13 Jiang Yanxu wasn't an Easy Monster to Tame

Tang Shiliu patted Ye Xinxin's back, feeling so concerned. He tried to calm the boy down by words, "Okay, now, it's okay. You better have breakfast first. I promise I'll help you."

Ye Xinxin let go of his embrace and nodded his head obediently.

Ye Xinxin basically wasn't hungry. After making love with Jiang Yanxu and ending in a dispute, Ye Xinxin didn't feel hungry other than a lingering frustration which made him feel like he was the only suffering person in this world. Plus, it was the first time Jiang Yanxu had treated him so badly, making him feel so depressed.

Jiang Yanxu's change was so sudden, leaving Ye Xinxin confused and unable to make up his mind to find the point of their trouble. Moreover, Ye Xinxin felt so hurt as if someone had just slashed his heart with the tip of a dagger.

Who didn't get hurt when their partner acted indifferent for no reason? The answer was no one. They all would ask the same question: what's wrong?!

However, such loving words of his mother-in-law were something that Ye Xinxin couldn't just ignore, so he immediately stood up to pick up some of the menus that were neatly lined up on the table.

After knowing that Tang Shiliu intended to help him, Ye Xinxin gradually felt better.

While Tang Shiliu sat on the dining chair. As soon as Ye Xinxin went to take his breakfast, the woman's soft face gradually stiffened. A cold aura immediately flashed through her eyes as irritation grew in her heart as she thought about how Jiang Yanxu had treated Ye Xinxin once both of them had just gotten married.

As a mother-in-law who loved her beloved son-in-law, Tang Shiliu definitely couldn't tolerate her stepson's acts.

Tang Shiliu wondered why Jiang Yanxu could treat Ye Xinxin like that? Wasn't Jiang Yanxu the one who asked to speed up their wedding date? Jiang Yanxu had even said that anyone who dared to hurt Ye Xinxin wouldn't get any mercy from him, then why would Jiang Yanxu hurt Ye Xinxin now?

Tang Shiliu also clearly remembered how angry Jiang Yanxu was when Yan An mentioned Ye Xinxin in front of him. When she compared to Ye Xinxin's confession just now, it sounded far-fetched, considering how crazy the man was for Ye Xinxin.

As long as Ye Xinxin was with Jiang Yanxu before they got married, the woman had never seen Ye Xinxin depressed like that. Still, after both of them got married — even it was only a week after their wedding day — Ye Xinxin looked so frustrated.

Tang Shiliu thought about it so many times, and the more she thought about it, the more absurd it sounded.

However, if what Ye Xinxin told her was true, then she wouldn't hesitate to teach Jiang Yanxu a lesson no matter what.

Tang Shiliu knew that it wouldn't be easy for her, so she shouldn't act rashly to take the step. Every plan she had to think carefully and carefully as the man she was about to face was quite dangerous.

[1]Lao Tzu once said in a book he had written: "Nature is never in a hurry, but everything is accomplished". Therefore, Tang Shiliu needed to be more patient and find out the truth first before deciding to step up, thus she could subdue a monster in the Jiang Family.

After all, ever since Tang Shiliu married Jiang Hanxu, Jiang Yanxu had been displeased with the woman's presence in the Jiang Family indeed. It was clear from Jiang Yanxu's cold and apathetic attitude towards the woman as well as her son. Even today, people could count when Jiang Yanxu had talked to his stepmother after four years.

Likewise with Tang Shiliu. The woman thought that Jiang Yanxu was too arbitrary, so she wasn't pleased with the man's attitude. Even though Tang Shiliu had the same power as Huang Yuqi, Jiang Yanxu, as the head of the Jiang Family, facilitated the woman with great limitations after her husband died, so that she couldn't freely exercise her power as a "Big Lady".

However, as Jiang Yanxu was an influential and domineering person, it wasn't easy for Tang Shiliu to subdue the man.

Jiang Yanxu wasn't much different from his father who had leadership in his blood. Plus, Jiang Yanxu controlled 70% of the Jiang Family's shares, many people bowed to him as the new leader of the Jiang Family after his father's death. So, even if Tang Shiliu was Jiang Yanxu's stepmother, still, it wouldn't be easy for the woman to tame Jiang Yanxu. The only effective way was to take his heart.

Unfortunately, four years had passed, but the woman hadn't been able to tame the man.

*

Jiang Yanxu stood at the stern of the ship. By the look on his face, there wasn't a single pleasant thing that he could keep in his heart, revealing how wrath was bubbling up inside him.

The view of the sea in the morning was soothing. Yet, with the anger he was bearing, everything looked awful in his eyes.

People might think that he was enjoying the atmosphere, but they didn't know how the hatred within him seemed to make his blood boil.

Fortunately, Jiang Yanxu had faced various problems in business, so he could control himself in dealing with the problems in his current marriage.

Clenching his fists tightly, Jiang Yanxu could still feel the ache on his face as if Ye Xinxin's palm was left on his skin.

Jiang Yanxu had struggled to act normal, but the misery in his past life had made Jiang Yanxu forget how he used to be, even forget how he spoiled Ye Xinxin back then.

After all, spending ten years in prison had drained most of the good memories between him and Ye Xinxin in the past. All that remained were vague memories in his head that Jiang Yanxu seemed to be forced to live his past life, then fought for everything from the start.

Unexpectedly, a man walked up towards him, then patted him on the back.

"Boss Jiang, what are you doing here?" the person asked with a gentle yet elegant smile.

Jiang Yanxu looked back and found it was Wen Huiyi. Jiang Yanxu stared at the man for a while and suddenly an immense regret filled his heart.

Frowning, Wen Huiyi asked in surprise, "Brother, what's wrong? Your mood looks really bad this morning."

Jiang Yanxu didn't respond. He turned his eyes again to the sea that stretched before him, as indifferent as he always was. No one would be surprised by the man's apathy as if people remembered it as a hallmark of President Jiang. They all understood and got used to it, so they didn't have to question anything.
