53 Chapter 53: Girlfriend or just a lover

Elizabeth shook her head with a smile. This man was about to take over the company, so he had to fight for a share. To work with this man, she has to prove herself.

He doesn't have any competitor in particular but has to be acknowledged for his ability before he takes the CEO position. She knows well what he needed now most. A smile appeared on Elizabeth's face as she looked at Elijah with her curved gaze.

Elijah felt as though he was about to be immersed in such a beautiful gaze.

"Mr. Miller might not know me, but I've heard about you a lot before. I didn't expect to meet you here." Elizabeth said with a smile.

Besides her, Natalie was confused with their conversation.

"Oh? Is that so? I didn't expect you to have heard about me, that's a very coincidental thing. Can you tell me where did you hear it from? " It was rare to see anyone hearing about him.

It was only then that Elizabeth realized that she was reborn and in her previous life, she had met him at his inheritance ceremony. His name was famous and her father prefers him as an eligible candidate for her marriage, but she refused him without giving any face. She couldn't possibly tell him about the situation.

With an awkward expression, she scratched her forehead. "That's right, it's just I forgot the person who mentioned it. Oh right, Mr. Miller, I didn't expect you to appear at University. How about this, I'll treat you to a meal."

Natalie: "....." Who is this person? Why is Elizabeth treating him so warmly and offered a meal too? If the brother knows...

Elijah raised his head and glanced at Natalie who was standing beside him. This lady is shooting daggers with her eyes having an intent to swallow him. Is she worried that he would eat her friend?.

Elijah tactfully declined. "I'm very happy that this student can recognize me and invited me. However, I still have some matters to attend to later. Please forgive me for my impoliteness."

"Aye..! don't be like this senior. I am your junior, just call Eliza," Elizabeth looked as though they were natural acquaintances for many years.

Elijah glanced at Natalie by the side. He suppressed the smile on his face. "Uh! that's not too good. After all, the two of us have only just met. Calling you by your nickname is indeed somewhat impolite."

Elizabeth gave a blossomed smile, "Mr. Miller, there's no need to be so polite. I know it's a short time we have met and didn't known much, but I believe that in the remaining time, we will have a good chat."

"I know you are here for your development after gaining much experience. I also want to leave my trace in the city. Let's sit down and talk about it."

Natalie was stunned by what was Eliza talking about. Company? Would she get cheated? Or did she have any feelings for this man? Is she attracted by his evil face?

Natalie didn't feel right. "Eliza don't....." Natalie wanted to remind Eliza not to fall for any honey trap. She is still naive and didn't understand the world.

When Elizabeth heard Natalie's voice she turned around and said, "Nattie, you should go back first. I have matters to discuss with Mr. Miller."

"Also don't tell anyone about this meeting. Okay!"

Elizabeth narrowed her eyes and said in a serious tone.

Natalie slapped her forehead. This was simply a threat. But she can't deny her best friend's words. Only after making sure that everything will be fine does she dare to leave.

"Eliza, if he tries to harm you contact me. Brother Aldrin will never leave anyone who has bad intentions towards you." Natalie said to Elizabeth loudly as a hidden warning to Elijah.

Elizabeth knew what Natalie was thinking and shook her head helplessly. She will always be a naive girl in eyes of Natalie. She smiled reassuringly and waved to her.

Elijah had heard the name Aldrin once he was abroad. Is the person the same he is thinking? What was the relationship between this woman and Aldrin? As far as he knew, Aldrin isn't married.

Could this woman be Aldrin's girlfriend or just a lover? This was truly interesting. He never thought that he would encounter such an interesting thing upon returning to university.

However, he didn't have any impression of this woman at all. Or perhaps he had met her before and forgotten where he had seen her before.

However, Elijah was also very curious. This woman wanted to talk about cooperation with him. He didn't tell anyone about his plan even so his identity is well hidden, so how did this woman know about all this?
