hayley, and Sophie—not so much to shield the girl but more to stop Niklaus from doing something to jeopardize the life of the pregnant girl and the child.

Klaus was still holding Hayley's hand while looking back up at her face; she was more beautiful than he could have imagined in real life.

He could also see she was very worried about the current situation. Klaus gave her a small squeeze on her hand, making her look at him and being met with a reassuring smirk, which she replied with a small smile.

Klaus turned around and walked towards Sophie in a threatening manner. Elijah, seeing this, took a step forward to meet Klaus, but before he could say anything, Klaus put one hand up to stop him and patted him on the shoulder without taking his eyes from Sophie.

Elijah, while unsure and hesitant, agreed to step aside, trusting his brother against his better judgment, yet something about his demeanor said he would do nothing to harm the girl but was ready to step in immediately if need be.

He stopped a few feet from Sophie while intensely gazing into her eyes. While she was trying to act strong, her confidence faltered, and her heartbeat was through the roof.

"I am sorry for what happened to your sister," Klaus said with nothing but true sincerity, which once again caught everyone off guard, contemplating if this truly was the real Klaus Mikaelson.

"I... I..." Sophie stammered, unsure how to react to Klaus' sincerity. Nothing he did was within the expectations she had set.

"But understand this," Klaus continued. "If even a single scratch were to occur upon her through this bond, every man, woman, child, every single witch in this town that you know, you have ever cared for will perish!" Klaus said

with a calm but extremely threatening tone, holding back his anger.

Before Sophie could respond, Klaus continued, "While you may believe you have nothing to lose, I will prove you otherwise. You will watch as I take away your humanity, turn you into the very thing you hate so much, and have you watch. I will kill them all, remove their heads, rip out their hearts, and then force it down your throat," Klaus continued, now also growling. His eyes turned yellow, with black veins appearing around his eyes.

Elijah was about to step forward, fearing his brother was about to lose control, but then Klaus pointed towards him.

"And let me tell you one more thing... whatever atrocities you may think I have done, whatever monster you may think I am, it's nothing compared to my noble brother there... not when family is concerned," Klaus took another step towards Sophie, now only inches apart from each other, who was frozen in fear. "Do we have an understanding... witch..."

"I... I..." Sophie stammered, but Klaus cut her off.

"Good, then I am glad you have come to see reason," Klaus said in a light and mocking tone.

He then turned around and looked at Elijah, who was tense, not hiding his surprise by everything that transpired here, and Hayley, who seemed to have been a little scared of Klaus.

"Shall we?" Klaus said while gesturing to the door with his hand to leave.
