LuMin Conglomerate, the currently top business empire in Z Country. It is also the dream workplace of most people not only because of the high salary and abundance of incentives, but also because they dabbles in many different fields. Thus, there are also a lot of opportunities and options to work in something you really want to do. Because of these reasons, every employees always feel motivated to work hard in their job. All except for a certain someone in the top most floor of the twenty storey high rise building.

There is no doubt that Zach Lu is a really capable man. At the age of twenty eight he is able to cement the name of LuMin Conglomerate at the top in just a matter of five years since his ascension on the CEO position after his father retired early due to a terminal illness. Then two years ago he finally died from stomach cancer that was diagnose late.

At first a lot of people in the business world was skeptical about him becoming the CEO at a young age. Even his father only became the CEO at the age of thirty and was only barely holding on the top spot if not for his wife's family's backing. Their competitors on the other hand celebrated and already crowned themselves as the top empire in S City. But they didn't expect that not only they weren't able to pull the LuMin Conglomerate down, it even shot up directly to the top spot in the entire country. And the man behind that feat is the very same man they thought was still too green.

However, that legendary man unbeknownst to those who revered him, is currently in a daze while reading a document. At least he looks like he is reading. Anyone who knew him enough knew that he could read a ten paged report in less than five minutes. But it's been more than ten minutes and yet he is still on the first page.

The CEO's office's area is a ten meters length by eight meters width. The moment you entered you will immediately be greeted by a huge floor to ceiling window with a thick grey curtain than could be closed shut with a push of a button. In front of the window is the CEO's working table. on one side of the wall is a seven foot tall bookshelf filled with different business and financial books and magazines. On one side of the room there is also a long light grey couch with two singles around a wide glass coffee table.

Donnie Xia, Zach's assistant and also long time friend glanced at Zach's direction for the nth time. He is long done sorting the documents that the CEO needs to check and sign for the day. He is currently sitting on the couch, the documents laid in the coffee table in an orderly manner based on it's importance. Noticing that Zach hasn't flipped a single page of the document since the beginning, he finally realized that his workaholic boss is acting oddly.

"Boss, is there something wrong with that document?" Donny decided to just approach his boss to inquire.

Hearing his assistant's question, Zach woke up from his dazed state only to just look at the other person with a conflicted expression. He seem to have something to say but couldn't find the right words to express it.

As the assistant of the CEO of the top business empire of the country anyone would expect that he would tremble in fear from his boss' stare. But not Donny Xia. Even if everyone knew Zach Lu as cold, scary and decisive, Donny is never intimidated. After all the two of them are friends since childhood. He is one of the very few people who could be casual and joke around with Zach. "What is it? Did you finally realized your sexuality and fell in love with me? I'm sorry boss. Even if you are the one feeding me and my dogs, I will not submit. I prefer cute girls who are at least five inches shorter than me."

Hearing what his assistant said, Zach grab a stress ball from it's container on his table and threw one at Donny's face. But it was evaded effortlessly. "Stop spouting nonsense!" Closing the document, Zach then sat straight with his hands clasped together on top of the table with a serious face and enunciated. "I want to meet someone."

"Who? Would you like me to set an appointment?" Donny said while taking a memo pad in order to write down his boss' instruction.

"I don't think that's the proper way. It's not business related so I can't just request a meeting without a reason." Zach replied exhasperatedly.

"Oh~?" Catching the gist of what Zach said, Donny raised his eyebrows. "Who is this unfortunate soul? So I can light a candle in advance."

"What does that mean? I am such a terrible person?" Zach retort in protest.

"The way I perceive it, you have impure thoughts towards the other person. But I doubt you have a chance. Especially with your baggage." Pulling his smartphone out, Donny swiped and tapped a few times then showed the screen to Zach. "As long as this kind of rumors exist, you could never wave your singlehood goodbye."

Taking the phone, Zach read the online article of his yet another dating scandal with no other than Alice Han. There are two photo evidences included in the article. One was him sitting on the front row seat of the concert hall in F country while Alice was performing on the stage. The other was the so called "intimate" exchange they have at the airport upon arriving at S City. Coincidentally, Alice is wearing a ring on her left hand so the article was titled "Golden Couple Finally Engaged?" They completely disregard the fact that she was wearing it on her middle finger.

Kneading his temples Zach finally felt the burden of his endulgence. He once denied the dating rumor when it first started. Alice just debuted as a musician and singer in mainstream music at that time. She already made a name in classical music but just like Eugene she wanted to make her own music and sing, although her singing voice is just okay. So she signed with Illuminate Entertainment with Eugene. The rumor started when the public noticed how the company boost Alice's career like crazy. Who would make their artist debut with a full blown concert? But they did just for her.

Later a rich businessman from C City set her eyes on Alice and tried to harass her both in private and public. Zach then made a move and directly bankrupt the man's company. Ever since then he kept quiet about him dating Alice since it served as a shield against predators. Now, even if he deny the rumors, no one would believe him. They even said that he built the Illuminate Entertainment just for Alice. When in truth it doesn't belong to him alone. He is just a co-owner with Eugene Lin. He only invested on the company as a favor for a friend. Well with a hidden agenda as well but not Alice. As for his support for Alice, it is his responsibility.
