6 Chapter 6 - Battle with the Direwolves
A/N: from here onwards Rimuru would be called as Aniki from the perspective of the MC

As we became the leaders of this Goblin village, I asked to the Village elder "you said you have fought the Direwolves right? Are there anyone alive or all of them dead"
And the village elder replied "yes Emeric-sama, a few of them are alive, but they are heavily wounded"
"Aniki, you take care of the causalities, I will fortify the village defences.."
As Aniki left for taking care of casualties, I assembled goblins and selected the persons who are looking strong,
Then we quickly starting building fences all around the villages and also I setup traps not only in the front but also around the village using [Sticky Thread] and [Steel Thread].
I doubled the traps at the back of the village just in case if someone attacks from behind, the village is not that big, so I can easily go anywhere if needed.
I have also asked them bring them all the weapons they had, and the goblins bought damaged Swords, Shields, Spears and Bow & Arrows.
I took one Sword and absorbed it and asked Jarvis to analyze it 'Jarvis, analyze and can you modify the Sword to be strong, lightweight and durable?'
Jarvis analyzed it and made the Sword strong light weight and durable, I have also done the same Spears and Shields and Bow & Arrows.
I have divided the assembled the goblins into four forces
Fencer Division – Swordsman
Phalanx Division – Spearman
Quiver Division – Archers
Guardian Division – Goblin who guard women and children
I specifically created this Guardian division to guard women and children and older goblins just in case if the unfortunate things happen, those are also given swords and spears along with the shields
I have made a lot of copies of Swords and Shields, bows according to the number of goblins, I have made Arrows and Spears more than necessary as they would be throwing at the Direwolves
Soon the evening came and Aniki was shocked and impressed about the current outcome, the weapons, the fences and the traps
as the night came, we heard a loud howl of Direwolves, as the Goblins heard the howl and they all started to freak out, to motivate them I gave a battle speech
"My brave Goblin kin,
Today, we stand together, outnumbered but undeterred, in the face of a formidable threat. The Direwolves may be many, but we are the warriors of courage and tenacity. Our village, our homes, and our way of life are worth defending, for it is our unity and indomitable spirit that shall shine brighter than the moonlight on this darkest of nights. We may be few, but remember, it only takes a spark to start a blazing fire. Let our determination be that spark, and let the Direwolves bear witness to the unyielding strength of the Goblin heart. For in unity, we shall forge a legend that will be sung through the ages, a tale of bravery, resilience, and our unwavering bond. To arms, my comrades! Let us protect what is ours and write our own epic tonight!
For the village, for our honor, for Goblinkin! "
And the speech is completed, all the nervousness of the Goblins are gone, they all became brave to defend their village and Goblinkin and gave huge war cry.
Aniki is clapping about the speech and said to me via family link 'now who speaks like Veldora?',
'focus on the battle' I said and abruptly ending the family link
And then the wolves came forward, but the numbers didn't match as the village chief said, there are more than hundred approximately two hundred Direwolves.
"Phalanx Force!! Archer Force!! Attack!!!" I commanded
As the wolves are coming forward, the Phalanx force threw the spears aiming at the Direwolves, and the Archers shot the arrows aiming at the Direwolves.
The Direwolves who came forward died by the attack of Spears and Arrows before they even reach the village, the swordsman didn't have chance to fight at all.
As their comrades are getting killed brutally by the spears and arrows, the Direwolves are stepping back, seeing this the Alpha Direwolf, the leader of the pack came forward running avoiding all the Spears and Arrows which shot at him, as he was about reach the village, he was stopped by the Steel Threads with Direwolves blood which were killed before, "That's my skill [Steel Thread]" I said
"Is that your doing?" asked the Alpha Direwolf.
"That's right" me and Aniki said at the same time
"A mere slimes dares to defy me? I will squash both of you!!" said the Alpha Direwolf and tore the Steel Threads with his Teeth and Fangs, and started running towards the village and when he is about to reach the village much nearer and he was stuck by the Sticky Thread and tried to free but unable to free from it
[Water Blade] I shot the water blade and sliced off the head of the Alpha Direwolf, a lot of blood flooded from its neck.
"Father….!!!" We heard two voices coming from the Direwolves
"Hear me Direwolves!! Your leader is dead!!" Said Aniki to the Direwolves
"You have two options.! Submit..!! or Die..!!" I completed it
As the all of the Direwolves are coming forward, I signalled Aniki, he ate the body of the Alpha Direwolf and transformed into the Direwolf
'Jarvis'

And then I also transformed into Direwolf.
By seeing the two Alpha Direwolves standing before them, all the Direwolves shocked and stood there.
And then I spoke "Hear us! We will let you go just this once!!" and I continued "If you refused to yield to us, you will never see tomorrow!!"
And as I said those words me and Aniki used the skill [Menace] at the same time, and howled at the Direwolves, a huge typhoon travelled not only towards the Direwolves, but also at the Goblins who are at the back,
Even then the Direwolves didn't back down, it seems they strugglingly started to come forward
As it didn't work, we increased the power of our howl.
And suddenly the Direwolves bowed down and said "We as one, shall yield to You!!!"
And then the Elder Goblin asked "u-um…d-did we win..?"
"Yeah, Its looks that way" replied Aniki
"Its good there is no need to fight anymore.." I said
"umu..umu…nothing beats peace.." Aniki said acknowledging to it
All the Goblins jumped with Joy…

And so the battle between the Goblins and Direwolves ended remarkably easily….
