25 Aprendizado...

Mikael, with a complicated facial expression, sincerely replied that he knew and could read the language, but said he would not give any more information or details about it. Upon hearing this, Alfred felt unsatisfied, but did not insist any further and asked about what was written in the book. Laughing lightly, Mikael mysteriously replied:

"In the future, I will tell you and teach you this language if you so wish, Alfred."

After this mysterious conversation, Alfred softened his expression and felt a certain satisfaction in knowing that he could learn new knowledge. He was an archmage with a voracious thirst for knowledge and magic, trading his humanity for the eternity offered by vampires to continue his search for new knowledge, information, and magic. Alfred had thousands of books in his rich library and sought to continue accumulating.

Vampires do not necessarily need to sleep, but they sleep to pass the time. So Alfred had not slept since he became a vampire, always taking full advantage of studying, experimenting, and solve.

Mikael asked Alfred if he had always lived alone, curious about the history of his newest subordinate. He received a denial and noticed a subtle loneliness in Alfred's blood-colored eyes as if thinking of a distant past…

Then Mikael became more curious and admired Alfred for his search for knowledge and what that loneliness in his eyes was.

He was then informed by Alfred that he had contact with certain managers of black markets from many kingdoms who supplied him with supplies for his research and experiments from time to time in exchange for certain formulas or gold coins that Alfred had accumulated over the centuries.

They spent the whole morning debating and talking together and became quite close. Mikael became increasingly happy to have found Alfred and made him his subordinate. Alfred felt that the idea of being Mikael's subordinate was not so bad after getting to know his king better.

Arriving in the afternoon, Mikael was feeling a slight sense of crisis since discovering the language of the book. As he was not used to magic and knew nothing about it, he did not want to waste the talent of vampires on magic.

So he asked Alfred to be his magic teacher and other possible knowledge that he thought necessary, which he promptly agreed to and took him to a part of the library of books for beginners in magic, chose certain books from the shelf and guided him to another location.

"Alfred led me to a separate room from the library with rough walls painted cream color with good acoustic insulation and a smooth stone floor in gray color. In one corner was a wooden table with 3 leather-padded chairs.

As I sat down, Alfred placed a stack of books on the basics of magic on me and instructed me to finish reading them all by mid-afternoon. Understanding, I nodded my head and picked up the first book that had the title: "What is magic?" And started reading:"

'Magic comes from mana, a colorless, odorless, tasteless substance that inhabits the atmosphere of our world and exists everywhere but that does not mean everyone can use it. To feel it you must have magical aptitude and good sense. To use it for the first time it is necessary to sit in lotus position, empty your mind, feel the environment and be calm without disturbances. To know if you were successful you will feel as if a current of energy waves ran through your body. The sensation of mana varies from person to person being able to be a sensation of coldness heat or lukewarm.'

"After finishing reading, I decided to try. I sat down on the floor in the lotus position, emptied my mind and tried to feel the environment. I was feeling nervous and anxious to experiment, after all, there was no magic on Earth. But soon I calmed down… After a few minutes, I felt a sensation of coldness and fullness running through my body and began to feel the mana within me… It was comfortable to feel it, as if my being was incomplete before feeling it."
