Chapter 1: Assassination

Thousand beast forest

The men chasing Feng Ming Xiu trapped her in a corner with nowhere to escape "Huff, huff, you people have been chasing me for so long what do you want from me, did someone send you to kill me?"

"Ha, ha, ha yes, so what?"

"Wah, why, I didn't do anything wrong."She cried and asked.

"Why? Blame it on being a good for nothing and offending someone you shouldn't have."

Feng Ming Xiu started to think of who would want to kill her."Feng Hua Bao and Feng Bi Chun! Yes, it has to be them they are always on bad terms with me!"

Zhao Gang Feng laughed sinisterly."Ha, ha you think those brats can order us? You've got to be joking. Okay since you're going to die soon I'll tell you who wants to kill you."

"The person who wants you dead is your Second cous-"

Before Zhao Gang Feng could finish speaking he heard someone fall behind him.

"Bang!"Four of the men behind him died and fell down.

Everyone gasped.

"What the heck, how did those four die just like that?"One of the men asked. Everyone looked around."Who is it? Come out now, you don't want to be killed right?"

No answer."Four of you go and check the surroundings and two of you check the body."

"Yes, leader."

'Tsk, tsk, tsk, these people are so dumb. Sigh I can't show my powers yet, I don't even know if anyone is watching, what should I do. Hmm?' Feng Ming Xiu looked around. She found a man sitting on a tree branch hidden and watching them nearby.

She smiled. Her expression changed so fast that no one noticed. The men who were sent out came back very soon."Sir, we've checked the surroundings and there is no one around the area."

Zhao Gang Feng was confused. Who was the one who killed them then? After thinking for a while he tossed the question at the back of his mind."Okay, we'll deal with this later, let's kill the girl, and let's get this over with."

Suddenly Feng Ming Xiu looked towards the man in the tree and started shouting."Help! Help! Sir help me, please!"She screamed.

Everyone looked in the direction where she was looking and saw the man in the tree. They looked towards each other. One of them shouted."Hey, you there get down here right this instant!"

The man raised his brow and asked smilingly, "Hmm? Why should I listen to you?"

Zhao Gang Feng thought for a while then asked "Are you the one who killed the four of my men just now?" he asked in a slightly cold tone.

"Me? Why would I kill your person for no reason and, maybe the girl could have done it who knows."

"If you didn't do it who could have done it, don't play me for a fool."He looked at Feng Ming Xiu's scared appearance for a while and said "She couldn't have done it either because she has not a shred of Spirt Powers emitting from her and, even if she wanted to kill someone here, how would I not have noticed?"He said in a dissatisfied tone.

"Now answer my question, were you the one who killed my men?"

"No, but even if I did so what? What are you going to do, kill me?"

"You! Since you're so brave come down here this instant!"

"Heh, sure."Saying that he jumped down from the tree.

Seeing the man jump down, Zhao Gang Feng told his men to attack the man."All of you go and attack him now!"

Watching the men coming to attack him, he simply smiled and did nothing and when they were about to touch him he raised his hand, and the necks of the men were cleanly cut off.

Seeing this Zhao Gang Feng was flabbergasted."You, you wha-what did you do?"

"Tsk, I'm in a good mood today, blame it on your bad luck. I'll help a girl in distress this one time since I'm a responsible man."After that Zhao Gang Feng died as well.

Hearing their Master's words the Shadow Guards felt simply like cursing. Responsible man? If you were a responsible man then the sun will rise from the west.

But even though they were secretly cursing they said nothing...

Seeing that the mysterious man killed the men who were pursuing her she let out a sigh of relief. 'Good thing I didn't reveal my powers, but it still makes me sad to not kill them with my own hands, sigh. Anyways let me thank the man and get out of this forest.'Feng Ming Xiu thought as she continued to act scared.
