Sorry guys what I uploaded was the end of the wave arc. Here you go. This is the next chapter.

Being overly cautious is not good

I didn't realise when we passed the puddle on the road. I was to focused on maintaining the anticlockwise rotation of my Chakra.

I came back to my senses when I saw scary looking shinobi lied where should be the puzzle. I stared at them confused.

'Why aren't they attacking ?'

"Sakura what's wrong ?" Kakashi asked me.

Then I realised that I had broken the genjutsu they have casted upon themselves and seeing the real them.

But then I realised that Naruto and Sasuke where not aware of the puddle.

'I haven't lifted any genjutsu, but I am seeing through them !'

I knew from my previous lessons in the academy that it is possible to see through illusions casted upon one's self through enough training and Chakra control. But I hadn't gotten any such training.

Gozu saw the kunoichi from the genin team staring at them.

From their conversation so far he has did used that the team that is guarding the bridge builder, is just a new genin team. But that wasn't the problem. He recognised their jonin instructor. It was Kakashi Hatake, famously known as the copy Ninja.

With someone like that around, they didn't dare to attack them inside the land of fire.

Gozu and Meizu , were famous for their ambush techniques. They has mastared Chakra suppression to it's maximum limit. When the truly want to hide even a kage level shinobi would find it hard to actually find them.

There overall strength might be not much but during the third great shinobi war even when they were mere genins, they were famous for their ambush techniques. They had killed many chunins and had gotten the title of demon brothers.

So Gozu was not worried about being found out by the jonin. Even Zabuza couldn't find them when they came after his head. But the bastard was first and very skillful. He got them and was about to kill them. But both of them begged for their lives. And even offered to defect kiri and serve him. That's how now Zabuza is their boss. And they are here targeting a civilian.

After observing the team for a while, they had made their plan. David ambush them after they crossed the border of the land of fire.

First they would target the Jonin and kill him. And when the newbie genins were disoriented, Gozu would finish the bridge builder. After that they would finish the remaining two shinobi and then they would collect the jonin's head and have some fun with the girl with the bubble butt.

According to their planning they suppressed their Chakra and casted a simple double layered genjutsu upon themselves and waited for the team to pass.

But when the girl turned back and stared at them suddenly as the team just passed the puddle.

'Did she noticed us ?'

But soon Gozu realised that the copy Ninja was not sure what is the girl is looking at.

So he signalled Meizu to attack before the girl could speak anything about her suspicion.

It will completely destroy their plan to ambush the team.

Without any delay both of them attacked at the same time.

The jonin was really surprised seeing them emerging from the water. And they took the advantage of this surprise and wrapped their spiked chain around the jonin. And in an instant they shredded the copy Ninja to pieces.

I saw it clearly how skillfully Kakashi used substitution jutsu.

But unlike me, Naruto and Sasuke saw kakashi being shredded to pieces.

I immediately pulled back Tazuna behind me.

One of them threw kunais at Sasuke while he attacked Naruto.

The other one came towards me, probably to get behind me and kill the bridge builder.

Sasuke was busy with weapons while Naruto was barely able to dodge the attack.

I quickly unseathed the dagger from my waist and attacked towards my opponents arm while coating it with chakra scaple.

The man lifted his weapon to block my attack while swinging the free and of the chain with another. But before the chain could reach me, my dagger sliced cleanly through his weapon and arm. His attack failed as Sasuke threw a kunai towards the chain. not even a moment after that Kakashi showed up restraining both the shinobi with his bare hands.

I sighed in relief that everything went smoothly. But the next moment kakashi's remarks of all of us froze me in my place.

"Naruto you froze up after seeing my death. I am happy that you care about me. But remember that even a single moment of hesitation can cause you your life in the battlefield. But you managed to break out of it and Dodge his attack. So I will say good job to you.

Sasuke you did good for someone who is attacked so suddenly. You even considered your teammate and your client. So good job.

And lastly Sakura.

You saw them while we are crossing them didn't you.

You are confused. But you didn't said anything to your team or even alerted them. I know that this is a common mistake for newbies like you but I will talk about it with you after we turn to the village."

Kakashi remarked the genins.

But there is only one thought going on in the head of Sakura

'Fuck ! Being overly cautious is not good !'
