3 Chapter 2

As the light surrounded me died down I looked at my surroundings.

Finding myself standing on a beach.

An ocean of crystal clear water near me.

I can also make out a port and a town in the distance on my left.

Seeing it I got ready to head in its direction through the forest in front of me.

But before I did so I headed over to the edge of the water to get a better look at my appearance. In particular what I am wearing. Since I want to make sure I am not walking around in hideous clothing.

Appearance is important after all.

No matter what anyone says.

Reaching the edge of the water I leaned over it, and saw my reflection.

Sure enough I look exactly like Edward Kenway.

I mean I know I do but I just had to check. To make sure what I experienced wasn't just a crazy dream. Now that I know it's not the skies the limit.

Look out One Piece world, Edward Kenway is here and he came to play.

But back to the reason I wanted to get a look at my appearance in the first place.

The clothing I am currently wearing is Edward Kenway's original assassin robes from the game. In addition to that I also have two hidden blade vambraces secured to my forearms.

I smiled upon seeing this.

"Nice." I mused.

Feeling excitement rush through me I activated the mechanism on the vambraces like a natural and the second after I did so I heard a clicking sound and the hidden blades sprung free. 

Once they did so I retracted them.

I then activated the mechanism in the vambraces and sent them out once more.

The clicking sound the blades when they released becoming music to my ears.

Retracting the blades once again I moved away from the beach.

I then made my way to the forest and started trekking through it.

On my way to the town I saw in the distance.

Where upon reaching I would officially start my new life as Edward Kenway.

Nice.

Sitting at an outdoor table at a restaurant I held a sandwich in my left hand. While I held a newspaper in my right.

The former I am eating, while the latter I am reading. 

The first is because I am starving. While the latter is too gather information. Specifically to find out where I am in the One Piece timeline. Since the ROB failed to mention where he would place me in the timeline when he sent me here.

But that's fine.

Namely because I have already figured out where I am in the timeline currently.

All thanks to the headline on the front page of the newspaper I am currently reading.

'Whitebeard Samurai Deserts Him For Roger'

Disregarding its sus name the article basically talks about the fact Oden left the Whitebeard Pirates and is now sailing with the Roger Pirates. Which took place a year before Roger found Laugh Tale and was crowned Pirate King.

That means I have two years left until Roger is "captured" by the marines and executed. Thus kickstarting the 'Great Pirate Era'.

Now that I know this I can plan accordingly.

Since I am going to be a pirate.

There was honestly never any other choice for me to follow upon arriving in the One Piece world. Even if I didn't become Edward Kenway and ended up as some other character from a different anime, manga, or videogame I would've still become a pirate.

Sailing the high seas, following no rules but your own, discovering treasures, etc.

Those are the reasons I fell in love with One Piece back in my previous world in the first place.

Now that I am actually in the world itself I'll embody those ideas I loved so much and not let anyone stop me from doing so.

It's a pirates life for me.

Finishing up my lunch I then finished reading the days paper.

Once I did so I ordered and began enjoying a cup of coffee as I planned what I would do with myself until Rogers execution took place in a couple of years.

'The first and foremost thing I need to do is find a way to make money.' I thought.

Since upon arriving in this world I didn't have a dollar-no sorry. What I mean to say is I didn't have a belly on me.

The only way I was even able to pay for my lunch and the paper I just finished reading was by using my pickpocket skills to swipe money off the unsuspecting merchants and pirates that freely walk the streets here in Loguetown.

Oh, that's right. I forgot to mention this earlier but the place the ROB transported me to is Loguetown in the East Blue.

But back to the main point.

I need a way to make cash.

Not only so that I can live properly until I officially set out to sea and begin my pirate career, but also in preparation for my pirate career as well. Since I plan to be the captain of my own crew.

There is no way I will ever serve under anyone else.

But again, to do both those things money is required.

Well for me anyway.

I'm not like a certain Nika-man protagonist who can get by on luck, charisma, and plot armor.

"What to do, what to do." I mused to myself.

I thought long and hard about it, until eventually the solution came to be.

Just like Zoro I'll become a bounty hunter and then become a pirate when the time comes.

My plan set I leisurely drank my coffee, enjoying the nice breeze that is blowing.

All the while thinking about the future adventures I would have.
