2 The Attack

Reincarnation was a topic few people understood, and reincarnation from another world was a topic people knew even less about. The god who looks after the cycle of reincarnation has also died, and the reincarnation cycle is in chaos. But it was not complete chaos, the gods had used their magic to create rules, so even with them dying, souls were still being reincarnated and the universe was working as it should.

But when you have souls that shouldn't have been there, not being affected by the rules of the cycle of reincarnation. this lead to things that should have happened, taking place. like souls coming into contact, souls fusings and becoming come...

Within the forest, the cry of two children could be heard. A red-haired woman looked at the children she gave birth to. She had given birth to two adorable twins, a boy and a girl. a mad look in her eyes as she ignored her son, and instead looked at her daughter. She got ready to cast a spell, wishing to take over her body.

but when the little girl saw the red magic circle form, she stopped crying and with bright eyes looked at the magic circle before smiling. a scene that caused the woman to freeze, she felt as if a hammer had slammed into her stomach, causing her to freeze slightly.

"W-what am I doing?" She said softly while stepping away from them, she held her head, the years of torture she went through to protect her child flashing through her mind, yet now she was about to steal her daughter's body. she looked at the twins while tears ran down her eyes before her eyes rested on the boy who had a look of curiosity in his eyes while looking back at her.

She looked at the at the boy, and at her daughter for a moment. In the end, she forced a smile onto her face went on to pick the two children up, and walked off towards a village.

"I'm sorry... but the last act I can do as a mother is to keep far away from you. I'm unstable." She said as she looked at the both of them while placing them at the door of an orphanage, she enchanted the basket they were in, writing their names on them.

"Erza and Nagato..." She said softly, before kissing both of their cheeks. and with a deep breath, she knocked on the door before disappearing, appearing far where she watched someone open the door, to find the two twins lying there. after seeing that they were taken in, she stayed a few days secretly watching them, only leaving when she saw herself wanting to steal Erza's body once more. so she tricked herself, telling herself that the enchantment failed, and left...

"Nagato! Those kids want to play with us... that one girl named Kagura wants to face you again," Erza ran into a room, her eyes bright while looking at Nagato who was simply reading a book. with an emotionless look, Nagato looked at Erza,

"I rather read this book," Emotionless replying, Nagato returned to reading his book, leaving Erza to sigh helplessly as she came over to look at the book he was reading. she was not shocked to see it was a romantic novel. her brother always struggled to understand the concept of love and other emotions for that note. another he could feel, he didn't know what he was feeling at times.

One time he was about to eat his ice cream, only for it to fall to the ground. He was unhappy, he was looking forward to eating that ice cream, yet it just fell. he wasn't mad, upset, or anything like that.. well, he was, the fact he felt that confused him, leading him to question Erza trying to put into words the way he felt.

"reading books would never help you understand it, you need to go out and live." She said while grabbing his hand, and pulling him up. Nagato thinking that made sense, nodded slightly. saving the page he was at, he followed her outside.

but while following her, her red hair caught his attention, causing him to fact flashback to events of which he had no clue idea. there were two images, one of a woman on a battlefield, holding a demon sword, and the other of a young man looking at the screen.

Holding his head in pain, he stopped walking for a moment, causing Erza to stop and look at him in worry.

"It's those images again?" She asked in worry, she knew that since Nagato turned 8 a few weeks back, he had been having these strange images. at first, it started in his dream, when every once in a while he saw her.

"I'm going to ask for help." She said in worry, to which Nagato shook his head, as the pain was going away. She looked at him with slight worry, but in the end, she could say nothing as they left, heading off to play a game of soccer, where they took off their shoes to make the soccer goals and play.

Nagato wasn't interested much, but he had good genetics, allowing him to outperform most of them, all but Kagura who made it her goal to crush Nagato. why? it was more of a pride thing to her. Kagura was once considered the best in many sports, all until Nagato, being dragged by Erza popped up, causing Kagura to see him as her rival.

Nagato preferred to play goalie, not interested in running around all day, so when he saw Kagura running towards him with the ball, he went on guard. he was a kid who cared little for things, yet at times even he could show interest... losing was one of such things he showed interest in not doing.

"This is my new move, kept 2 whole days to work on this." Kagura, the black-haired little girl roared, before she kicked the ball into the air. everyone watched as she jumped into the air, her eyes turning sharp before she kicked the ball with all her strength, Nagato's eyes widened slightly, before he moved to stop the ball, until he realized the ball was going to hit him. too late to dodge, he blocked his face with his hand, the force from the ball sending him falling back, with the ball flying back in the air.

no one went for the ball as they looked at Nagato to see if he was alight, they all saw the power behind that kick, and he to it had on. they were waiting for that emotionless creepy kid to cry or something until they realized he wasn't moving. they froze, their heart dropping as they realized Nagato had died

Kagura stood there in horror, watching Erza rushing over to see if her brother was okay. As Erza's cries filled the place, the adults who were not too far away were alerted, causing them to run over to see what was wrong. In a matter of seconds, Nagato was surrounded by a group of grown men,

"Don't worry. he seems to have fainted." a middle-aged man said softly, calming Erza down, but she suddenly remembered someone and told the middle-aged man.

"Nagato has been having headaches for some time now... he didn't tell anyone as they would just come and go." She said softly, making the adults frown. They nodded slightly before picking up Nagato, this could be troublesome so they took him to the village doctor to be checked.

Erza followed, leaving Kagura who wanted to apologize behind. Kagura didn't know Erza well, she could even remember her name. Nagato was the more skilled person amongst them, for someone who does almost nothing all day, he was capable of her edge.

"My Head..." Nagato said softly while sitting up, rubbing his head, only to see Erza who was lying on the bed next to his. She was awakened by his movement, causing her to wake up. after a moment of confusion, she hugged him, to which Nagato hugged her back in confusion.

he was confused, not understanding where they were. but he didn't remember he was hit hard by that kick, he also understood why he had been having those headaches. he was not of this world, he was from a world called Earth and had reincarnated into this world. although his memories from his past life had yet to fully return, he now understood he was in the world of fairy Tail, twin brother of Erza. As for the plot, he was slowly recalling it, but that could wait.

"I'm sorry for worrying you, but I'm alright now," I said with a soft smile, while getting up, Erza looked at me with a questioning look, before freezing when she saw the soft smile on my face. She had never seen me so much as smirk, so she was of course shocked by this sight. she was the only person who was able to read me even if the emotion never showed on my face... but being able to see my face sure emotion, she was left stunned.

with a lost look, Erza took my head and left with me, heading back home. but it was then we heard an explosion go off, with flames coming towards where the sea was. it was currently the middle of the night, chaos spread with the sound of the explosion, waking everyone up.

"Let go," I said with an uneasy look, not sure what was happening. I quickly pulled Erza long, thanks to my memories from my other life, I understood my emotion even more now, Erza was my twin sister. the thing I valued most. In my past life, I was an orphan, someone whose parents threw away and forgot. in this life, I had family. the fact I went from an emotionless state to a state where I could feel and understand all my emotions only increased these feelings.

"where are we going?" Erza asked in fear, I bit my lips at her question, where could we run to? I looked around and saw the forest far away.

"we would head towards the forest, we would hide away there," I said to which Erza nodded slightly, before running off towards the forest. but from the corner of her eye, she saw someone with a mask firing a spell, killing the middle-aged man who had come to check up on me. turning over, she saw how that masked man grabbed a child. she realized there were more masked men, all kidnapping children.

They were flying around on some weird device, allowing them to quickly reach them even when they were far from the part of the village near to the sea. Erza noticed how one of the masked men noticed her and sent one of the masked men after them.

In horror, she looked at me for a moment, before she pushed me. pushing him with all of her strength into an ally, before she turned and ran away, drawing the masked man towards her, meanwhile caught off guard, I sent falling to the ground, before quickly getting up. rushing out of the Allie, I noticed the masked man which I had missed due to Erza's head being in the way, and the fact all of my attention was on reaching the forest.

"N-no." I quickly rushed off, searching for Erza, while trying to void these masked men.

'they should be mages, I have to avoid them... damn it, I should have noticed them first.' I thought gritted teeth, and worry filled my head. I didn't want to be alone, being all alone... that was the worst feeling.
