2 Chapter 1: Reconnected

BEEEP! BEEEEP!

A car horn sounded out as an angry voice bellowed out at the obstruction in its path.

"What's happening here?"

"That young girl was pushed out onto the road by those other girls in that group over there."

The passerby spoke loudly drawing attention to the group of school girls on the foot path.

"How horrible!"

One of the girls in the group spun around and with an arrogant look and shouted back,

"Why don't you all just mind you're own damn business!"

Gasp erupted from all those in the area.

"Hmph! Young people sure have a lot of guts!"

"I've called the police they'll be here shortly, you tried to kill someone so now you should face the consequences for doing that."

The group of girls started panicking and they all looked towards the leader of their group for a solution.

"What nonsense are you spouting! She obviously tripped while we tried to pull her back."

The leader of the pack cried out righteously at the passerby'ers.

"Isn't that right classmate Qin!"

The girl called out as she cocked her head looking towards the girl laying in front the car honking it's horn.

The girl on her hands and knees shook her head as she tried to make sense of what was going on.

"I'm . . Im not dead!"

She muttered incoherently.

The man and woman in the car started hurling abuse at the girl on the road calling for her to move.

The girl stood up and took stock of her surroundings. She caught her reflection in the windscreen of the car and stood there in shock.

"I'm young again!"

The young girl muttered again as she ogled her own reflection. The girl was Qin Qianyu the younger version of Qin Qianyu.

Past memories started coming back to her, the scene happening right now is exactly what had happened to her in the past.

The girl that had pushed her was named Lu Mingxi. She done so because someone had told her that Qin Qianyu had been flirting with her sister's boyfriend.

The look in Qin Qianyu's eyes changed at that moment with her brows knotted she looked towards Lu Mingxi,

"I didn't trip I was pushed! Luckily for you this man is such an excellent driver he was able to react in time otherwise he would have been an accessory to your murder plot."

Qin Qianyu stated as she pointed at Lu Mingxi then bowed politely towards the driver and thanked then praised him for his excellent driving skills.

Lu Mingxi was shocked when Qin Qianyu retorted back but it was quickly replaced with the arrogance from earlier as she stated,

"Hmph! Since when did you learn to talk back slut!?"

Qin Qianyu just cocked an eyebrow and simply uttered,

"Since you tried to kill me and implicate this man and his beautiful wife, that's when! Why should we have to put up with your tantrums!?"

Qin Qianyu turned to the driver and his wife and asked if they could possibly wait for the police to arrive so that they could view the dashcam footage.

The attitude of the driver and his wife changed at that point and they nodded in agreement. A shop owner also voiced his thoughts and told Qin Qianyu that his store security cameras also captured the entire ordeal.

Lu Mingxi and her cronies started to panic now especially Lu Mingxi. She was both scared and seething.

"Isn't Qin Qianyu supposed to be a scaredy-cat!? Why is she different from what we've been told?"

Lu Mingxi asked herself.

Soon the police arrived and after going through everything, the police took all the evidence and the school girls back to the station.

The parents and caregivers of all those involved were all called to the station.

Those that had no idea about had happen ended up taking it out on Qin Qianyu.

That was only because of what they told their parents. However Qin Qianyu had the evidence and the law on her side.

Originally when this scene played the first time she had agreed with Lu Mingxi saying that she did indeed trip and that was the end of it, or so it seemed at the time, but every day from that day onwards Lu Mingxi and her cronies made life for her painful.

Now that she has a chance to change her own history she'll make full use of it all.

Someone had tried to hurt her and almost kill her again. Now that she had come back to relive her life again she wasn't going to let them get away with it especially after the harrowing death she had just experienced by her husband and best friend.

Those that hurt her she'll make pay.

"Well I hope everyone can come to a peaceful resolution regarding this seeing that all those involved are still young. But I still have to remind you that these girls are at fault for this so please stop blaming the victim."

The leading policeman says to all the parents that were there. The only ones missing were Qin Qianyu's parents as they work labouring jobs and her grandmother is quite old and lived in a different part of the country.

"What's there to talk about!? The girls were just having fun, they were playing a game."

Qin Qianyu cocked an eyebrow at the man that just spoke. It was Lu Mingxi's father. The other parents followed suit, all of them declaring that it was just an innocent game.

"A game you say?"

Qin Qianyu's crisps clear voice sounded out. Everyone looked in her direction as she sat on a seat, her legs crossed exposing her bleeding and scraped knees as she shrug while showing them her palms, forearm and elbows which all had the same damage as her knees.

She folded her arms and continued.

"Since you all say it's just a "innocent! Fun! game!" Then let's continues this fun game what do you say student Lu?"

" . . . "

"Let's hope that the driver you encounter in this innocent fun game is as quick witted and possesses excellent driving skills as the driver during my turn from that innocent fun game."

" . . . "

"Come student Lu! Let's continue our day of fun games as your father and everyone else here suggested. You can go first followed by the other three!"

"You . . "

"Me what!? Okay, since it's a game let's do this, 5 points for a bike, 10 points for a car, 50 points for a truck, and 100 points for a train! Come student Lu let's get you the high score of 100!"

Mr Lu and all those that heard Qin Qianyu all had the same thoughts.

"How is this a fun innocent game?"

Mr Lu started shaking in anger as his words were used against him by a mere 15 year old.

"How dare you talk like this! Little girl didn't your parents teach you how to address your elders!? Hmph! Improperly raised children would always stray."

Qin Qianyu gave Mr Lu a smirk that said "are you an idiot!?" Which he understood there and then but still maintained his stoic albeit antagonistic aura.

Qin Qianyu raised her eyebrows questioningly as she responded in kind,

"What kind of respect should one show an elder that deemed a persons life and death as an innocent fun game!?"

"My family never taught me such things as treating ones life as an innocent fun game. It only seems to come from families like yours and theirs."

Qin Qianyu retorted and continued again as she point him and the other parents out.

"Besides the police have already tracked our movements prior to our entanglement. I was coming one way after leaving the library while those girls there were coming from the KTV in the entertainment district. If you want to talk about raising children improperly first look to your own."

Mr Lu and those parents hung their heads in shame. Having such a big shot like Mr Lu here they were all thinking they could ride Mr Lu's coat tails and ride out the altercation together but it seemed to them that Qin Qianyu was not one to be easily bullied as she quickly threw everything stated back in their faces.

"You have a slick tongue little girl! But how could you treat my daughters life as a game with points!"

"I don't understand Mr Lu? These are your words stating that your daughter and her friends were playing a fun game. I just made it more fun by adding points, I can take that part out of its not suitable."

Mr Lu was getting frustrated at Qin Qianyu and her constant rebuttals. He sneered in his mind thinking he now had a chance to trap her with her own words.

"If your parents never taught you that then why did you recommend such a dangerous thing and added points!?"

"Haha! Of course it's to show the absurdity of your statement detailing your daughters actions as her and her friends playing a fun game!"

Mr Lu stared daggers at Qin Qianyu as he clenched his fist.

Slaps aplenty.

This was the first time someone other than an elder had spoken back at him in such away.

Qin Qianyu snorted lightly through her nostrils as she snapped back in rebuttal to his actions.

"Listen, with everything said and done, I'm only stating facts back with the evidence the police collected. Now, are you going to start acting like the adult that you are and take this matter seriously or not?"

"I . . Hmph!"

Qin Qianyu approached the leading officer to act as a mediator between herself and the Lu's as Lu Mingxi was the main instigator of this incident.

The Lu's offered a settlement fee of 100,000 yuan and paid immediately to the account given by Qin Qianyu.

Before everyone left the station she borrowed a computer and typed out a letter.

It's contents read along the lines that the four girls and Qin Qianyu will respect each other's boundaries and that the girls could not come within 50 meters of Qin Qianyu or she would sue each one that did.

She along with the other girls signed with the leading policeman as the witness to it all and they soon left afterwards.

Qin Qianyu stood outside the police station alone. It was nearing 6pm at this point and none of her family had arrived yet.

She stood there in a daze thinking about her day. She had died at the hands of her husband and best friend, only 2 hours ago but for some reason she found herself travelling back 13 years to her 15 year old self.

"Yu'er"

A voice sounded out. Qin Qianyu looked up and spotted a middle aged woman in front of her. Her hair was a little disheveled, she still had a stained apron wrapped around her slim body she looked to Qin Qianyu with anxiety in her eyes with a hint of relief.

"Mo . . Mother? . . Mother!"

Qin Qianyu cried out when she spotted the woman in front of her. She ran up to her and embraced her tightly as she balled her eyes out.

"Yu'er, you're safe now. I'm here,"

"Mhm,"
