An awakening

It's cold, at leas that's all I remember as I felt darkness around me. Hell couldn't even remember who I was.

"Please state what thy desires"

What was that monotone voice and who did it belong to. This was all I could think before a blinding light overwhelmed me and I blurted out "Warmth!"

"Understood desire of warmth verified and accepted. Please do be safe my child" The voice seemed to take a motherly tone.

The darkness soon returned, but the cold had disappeared replaced with a soothing warmth. I am unsure when but eventually I noticed a ryrhmatic thumping. Drums? no it couldnt be.

Letting the rythm lull me into a sleep. Then what seemed to be an instant I feel hands around me nearly covering my body and feel myself pulled into light. All of a sudden there are gasps and murmurings.

Then a male voice spoke, "My queen Elise it's a boy but I don't understand." Wait queen what queen what's going on? I think as I feel myself being wrapped in something an uncomfortable bunching on my back as I'm handed to another person. Opening my eyes I see a beautiful woman with soft blue eyes and golden hair holding me. Yet she seemed scared while filled with love.

She spoke softly, "We will take it as a gift from the gods, say a priest said it was so if my husband asks." One of the women dressed like a maid bows hurrying out of the room as the woman looks back to me. "My beautiful son, I apologize for your future."

The man speaks up, "My queen what shall be his name so we can make the announcement?"

I look at the woman confused and try to speak "My name, I already have a name wait what is it?" the words coming out as a mix of spit and cooing, while I fidget unable to remember anything. Just not realizing I am an infant and have seemed to be in a new world.

Lily, who it seems to be my new mother speaks, "His name is Ember. Prince Ember d' Avalon"
