6 Lord Scenario Quest (3)

The Hobgoblin, not giving Sam time then rushes towards him with his large wooden club.

Sam who saw the attack quickly rolled out of the way and stared at the defenseless arm before him.

Seeing it as an opportunity, he quickly stabs the Hobgoblin's arm leaving a large cut.

"GAH! That… that tickled Human! DIE!"

Holding his arm with his hand covering the wound, he quickly grabbed his club and swung it again, this time in a slash.

Sam with his shield used the skill: PARRY to defend against slash, and it pushed him back a few step but it did not damage him.

The Hobgoblin however, was stunned by the parry and had its club thrown out of his hand and to the ground next to him.

With the Hobgoblin now stunned, Sam quickly rushed towards his foot and used SHIELD SLAM to damage it, causing the Hobgoblin to go on one knee.

With a slash of his sword, he then cuts the Hobgoblin's knee which causes him to drop to the ground in pain.

"Any last words?"

"YOU… STUPID HUMAN! I WILL KIL-"

SHIELD SLAM!

SPLAT!

With multiple shield slam to the face, the Hobgoblin who was about to stand up and fight back was now just a pancake on the floor, with his face so destroyed that Sam couldn't look head on, despite seeing scenes like this in the past.

He stands up, covered in Hobgoblin blood and checks with the system which he muted before the fight.

[[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION: You have leveled up!]]

Sam nods his head, he reached Level 8 before he founded his settlement, which gives him a massive edge on minor events that will appear in the future.

He turned around and quickly untied the villagers who were on the ground, in shock of what just transpired.

Sam just killed the Hobgoblin with ease, which was something only Knights could do in this realm.

"You are my hero!"

"You saved us!"

All the villagers begin hugging Sam, despite him being covered in Hobgoblin blood, but it made him feel better about himself. He never done this quest before, nor had experience in leading a band of normal people and protecting their lives while as a lord, and so situations like this makes his affirmation to become a Lord even bigger. He wants people to thank him for making their lives better.

Slowly, Sam then took the villagers who were tired back to the cave entrance and with the help of his men back to the village which was an hours journey.

Many of the kidnapped villagers were malnourished, some on the verge of dying, but when they returned to the village, many of the people there began nursing them back to good health.

The village elder, seeing his granddaughter with Sam smiled and hugged her while crying.

"Thank you… thank you commander! You saved my family, and no-one that was kidnapped was hurt! You truly are an angel!"

"I am no angel elder, I am just a man who is tasked to help you, that is all!"

The village elder nods his head and gives him his reward for the task, which Sam refused on the basis that he gets paid when he returns.

"You are a hero! A hero of this town! Let this day be known as Sam's Day!"

Sam who was embarrassed walked away with his hand on his head.

'Gold bars?'

Sam was pleasantly surprised that he got gold bars, as gold bars are the one thing that he can take back to reality and exchange for real money. It wasn't traceable, and many gold shops in the future would pay a high price for a gold bar from the other world.

It was especially amazing now that Sam had no money on hand, and this will allow him to find a better place to rest when he returns back to Earth. He didn't wish to contact his parents at all, since his younger half brother had already started his plan to take over the business, he didn't want to be involved in that bullcrap. His father chose the half brother that would destroy his business in the future, so Sam believes that he should sleep in the coffin he had built. His mother on the other hand is someone Sam will help out when he gets the chance to meet her in the future, as she is right now with her family in another district, and doesn't know what Sam's father had done to him.

The resource pack is also a huge reward, as starting a settlement requires a lot of materials to begin production to make even more resources, and this pack would speed up much of that process.

Growth Accelerator is something that was the best reward of them all, as farms would be growing in real time, meaning that he would struggle in producing food unless he found a trade route if he didn't have this special fertilizer. But now, he can grow his crops in a month, and in the future it would be much more faster to grow products. This makes his future settlement extremely profitable, and many other villages would want to be with Sam due to his food source.

"What are we going to do now Commander!"

"Return home of course!"

Sam jumped on his horse and whistled to his men behind him, and began marching towards the town.

"Take me back!" Sam said.

There was a white flash, similar to how he got to the scenario and soon he disappeared from where he was before and began his journey to form his settlement!
