Chapter 1 Framed

"Callie, this is your child with Dane Cooper. I specifically had the doctors take it out to make a keepsake for you. You're so foolish; you were three months pregnant. How could you insisted on leaving home in a fit of pique."

In the white hospital room, a woman dressed in a white Chanel gown approached the bed, holding a transparent glass bottle and shaking it with a twisted smile.

Callie Bryan stared at the tiny embryo in the glass bottle and screamed madly.

"Annoying!" Elsa Bryan slapped her, and the already weak Callie's cheek swelled up at an alarming rate.

Elsa shook her numb hand.

"By the way, I’ll have the my engagement party with Alex tomorrow. You won't be able to attend since you lost both of your legs, so we've specially invited the media to broadcast it live. Remember to watch, my sister!" she laughed smugly.

"There are a bunch of reporters waiting outside to interview you." Elsa walked to the window, saw the reporters gathered downstairs, then looked back at the once-admired woman who was now in a miserable state, her expression becoming even more triumphant, "The doctor just said that you may never be able to stand again in your life. Dad said that from now on, the Bryan family can only rely on me, as well as the Coopers' fortune. Thanks for your help, little sister. Even though you lost your legs, it's worth it for the family's gain. And by the way, I'm the one who hired the killman who killed Dane Cooper."

"How does it feel? Surprised? That man only liked you, even though I'm so much better than you. Why did he only see you? Now he's dead, he’s dead, haha! Many people downstairs want to interview you about your experience..."

"Give it back to me, my child, give it back to me!" Callie's eyes were bloodshot as she stared at the glass bottle in Elsa's hand, trembling with hatred. Those people had already told her who was behind it all, but she never expected that her trusted sister would be so cruel.

Thinking of the man lying in a pool of blood, her heart seemed to split open, causing her unbearable pain.

Now, their only child was gone too...

"Give it to you?" Elsa shook the formalin-filled glass bottle, looking at the unformed baby inside with a malicious smile.

"Come on, come here, and I'll give it to you. Otherwise..." She opened the window, pretending to throw the glass bottle out.

Callie bit her lip as she propped herself up on her hands, her vision blurred by tears, but she kept her eyes fixed on the glass bottle.

That was her child, whom she had imagined being born, calling her "mommy." But now, everything was gone.

"Huh, Callie, hurry up, come closer."

Watching Callie fall from the bed and still struggle to crawl towards her, Elsa's satisfaction grew deeper.

"Give it back to me!" Callie crawled to Elsa's feet, her trembling hands clutching Elsa's skirt as she slowly rose, "Give it back to me!"

"Oh dear, you dirtied my skirt." Annoyed, Elsa threw the bottle out the window.

"My child!" Callie's pupils constricted. Her gaze filled with venom as she lunged toward Elsa, screaming madly, "Give me back my child!!!"

Elsa grabbed her hand, flung her away, and Callie's powerless body slammed into the window.
