423 Ashen Vessel

Splitting headache. Krista. Splitting headache. Krista.

Even though he was asleep, he could feel a hammer strike a nail deeper into his skull.

He didn't want to wake up.

KRISTA!

The white-scaled Monster opened its eyes and rose to its feet in less than a second.

'I need to-'

"Well, this is a surprise." An unfamiliar voice coming from behind the white-scaled Monster.

Only then did Mark take stock of his surroundings.

The sun shone with an orange-reddish hue. It was dawn, or perhaps dusk.

His gaze moved to his feet.

The ground was covered by grass.

Grass that resembled wheat in color. Golden grass covered the ground, spanning way into the horizon.

His eyes went to the sky. The moon was barely visible, as if translucent.

How did he get here? Where was he? Mark did not know. He couldn't exactly remember where he was prior to waking up in this place.

A familiar confusion.
