My First World

Ariana was still very surprised by all of this. How could someone die and become a god? She wondered if there had to be a whole process behind it. Like in the fantasy novels she used to read, where the protagonist became strong enough to be called a god. But since she was here, and that seemed to be the case, she intended to live incredible adventures and not repeat her boring past life. Ariana sighed and looked around. There was nothing, it was dark and empty, with only a few shining points where the horizon stretched out.

"Where should I start?" she thought. It was too much for her, to be thrown into a place and told to create worlds, without even some lessons beforehand. Then, Ariana remembered the System that talked to her just now and said it would provide assistance.

With an angelic voice, she said, "System!" And her voice echoed throughout infinity.

[How can I assist you, Goddess Ariana?]

"So, it really appeared, but it's a little strange to be called a goddess..." thought Ariana.

[You must get used to being called a goddess, Goddess Ariana].

"Are you reading my mind?" exclaimed Ariana, surprised to have her thought answered.

[No, I'm not].

"This one!" thought Ariana.

[No, I'm not].

"SEE, I TOLD YOU THAT YOU WERE!" shouted Ariana.

[Hmph, okay, let's get to the point, as the system, I will assist you in everything you need to know. Of course, there will be limitations, but the more worlds you have and the more powerful you are, the fewer limitations I will have.]

"More powerful? I'm not a goddess? Is there someone more powerful than me?" asked Ariana, curious. After all, she realized that she still had no power. At first, she tried to imagine a mirror to see her own appearance, but nothing happened.

[You're not the only goddess in this universe, there are several others, as powerful as you] - said the System. [You will have a System interface that will appear when you think, and there will be the information you need].

With a thought, an interface that looked very much like a game appeared for Ariana.

Ariana was confused by the system in front of her.

[You must be confused, so let me explain it to you. This is the system that will be with you throughout your existence as a Goddess. You will use it to create your worlds. There is little information in the system now, but as you begin, you will unlock more.]

Ariana paid attention to the system's explanation like a curious child.

[Continuing, you see that your rank is Beginner Goddess. This means you have just started, but as you become stronger and have more worlds, your rank will naturally increase, and then you will have access to better things,] said the system. [Do you remember Mars, the neighbor planet of your old planet? It was a failed attempt by a younger god to create a world. In the beginning, it was full of water and rich in fauna and flora, but now it's just a big red rock wandering through space.]

"Does that mean my old planet was also a world created by one of those gods?" Ariana asked.

[Of course, everything and every form of life in this universe was created by someone. Some went more wrong than right.]

"Ooooh," Ariana exclaimed, surprised.

They pray to you in exchange for protection and prosperity, some in search of revenge and death. Of course, it's up to you to choose which request to accept] - said the system. [But that's not all. The number of Faithful has other functions that I will introduce in the future.]

"I understand. But in my world, there were several gods," Ariana said. When she was younger, she always wondered why there were so many gods.

[The influence of a God is not limited only to his world. If he is strong enough, he can invade other Gods' worlds] - explained the system.

"And what would creation points be?" Ariana asked.

[That's what determines your creations. You can create something that uses a maximum of 100 creation points. Of course, in the future, you will get more and be able to improve your creations, but that depends on you.]

"I understand. So, I have 100 creation points to use," Ariana said, thinking about the possibilities.

[Yes, exactly. And finally, the title is something you can earn through your achievements as a Goddess. For example, if you create a prosperous and full-of-life world, you may receive the title of Goddess of Life. But that is something you must earn for yourself] - explained the System.

"Now I understand everything, thank you for explaining it to me," thanked Ariana.

[I will always be here to help you, Ariana. And now, what do you want to do? You can start creating your own world] - suggested the System.

Ariana was thrilled with the idea of starting to create her own world.

"How should I do that?" asked Ariana.

[First, let's give you your basic Goddess powers, which you can improve as you become stronger.]

Ariana felt an enormous flood of power overflowing in her body, her eyes shone with pure white, the whole universe around her took notice.

Comments began to appear everywhere.

"It has been millions of years since the birth of the last God, who will it be this time?" wondered one.

"Oh my, how interesting," murmured another.

And many other comments appeared throughout the universe.

[Very well, Ariana, now you have your basic Goddess powers. I must warn you, the moment you create your first world, it will be like your heart, if it is destroyed, you will cease to exist. If you have more than one world, and one is destroyed, the other will become your heart, until none are left] - warned the System. [But don't worry, the other Gods cannot destroy each other's worlds, but it doesn't mean their followers cannot].

"What? You drop a bomb like that on me at the end and just leave!" exclaimed Ariana, frightened.

After the System's warning, Ariana became more apprehensive. She decided to be peaceful and not cause trouble with any other Goddesses.

And then, with a simple movement of her hand, a giant mirror appeared in front of her.

That was when she saw it: her appearance was almost the same as in her past life, but there wasn't a single imperfection, she was literally what they would call a Goddess.

She had the young appearance of a sixteen-year-old girl.

Her beauty would make all other Goddesses die of envy.

"I... I... I'm so beautiful," said Ariana, as she struck several poses in front of the mirror. With a snap of her fingers, Ariana made the mirror disappear. "Haha, I'm getting good at this," she said.

"Great, let's get started," said Ariana, ready to bring her new world to life. "System," she shouted.

The interface and the System appeared once again for her.

[Do you wish to begin creating your world?]

"Yes," replied Ariana.

[Alright, let me explain to you. Firstly, you must press the [Shopping Interface] button. Then, the options will appear for you. Look carefully, all your decisions now will have consequences in the future] - explained the System.

Ariana pressed the [Shopping Interface] button, and then a new window with several options appeared in front of her.

Ariana was thrilled with the variety of things she could buy with her creation points. "I should buy my world... but I only have 100 creation points, I hope it's enough," thought Ariana.

Ariana then decided and bought a small world. Suddenly, a huge mass of energy started to go to a single point. When a massive explosion occurred, in its place, a large rocky sphere appeared.

Ariana's eyes shone with witnessing something so fantastic. She was tiny in comparison to the planet, so she decided to increase its size. With a thought, she now held the planet in the palm of her hand.

[Well done, great choice, a small world. It's always good to play it safe] -  said the System.

"I became bigger, so I can see the planet better," said Ariana, realizing that the people in her world could see her and become scared.

[Don't worry, no one can see you unless you want them to] - explained the System.

Ariana was relieved to hear this and returned to focusing on her creation.

Ariana scanned her eyes across the entire planet until she realized that it was just a giant rock, there was nothing there. She reduced her size and stepped onto the planet's surface.

As she gazed up at the sky, she felt the grandeur of the universe, which had previously seemed to be in her hands, but now she was immersed in its vastness. It was a new beginning.

She closed her eyes as a tear rolled down her face, and the tear then fell towards the planet.

And when it touched the surface, a small and insignificant tear flooded the entire planet. No longer a rocky sphere, but a planet completely covered by water.

She walked on the surface of the ocean, her long green hair floating.

"Let there be life!" exclaimed Ariana with all her being.

But nothing happened.

[The planet is entirely composed of water and rock, it is impossible to create life in this world]

"Haha, that's right, isn't it?" Ariana said, realizing her mistake. She went to the [Purchase Interface] and bought Fertile Soil. Her planet trembled as the continents were molded.

Sometimes Ariana took the lead and changed a little here and there, giving some shapes she liked.

And then, now, with a wave of her hand, the planet was flooded with trees, bushes and plants.

"Just this many plants? I expected much more variety," she thought.

[Due to your limitations, you cannot create many living beings without the aid of the System. This fauna and flora are only for the beginning of your planet, things may not stay that way forever] - warned the System.

Now the view was of a green and lush planet, resembling Earth.

She walked barefoot on the grass, breathed the pure air that the planet exhaled.

"It feels like I'm back home," she said.

Taking her feet off the ground, she flew back to the void.

[Perfect, now we just need a few more things and you can start giving birth to life] -  said the System. [Don't worry, the System will take care of these things]

[Loading...]

[First, the Sun. We need a source of light for the planet and a source of food for the plants].

At the moment the system said this, a huge mass of energy appeared and suddenly a star began to be generated. It gradually increased in size.

[Perfect, now for sea level control, let's create the Moon, to guide lost people and illuminate the planet at night].

Rocks began to emerge and merge together, as if forming a large sphere.

[With that, we have completed all creation procedures. Now, I wish you good luck, Goddess Ariana. If you have any questions, you can call me. I will be at your disposal] - said the System as it said goodbye.

Ariana thought for a moment and decided, "The name will be Arcadia!" she exclaimed.

[Congratulations on your first world: Arcadia!].

Ariana smiled as she looked around her creation. "Now it really seems like a good world to live in," she thought.
