Chapter 10: Beast Tide

"This will suppress the cold poison for twelve months, but you still have to bear the poison for six more days, but it will not be as painful."

"I can't possibly leave you alone in the forest. Haah... looks like I have to bring you to my home because I don't even know who you are. When I return home I'll check your background and return you to your home."

After she said that, Feng Ming Xiu packed up her stuff and prepared to leave when she suddenly felt the ground starting to shake. Feng Ming Xiu knitted her brows."What's happening? It can't be an earthquake, can it? But it doesn't feel like an earthquake...NO it can't be a- " Before she could finish her sentence a hoard of spirit beasts was coming her way in the distance.

"A beast tide!! Seriously why now of all times especially when I have this guy with me." She cursed inwardly about her bad luck, she held Zhou Ling Shan in a princess hug, and started and started running in the opposite direction at her fastest speed possible.

'Shoot, why is there a beast tide at this time? I have to look for a cave to hide before those spirit beasts catch up with me.' Thinking that she quickly scanned her eyes around the area and saw a cave up at the side of the path ahead. She looked behind her and broke out in cold sweat when she saw that the spirit beasts were almost catching up with her and swallowed a speed pill and started running even faster and as soon as she reached the cave, she immediately ran in.

When she entered the cave she put down Zhou Ling Shan near the wall and sat down to catch her breath."Phew, that was close. I wonder what provoked those guys. Anyway, it's not my problem, I'll wait till the beast tide is over then leave the forest."

Suddenly the ground shook and the ground below opened and Feng Ming Xiu fell. She cried out in surprise and instinctively grabbed Zhou Ling Shan. Everything suddenly turned black and her body slid down a steep slope at an incredible speed that everything that was happening did not allow her any time to react.

Underground, Feng Ming Xiu's cry of surprise reverberated in the tunnel as her body continued to slide down. It was completely dark and she could see nothing. After a while, Feng Ming Xiu fell into a cave and fell to the ground.

Bam!!

"Ouch!! It hurts so much!!"Feng Ming Xiu's body hurt so much. Having slid down at such a pace all that way, the pain on her body could not be imagined as she felt her entire body burning up in pain. She picked up Zhou Ling Shan and got up.

Despite the pain, Feng Min Xiu bit her lips and forced herself to get up. After looking around for a while she walked in the direction where she felt a slight breeze. After walking for almost an hour she heard the sound of flowing water and then a gradually brightening ray of light.

She bit down hard with every step, tolerating the almost unbearable pain, taking step after step, until she reached a pool that wasn't filled with water but was filled with a red liquid. Feng Min Xiu looked at the red liquid confused. She placed Zhou Ling Shan near a rock that was near the pool of the mysterious liquid.

She looked around the cave and saw that there were doors around the cave. 'The cave looks as if someone once resided in here.' Feng Ming Xiu looked back at the pool of red liquid and placed her hand in the pool. Feng Ming Xiu felt a refreshing feeling when she placed her hand in the pool.

The liquid wasn't a deep color of red and Feng Ming Xiu could see the bottom of the pool. It looked like the pool was deep and endless. 'Should I enter? The pool seems to have an aura, and it feels safe...

Feng Ming Xiu was suspicious but took off her clothes and entered the pool. As she entered the pool, she felt a refreshing feeling all over her body. Feng Ming Xiu let the liquid cleanse her wounds. After a while, Feng Ming Xiu opened her eyes and looked at the pool of the mysterious liquid.

'I can sense spirit energy coming from this pool. Such pure spirit energy in a place like this?' Feng Ming Xiu looked at the pool of the mysterious liquid and sighed. 'If only I can carry home this miracle liquid.' Feng Ming Xiu got out of the pool after a while and put on back her clothes.

After dressing, she went to check on Zhou Ling Shan and checked his pulse, and gave him a few pills to heal the injuries on his skin seeing that he had no serious injuries after falling down.

Feng Ming Xiu looked at the rooms and went to the door on the left side of the room.
