7 Magic practice
To start of I lie down on the ground and try to clear my head of all unnecessary distractions. This is so that I can try and feel the mana that I already have flowing through my body.
30 Minutes of non stop meditation later a notification appears in front of me.
[Meditation lvl 1 acquired]
[When activated cuts of all senses from the outside world while at the same time improving mana, health and stamina regen by 10% per lvl.]
After surprisingly acquiring a skill for meditation. I activate the skill to see if that will help me find the mana in my body.
As I focus inwards in meditation I eventually experience a revelation as I feel mana flowing throughout my body. I then try and forcefully push the mana flowing through me to my paws. I eventually succeed but all that it accomplishes is that I now have alot of mana swirling around in my paws.
After an hour of trying to force the mana out of my hands and having nothing to show for it. I decide that it is time to try a different approach.
This time I try and gently nudge the mana already flowing in my hands out into the air. To my astonishment this actually works as the mana flows out of my hand and into the air.
With the mana outside of my body I start to practice gently guiding it into different shapes.
When I combine it into a ball above my paw it coalesces into blue ball that can be seen by the naked eye.

I jump up in joy at finally having a magical skill and a use for all the mana that I have managed to collect. Calming back down from the rush of dopamine I just recieved. I focus back on my mana to see if I can make a mana bullet which is the staple spell for all beginner mages in the books I had read.
A bit of experimentation later and a new skill acquisition screen is floating in front of me.

[Fire a mana bullet for 10 mana that will deal 10 magic damage. Mana cost decrease and damage increases as the skill lvl increases.]
With that out of the way it is finally time to try out the affinities that got me to start practicing in the first place.
I am first going to try the space element as who wouldn't in my position. I try and imagine being in the area in front of me while at the same time attuning my mana to the space element and moving it around my body.
Straight away I disappeared and then reappeared at the spot that I was thinking about. Surprised I just stand there for a while as I realise that I had actually managed to teleport which had always been a dream of mine.

[Teleport to anywhere you have been or can see that is within skill lvl × 10 meters. 100 mana cost.]
Proceeding onto the next spell I saturate my claws with space attuned mana before proceeding to slash out in front of me. As I do this I imagine my claws reaching through the space in front of me and cutting the wall in front of me.
While I slash through the air I feel a slight resistance before I see deep claw marks appear on the wall in front of me.

[Teleports your attack forward to what you are aiming for while at the same time increasing the cutting power of the attack. Distance and strength increased on skill level up.]
Deciding that this is enough space affinity spells I proceed onto the metallic earth affinity.
I begin by guiding metallic earth attuned mana into the stone below me until it is saturated with my mana. Once this is done I imagine the stone flowing like liquid where ever I will it. After a while of nonstop focus on this one thing. The stone starts to liquify and flow where I want it to.

[Move the earth around as you see fit. The amount you can control increases as you level up while the cost decreases.]
Before I can even celebrate having created a new spell the system pops up in front of me again.

Seeing this I am even more grateful to the glacial wolf as this is a huge boon to me and I probably wouldn't have been able to acquire affinities for a long while still if I hadn't been chased down here.
Anyway now that I have got some magic I think it is about time that I tried to find a way out of this dark and gloomy cave.
