Graduation and post graduation preparation

Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Taijutsu, Iryoninjutsu and Fuinjutsu. Any academy student that can perform any two of these shinobi arts to an acceptable level can pass the genin selection exam.

This was the rule written by the second Hokage during the creation of shinobi academy. And it has been followed ever since. But these exact rules has been modified when the passed down from one tongue to another.

But in reality you can apply to give the exam in any of these two arts and pass the genin selection exam.

Mostly The academy focused on three shinobi arts. Ninjutsu, Genjutsu and Taijutsu. So almost all of the students apply to take the exam in any two of these three arts.

But the grading system is different. The rookie of the year and the kunoichi of the year is declared from the scores in shinobi arts as well as academic scores that has been recorded earlier.

Extra credits could be given to those students who can perform any three shinobi arts. Actually that was the maximum number of shinobi arts that any student is allowed to take the exam on.

And in my application I went with Iryoninjutsu, ninjutsu and fuinjutsu.

The three subjects I was absolutely confident on.

But I didn't expect the Hokage to be my judge during fuinjutsu and Iryoninjutsu exams. I had confidence in my ability to suppress my Chakra. But I was really worried that the professor might find out about my secret. But thankfully he didn't notice anything. Or at least that's my theory.

The exam was fairly simple. For the exam in medical ninjutsu, I had to separate a nonlethal poison from the arms of a shinobi.

And in the fuinjutsu exam, I had to create a storage scroll and seal some given items in them.

I passed both the test with ease.

The other exams were judged by our academic instructors.

So finally passing the ninjutsu portion of the exams, I took a blue headband and went to wait outside.

I had decided to customise my headband as I didn't like neither blue or black colour. So I simply stored it in the storage seal on my gloves and waited with other students for the final announcement.

"Hey Sakura ! Where is your headband ?"

Ino asked me. She has yets to complete her ninjutsu portion of examination.

"In my storage seal. I didn't like the blue or the black colour of the fabric. So I am going to customise it to my liking." I told Ino and took the seat besides her.

After that I zoned out thinking about my future planning. But when I finally came back to reality after Iruka sensei entered the class for the final announcement, I didn't found Naruto among the graduates.

'It seems that some events does not change with a slight butterfly effect.'

"Naruto failed ? I guess it is just his bad luck. The guy is better than even Sasuke in taijutsu. The only thing he suck at is the clone jutsu. And that's the exact question that came in today's exam." Ino looked at Naruto, who was sitting on the school swing with a sad face.

Because of the friendship between Naruto Shikamaru and Chozi, Ino's behaviour was neutral towards him.

"I heard that last year, a student who failed in normal graduation exam later passed it when he appealed Hokage sama. But from what have I heard, he had to defeat a genin to pass the exam." I said to Ino.

"Do you think we should inform him about it ?" Ino asked me.

"No not now, he is very sad. I don't know how he will react. His apartment is not far from my house. And besides I think it will be better if Chozi or Shikamaru inform him about it."

I said to Ino.

"Okay I will tell them about it. But before that how about we go out tonight. You know a celebration with us only girls. I will call Ami and ...." Ino stopped mid sentence.

"Don't even think about inviting Hinata when her Naruto kun has failed. She might take it as an offence to Naruto and I don't want to imagine what will happen after that. She is really violent when things comes to Naruto." I warned Ino.

"Yeah you are right. It's not worth it.

Anyway let's meet at yakin Q at seven in the evening." Ino told me and I nodded.

Some things are unavoidable no matter what. Ofcourse I had no plan what's so ever to go to the forest during night. I knew that the risk wasn't worth it. After a small celebration at yakin Q, I didn't return home, but went to the hospital. Being a medic apprentice has it's own benifits. And I wanted to confirm that Naruto passed, by tomorrow morning. And the best way to do that is to visit hospital.

"Oh ! Sakura what are you doing here in this late hour ?"Dr Muramasa asked me.

"Nothing. I was returning from a small celebration with my friends after our graduation. So I thought I should ask whether I can continue my work as usual in the hospital to the chief medic while I am on my way." I told him.

"Of course you can. We can always use another hand. We are short staffed in the hospital anyway." Muramasa immediately give his permission.

"Thank you sensei. Good night." After greeting him I went back to my home. Now I just have to wait for the morning. If Iruka is admitted to the hospital, then I can assume that Naruto passed the test.

After that I have plans to start my training with my new weapon. I may have practiced with wooden daggers, but the Chakra dagger is different.

So I have plans to practice with it before the team assignment.

"Mom what is this?" I just came out of shower when mom handed me over a couple of bags.

"It's the first prototype kunoichi outfit of your design. And it's a gift from me to you for your graduation. It is not made of durable fabric like your custom outfit, but it's comparatively more durable and comfortable than normal shinobi clothes.

You know your idea is actually genius ! We have received pre orders even before the launch of the product.

By the way, you are going to the hospital. Aren't you ? You should try my outfit. I will be really happy.

Oh ! And one more thing ! Can you deliver this package to your friend Ino on your way ? She has custom ordered this outfit."

She told me so first that I barely understand anything.

I sighed after she left.

The package meant for Ino was sealed. So I left it on my table and went to try the outfit that my mom has given me.



The top was fine.

But there were no pants !

The pants, no, thongs would be better than them.

I went downstairs to eat my breakfast in that outfit. I was really surprised that I was feeling little to no shame walking around in something like that. Maybe this world is affecting my psychy. Well when everyone consider something normal around you, then no matter how awkward you feel at first you will get used to it with time no matter what.

"Wow ! You look beautiful Sakura !" Mom said after seeing me.

I sighed. "Mom, don't you think it's a bit too much provocative ?"

"No, I designed it specially for you . You look sexy in it. So I think you are more than fine in it."

I knew there was no point in arguing. So I just finished my breakfast and left to the hospital with Ino's package in my hands.
