Before Zed could even think about launching the first attack, Mundo's power had already arrived. Or rather, his shadow had arrived first.
A shadow, like a dark, spectral beast with six arms, darted across the ground. Zed had assumed that without a shadow of his own, he would be immune to the shadowy foe's attack. But he quickly found out that this presumption only served to heighten his difficulty in predicting the attacks, not to lessen the threat they posed.
The arm bearing the sword arrived first.
"Die!"
A war-cry shattered the silent night, roaring like a war horn intent on setting the twilight sky ablaze.
The murderous intent emanating from the shadow's eyes seemed like it wanted to drill a hole right through Zed, rooting him to the spot.
