1 Chapter 1 life and death

Themba, not the typical name for an Otaku. Born and raised in a small farming town in Eastern cape by a two loving parents, his childhood was happy. The family moved there after his father who worked as a mine engineer had an accident at work leading him to be unable to walk. As you can imagine how difficult this time was for the young couple only 26 years old at the time, from the continuous looks of pity and rare mockary , to the inconvenience of living in a wheel chair in a crowded city they moved to a eastern cape. The couple bought a sizable farm with their saving and money paid from the company's accident fund. Although it was tough at the beginning, Sizwe Ngcobo, Themba's grandfather who lost his wife a couple of years prior, moved in with the couple, as a former farmer he had no problem with setting up a profitable farm and managing it. With themba' s grandfather managing the farm and his mother a former nurse taking care of Themba's father the family was happy. With all the free time Themba's father decided to continue his studies.

Years passed as Themba's father now Professor J. Ngcobo had become South Africa's leading engineering expert, the family was now having built a huge mansion and their farm expanded finally got a new addition, baby Themba.

Themba was home schooled as there were no schools close by and was soon discovered to be a genius. His love of science developed early as just like any boy wanted to be just like his father. He finished elementary school education at the age of 6, high school by 10 and immediately dived into the computer engineering. Graduating at 13 but tragedy hit when he was 14 when his grandfather died due to cancer. Distraught at his hero's passing, he shifted his focus to medicine not wanting to feel powerless again.

By 26 Themba was world leading expert in medicine managing to find the cure for HIV and cancer .But Themba was always frastrated he could make his father walk, so deciding it was time for a change he moved to USA to study at MIT hoping to find a solution in robotics. Unexpectedly this would be the place he would find love first time.

The first two years were tough as this was his first time alone. Although he was used to having no friends Themba, always had his family and besides South Africa was home. The states were different, he was used to being weird because of his lack of social interaction but now he even looked and sounded weird. Thus he found comfort in manga, comics and anime. They ingited his boyish wonder and love for science ;he was fascinated : could all these worlds really exist? Could physics and engineering take us there? Could biology and medicine unlock such power in man? Or is it martial arts? . He loved it, it inspired him, it gave him a goals that were borderline fiction. He wondered why he never took interest in this before.

At 28 he met her, 19 year old Nina Akinsola a Nigeria beauty also specializing in robotics. Whether it was because they were both from Africa, or they were equally lonely and out of place or that they didn't have to try to sound American when they talked to each other they quickly became friends and soon lovers. Nina was beautiful, caring and made Themba better. She took him out of his dreams of a better world to wanting to make this one better. From traveling to setting up charities she was always there to support, to learn, to challenge as they lived their life together.

Age 31, the time to marry. Step 1 :Meet her parents as the man asking for her hand in marriage not just the boyfriend they heard about (there's a difference) . Step 2 : lobola (dowry). Step 3 : the wedding.He was nervous

I mean he was 9 years older than her, will they be OK with that?! And man, she was beautiful! Intelligent! Perfect! So so perfect! And he was just a nerd.

Despite Nina trying to get him out of what she saw as idiocy because to her he was perfect! Themba couldn't help but sweat.

Thankfully everything turned out to be his "idiocy". They loved their new soon in law who accomplished so much, so young and step 1 to 3 went without a hitch.

Years passed and the couple spent their time traveling and on their private research projects .Themba finally had a breakthrough with his father's problem by installing a chip that acted as a bridge from his lover body and brain making the first ever bio technology completly powered and controlled by the brain.

Unfortunately this life was short lived when they were involved in a car accident due to a drunk driver and died (Themba 40 years old, Nina 31 years old).
