Chapter 31: Jennifer Smith

~~Same time at Old Smith Mansion~~

Harris received the call from elders to report at Old Smith Mansion as fast as he could. When he reaches there he notices Amy Green sitting with elders along with Lilly Johnson.

"WHO THE HELL IS SHE?"

"I have told you once stop repeating the same question, Lilly..!" Amy said annoyingly. Lilly had left early yesterday due to the father and son pair so she decided to visit the Green to hear about Elizabeth from Amy, but she never expected someone almost harmed Elizabeth and for most, that girl is Elizabeth's friend.

"Yes, that girl herself confessed that she was the one in front of us. You can also check the trending topic it's not clear but you will figure it out." Brenda and Oliver came downstairs after all of them arrived.

Amy and Harris were confused that why the elder asked them to meet them here. While Amy was ordered to come here she invited Lilly too as she asked before to inform her about the banquet.

The elder just said it's related to their granddaughter nothing else to them.

"That cheap thing..... Amy why don't you do something to her..!" Lilly said angrily to Amy. Amy just sighs at her statement.

Lilly is right. She could punish her according to her rules but Elizabeth requested her to not interfere in this matter for the time being.

"I will take action but not now...," Amy said plainly to Lilly. She doesn't know what to say to her or how to explain it to her.

Elizabeth and she have been recently reconciled and she didn't want any misunderstanding between them. But as her sister's entrusted person she also wants Elizabeth to be happy and prevent her from any harm.

Ever since Jennifer's death, Elizabeth was used to be close to her but after high school, everything change and she just interact a few days back again.

The only person who is close to her during this time is Lucy. Even though she knows something is wrong with Lucy, she let her be for the time being because without her Elizabeth will have no one and become alone.

Harris also remained quite and tactfully agreed to Amy. He also thinks the same.

"So, you both are not gonna do something regard to this?" the elders spoke. They are not satisfied with their Son and Amy doing nothing.

They should castigate Lucy bitterly for her scheming. Amy should use her connection, or instead, Harris can use Lucy's family dark secret to block her permanently.

Harris deals with the black market whereas Amy deals with the underground world. They have been in a cooperative business.

The elders know what kind of background did Jennifer and Amy have before Jennifer married to Harris. Jennifer was a famous gang leader in the underworld in her days before marriage. Even though they don't have much elite background, she was perfect for their son, who is working with a dark side.

Jennifer also stably handles her family inheritance previously which is now in Amy's hand.

Jennifer and Harris have a blissful married life. Jennifer didn't let go of her gang just suspend some activities. She supports them grows silently. Amy also grows her gang under the guidance of her sister but she lacks connection in comparison with her sister.

"Yeah, Harris are you going to just let it be?" Lilly knows about Smith's family's dark side and is familiar with Jennifer in the past also know about her venture in the past. Harris had been her close friend which led her close to Jennifer as well. That is why she is confused about why these two aren't doing anything about the matter which concerns Elizabeth's safety. Amy didn't lack behind Jennifer now.

Her husband as well as son has their forces. Back then their gang had worked together to shut many other pests outside. She was fully aware of that.

"Did we say we aren't going to do anything about it...!" both Amy and Harris replied consecutively. There was a coldness in their words. This coldness is which they only show they were going to slay the soul without showing any pity.

Both Harris and Amy was not someone you can easily mess with.

"So, what are your plans?" the elders were curious and looking forward to their strategies.

"Nothing much for the time being. Only gonna be a secret sponsor to increase Lucy's popularity...!" Harris said.

Except for Amy, the other people were utterly shocked by what Harris said just now. Harris will sponsor that w*nch. That's gonna advantage Lucy not damage her in any way.

"What the f....." Lilly stopped halfway through her words. She was going to curse Harris. 'What the hell wrong with his brain, did he lose any screw. If yes, please tight that screw of his..!'

Amy giggled looking at Lilly and the elders' expression. The elders and Lilly were more puzzled now, "You all know that's not his whole plan?"

The elders and Lilly frowned at Amy's statement and ask cautiously, "so, what's the whole plan?"

"Not only Harris but I am also gonna sponsor Lucy so that her popularity reaches a peak in this meantime, and then guess?" Amy held a suspense squeezer. They were curious after Amy's statement.

"Amy don't go round the boat and just state the fact. I don't have ample patients..!" Lilly is getting annoyed by both of them now.

'Is one foolish person not enough that Amy is also joining him..!'
