Chapter 16 Inviting Her

The noisy classroom suddenly quieted down.

"There's not much time left, so let's end the lesson here. I have an announcement for everyone today. In a month, the school will hold a performance, and the leaders and board members will attend it. The principal has asked each class to select some students for the cultural performance. Monitor, start summarizing it today and give me the list tomorrow morning," she instructed.

"Got it, professor," Elsa said softly.

Callie couldn't find her book, so she sat in the classroom without taking anything out. She just sat there, spacing out for an entire class period.

As soon as class ended, Callie was called out by the teacher.

Elsa wanted to talk to her, but before she could, Callie was gone.

"She hasn't been to class in a year, the professor must have a lot to say to her."
