3 Creating Character!

What is this other world?

Sam never knew that it wasn't a game, nor did Earth treat it like a game. But this mysterious SYSTEM is something every human from Earth would gain when they gain access to the other world.

It almost felt like he was playing an MMORPG, but this world is as real as it come, as death meant death.

In the future, when Earth discovers this portal and realizes its potential, the United Earth government contacts all the major families in the entire world and tells them to begin sending in their people to start gaining a foothold in the other world, with the idea being that Earth would eventually take over that world and gain all the resources produced in it.

The other families did what they could, and many formed their kingdoms. For those who were ordinary adventurers, we had to treat these families like our overlords, and they reaped all the benefits while they can.

They had also destroyed all the other existing kingdoms. Empires were toppled, and hundreds of nobles were slain by the System-powered rich kids who formed their kingdoms from the ashes of the past.

When Earth and the other planet mysteriously collided, causing Earth to be destroyed and humanity to be teleported to the other world, the families that dominated the world officially became their rulers.

Some kingdoms were peaceful, while others weren't so. With great power comes great hunger, and these families didn't want to give up their power to no government, especially since this was now their real home.

This even included the newly made Daniels-Antonio family, which his step 'brother' and ex-fiancee had formed and gained immense power from toppling the former richest family in the world, the Yong family.

He had heard tales of Evelyn being abused by Joseph, but he didn't know if it was real or not nor did he care.

Wars began to prop up due to the power-hungry families wanting more territory, and Sam joined many of the skirmishes as a mercenary. He returned home as a war veteran, and he gained more jobs due to that reputation.

In the end, he gained a job that would allow him to gain immense wealth if done correctly, which he did do.

But Nick, his partner, needed it for his family.

Thus, Sam returns to the past.

Sam didn't wish to have his last name on his character, as he didn't want to be affiliated with Yong's family when Earth begins to send the rich families into the world to gain a foothold.

Sam chose Warrior as he was one in the past, and he was most familiar with everything about it. From what weapon to use, what skills are necessary, and even the prerequisite to evolving it into a different variation of warrior which would boost his combat skills even further.

"Lord!"

What is a Lord? When you start as an adventurer, it is much more of a sandbox experience with you being dropped into a random city and you are given tools to make a life for yourself by yourself.

A lord however is someone who starts his settlement as a village, and their goal is to make their village go from village to town, to city, and then to a kingdom. Kingdom wasn't the last rank, but it was the only rank Sam had seen in the future.

But Sam planned to take it even further, could he become whatever is passed Kingdom? However, it would be a difficult role despite him having such a head start.

When the portal is discovered by the other families, they will start dropping in a bunch of people to start villages, and they will gain resources from Earth to the other world instantly and build their settlement up much faster than Sam could ever do.

Sam knew that it would be a struggle to even reach Kingdom without having to fight the other families, so he must begin culminating his power first.

The starting skills were amazing, with high strength, he could wield many different weapons that have strength scaling with extreme ease. The most surprising thing he has seen however is that his charisma stat is maxed out! He never had it maxed in the past, and he didn't care as his goal was to focus on combat skills related to warriors, but for a Lord having charisma could allow him to gain benefits in different types of lord-related activities, from diplomacy to trade.

This made Sam warier about what he might experience even before he could form his settlement. He has heard only a few tales of what it is like to start as a Lord, with that period being the hardest of them all. Even before forming your settlement, you must complete a scenario quest to gain rewards that would better your settlement, and if you fail that quest you are no longer a Lord.

"Accept the quest!" Sam nodded his head, he expected this to come. His goal wasn't only to complete the quest, but also 100% it allowing him to gain the best reward worthy of his status as the first lord to settle from Earth. He doesn't know what to expect from the reward, but he knows he needs it.
