1 Prologue

"Why don't you believe in me, Kalen? I am saying the truth! I didn't do that to Calista!" Ashanti howled, trying convince the man in front of her.

"Why would I? Sa lahat ng ginawa mong kasamaan sa kaniya, sa tingin mo ba may maniniwala pa sayo? You embarrassed her infront of many people!"

She shook her head while tears were falling from her beautiful eyes, as well as the raindrops from the sky.

'But I did not. I changed my attitude. I stopped doing bad things to my step-sister, but no one accepted it. You're the one who told me to fix myself, but you still let Cali take you away from me.'

"W-why don't you tell him the truth, Ashanti? It's all over now." Calista, who came from nowhere, began to speak.

'Yes, it's all over now, because of you. You sabotaged me sa mismong debut pa natin. It's all because of you, scumbag!'

"Cali, what are you doing here? Go back inside." Kalen approached Calista and offered his coat. They're in the rooftop of the building right now, where their debut is being held.

Ashanti's chest throbbed while looking at the couple in her front. That should be her position. Siya ang nauna, siya ang nagbigay ng totoong pagmamahal ngunit napakabulag ng minamahal niya, mas pinili parin nito ang kapatid niyang nagpapakitang tao lang.

'I can get it why he can't see my worth, but why can't he see my sister's true color behind her mask?'

She clenched her fist, starting to get mad again. Pinaghirapan niyang magbago para maabot si Kalen ngunit nasira lang ng kaniyang kapatid. Kung nakita lang niya nang mas maaga ang plano nito, kung sana lang.

"You," dinuro niya ang kapatid. "You fucking plastic manipulative wicked woman! Are you happy now? Are you enjoying the view of me suffering because everyone is now on your side?"

Calista began to walk towards Ashanti. Kalen tried to stop her but she didn't listen. Yes she is. She's so happy on what is happening in her sister's life. She deserves it. In her eighteen years of existence, ngayon lang niya naranasan ang salitang "enough". Nahihila na si Ashanti pababa sa pagkatalo nito. She wanted to place a victorious smile on her face but Kalen was still with them, she will just celebrate Ashanti's defeat after.

"Ashanti, what you did is enough. Nakakasakit ka na. Tinanggap ko lahat ng panunumbat mo sa akin na isa akong sampid sa pamilya mo. Tiniis ko yung mga pinaggagagawa mo noon dahil sa tingin mo ay isa akong threat sayo. Pero ngayon, dahil lang sa lalaki ay nagawa mo akong ipahiya sa napakaraming tao." She started sobbing that made Kalen get angry at Ashanti again. "I'm so disappointed in you."

Ashanti creased her forehead and glared at Calista. "Don't act like you're concern to me, you planned this from the very start. Enough with your scheming acts!"

'You knew but you didn't stop me, loser.'

Mas lumapit pa si Calista sa kaniya. Habang papalapit ito ay mas nakikita ni Ashanti ang ngisi sa mga labi nito. Kalen can't see it because Calista was facing her back on him.

Calista stopped inches away from her. She let out a few words that made Ashanti lose her mind.

"Kalen is so good in bed, I feel sorry for you not to get a taste of him, as he can't even get away from me. I bet you're a boring type of person that's why people always leave you."

"You daughter of a bitch!"

Ashanti grabbed Calista's hair that made Kalen panicked. That's it. She can't control herself anymore. That's her limit. While trying to ruin Calista's appearance, she can feel her step-sister's arms going stronger and stronger.

'How come?!'

It made her stepped backwards until she reached the railway of the rooftop. Ashanti tried to change their position but it's already late. Calista has been completely pushed her down. 

For god's sake, it was one of the highest building in the city.

Everything seemed to be in a slow motion. As she fell she saw Calista's face from having a grin was replaced by concern on the face as Kalen approached her. She saw her beloved embracing her sister as if saying 'you did not mean it, you did it just to protect yourself'.

Another tear fall from her eye. Sa huling sandali ng buhay niya, nakararanas parin siya ng sakit mula sa kaniyang minamahal. Yes, she seemed to be evil in the eyes of all people, but she did not expect her man to turn his back on her just for a woman who looks more kind and innocent than her.

Looks can be really deceiving, they always are.

But no, hindi pa niya tanggap na mawawala na siya. Hindi pa siya pumapayag na matalo mula sa kaniyang kapatid. She will never give up the crown to anybody, especially to Calista.

She closed her eyes, remembering all the happy moments she had with Kalen while waiting for her body to touch the ground. She genuinely smiled once again, promising herself she will get what was hers in her next life.
