Reborn as a SCP

Leo was a surgeon in the foundation who had dedicated his entire life to the foundation, entering their ranks as a surgeon's assistant the moment he was qualified. He had seen everything from agents with minor injuries up to agents who had sustained major trauma to their bodies and had lost body parts, even operatives who were affected by SCP's. However, through thick and thin Leo stayed loyal to the foundation. Eventually, Leo qualified for a level three clearance level, all he had to do was complete a minor operation on an executive agent of the foundation. However, the agent mysteriously died and Leo was found responsible for the death after a trial. Leo lamented everyone as his hate for the foundation grew. "I dedicated my entire fucking life to your cause, I have saved hundreds of your operatives and this is the fucking reward I get!?!" After Leo found out he was scheduled to be tested on an SCP that could cause a horrendous death he rebelled, resulting in him dying. When Leo died, there was only one thought in his head. "Why am I the one who must always suffer? All of this happened due to the corruption of others, I've just been a puppet in the grand scheme of everything, the foundation is a predator, and I was the prey all along. The entire foundation, no, the entire world is corrupt. It should all be purged in order for a new beginning." Suddenly, Leo heard a mysterious and dark voice calling out to him. "Do you truly wish to purge the world? To create a new one?" Leo thought he was going insane for a second but still responded. "Yes, that is truly what I want. But before that, I want to trample those who wronged me in this world!"

Recovery

Leo quickly entered the medical bay and saw Pirate laying on a bed.

Pirate was laying on a bed with an esmarch tourniquet around her leg.

Leo approached Pirate and asked her how she was doing.

"I am doing fine now, the arterial bleeding has stopped and they can remove this tourniquet soon, what about you?"

Leo showed Pirate the stitches on his shoulder.

"Ah, I see. I won't be able to finish this mission with you guys, I will be flown back to England in twelve hours. Crawler will be able to join you on the mission since the bullet did not hit anything vital, and I assume you will also be cleared."

Leo was quite disappointed upon hearing this, but he coped with it.

Leo walked toward Crawler before asking about his condition.

"Well, it is really surprising that I did not get hit in a vital organ. I got shot with .45 hollow point ACP. But I am fine. I will join you later when I get cleared by the doctors, go for now."

Leo didn't say anything and left the medical bay.

For the first time all day, he took the chance to look around.

The camp was in a forest clearing, all tents were white and the snow helped mask them.

It was a beautiful sight.

Leo asked a combative about the current position of Artemis and got pointed to a small tent.

He approached the tent and entered it, the inside of the tent looked like a small room.

"Ah, Leo glad to see you are fine." said Artemis.

"Artemis, we are still on a mission. Don't forget to refer to me by codename." said Leo.

"No need, we are currently in a friendly encampment." responded Artemis.

"Anyways, you have all been given a personal tent and we will move out at 11:00 AM. We should be able to reach our target within two days unless we get ambushed again. Follow me, I will lead you to your tent."

Leo nodded towards Artemis and followed him.

They walked for two minutes until they arrived at a similar tent.

Artemis looked at Leo before speaking once again.

"Some guy named Kraner told me to give you this tent specifically, he didn't want to give any other details and said it was a personal order from Percival."

Leo was surprised upon hearing this, but he quickly knew why.

Everything in this room was the same as the room Artemis was staying in, except that there was a phone in this room.

It looked like on of those antique phones that grandmas would have in their homes.

Artemis quickly left the room and Leo was left alone.

Leo collapsed on the bed and wanted to sleep but he knew he had to stay awake.

There was a reason why there was a phone in the room and Leo knew he would be called sooner or later.

After waiting for two hours the phone finally rang.

When Leo picked up the phone, he was surprised.

He heard the voice of what sounded like a young woman, he expected Percival to call him personally.

"Is this agent Nightmare?" asked the woman.

"Yeah, and who may I be speaking to?" countered Leo.

"I am Iris Darke, the proxy of Percival. I am calling you to inform you that most of your business that concerns Percival will from now on be handled through me. Once you arrive back in London I will contact you about your next mission, it will take too long to explain via the phone and it contains a lot of classified information, just know that I am launching it right now and that I will contact you again when you are back, goodbye."

Leo had a lot of questions, but she had already hung up the phone.

Leo could also not call her back due to the phone being an old model.

He could not help but curse this self-confident woman.

Leo quickly headed to bed since he did not have anything else to do and prepared for tomorrow.

Leo had a good night's sleep for once and woke up at 9:00 AM and had some time to spare.

"Oh, the book is strange, Like clockwork orange."
