Aslan walked over to the kitchen counter and opened the wooden cabinet under the buffet and took out a small box. It seemed she didn't find the box when she checked the kitchen yesterday and this morning. 

Aslan opened it, and a large pile of gold coins was inside.

"We can fulfill our needs for the next few years without working," he said.

Rosie's mouth opened in astonishment. They could even build a castle with that money, but after that they would search for food in the trash because they were too broke. Rosie then closed the box again.

"We're going to keep it as emergency money. It's better if we just work for daily necessities."

"I also plan to do that," Aslan said, making Rosie exclaim happily because at least they could buy urgent needs now without Aslan having to find a job right away.
