Rebirth with the Rinnegan(Naruto Fanfiction)

Choosing to be reborn into the world of Naruto, a young man sets out on a journey for peace in his own way. Expect my take on a realistic depiction of this world with blood and all, NO HAREM. This isn't my main story just a side project I'm doing to relax so be aware of that. I don't own the Naruto brand/series or the cover art, if you own either and want this story/cover removed just speak up and it will be done.

CHAPTER START---

High above the clouds, Jin flies through the air under his own power.

His legs transformed using the Asura path into something akin to jet engines.

The cold night air blasts against his face as he patrols the edge of Negi island.

"Ah, there you are..." his fine chakra sense picks up two dozen chunin nearby. A small temple rests atop a cliff on the shore.

Rocky landscape stretching far out before becoming snow and ice further inland.

Gracelessly he flies downward, with no hesitation he hardens his fists with organic metal inside, punching through the roof of the temple into the gathering.

"Ahh, everyone on guard!" One of the men shouts as Jin lands in the middle of the room, a small crater around his feet.

Looking around the room, two dozen men in winter gear, faces covered and traces of snow on some, Jin doesn't see any form of ID on them, no headbands or real uniform.

"Hmm, I'm here for that," he points at the golden staff with diamonds protruding from it.

The man holding it only lifts his Kunai in response.

"Who the hell are you?" One of the men asks, his name of no consequence, Jin doesn't care.

With a simple gesture, he raises his hand as if reaching out for the item.

'Universal Pull'

The man holding it is dragged along with the staff as it's pulled toward Jin. As the man and staff close in, he raises his kunai and points it toward Jin as his allies rush in to help.

In an instant, Jin's hand pierces the man's skull, up to his forearm in the man's thoughts, as gasps of horror echo through the room.

"You-"

'Almighty push!'

Without another word, Jin grabs onto the staff before it can even hit the floor.

A wave of forces crashes through the entire building, instantly killing everyone but himself. Pieces of stone and mortar scatter about, some falling into the ocean below the cliff and some staying on the land.

"Jeez, guess I've got another day for the beach..."

It had only taken Jin one day to find this place, earlier this morning he left the beach on the shores of the land of fire. After two days of lounging on the shore and he was still already done.

Walking to the edge of the cliff, Jin eyes the docks below.

"Hmm, faint chakra, barely-there..." he muses while jumping down the hundred-foot cliff.

Landing deftly a few feet from the dock, he sees a run-down small fishing ship, with no hesitation he casually walks up, kicking the door to the lower storage area open, and walks in.

The scent of fish and salt immediately assaults him, he can almost taste it in the air.

A faint whimpering sound reaches his ears, as if someone was crying.

Following it, he eventually reaches the end of the storage area, rounding the crates a Kunai is immediately thrown at his face.

His hand reflexively catches it between his fingers, ready to toss it back, but he freezes.

A young boy barely looking 12 holds a girl in his arms almost half his age.

His hand over her mouth to prevent her from making noise, presumably to better hide from Jin.

"I assume you're a genin, your chakra is pathetic..." Jin says in a bored tone, ignoring them as he looks around a bit before looking back at the children.

"I-I," the boy can barely form words before he draws another Kunai, desperate to protect the girl at his side.

"Were your parents on the cliff up there?"

The boy barely nods, the blade in his hand shaking, he's terrified.

"Can you get back to your village?" Jin reaches into his pouch and withdraws a small scroll.

"Y-yes..."

"Mhm, good, your parents are dead, I killed them," his words are without emotion as he looks at both the children.

The girl immediately begins crying, the boy has tears in his eyes as he holds a hand over her mouth, keeping her quiet.

"They were training you to fight too, that's why you're the only other people here right?"

The boy can't even nod in response, still processing what Jin said before.

"Can you get home?"

No response again.

"Hey, can you get home!" Jin's voice is harsher this time.

"YES!" the boy yells fearfully in response.

"Here, this should have everything you need and money, retire from this life, it doesn't suit children..." Jin tosses him the small scroll before casually walking away.

The blood of the children's father still unknowingly on his arm.

"Back to vacation..."
