Welcoming ceremony

The first years were already chatting away on their seats. His arrival drew some attention from the people, his athletic stature, blue eyes, black hair and handsome face were quite the looker, but as soon as they saw the white uniform signaling that he was a scholarship student, they ignored him. Clide expected them to ignore him and did not think much of it, he moved to his seat, sat down and waited for the ceremony to begin. At 9 am the lights dimmed inside the hall, the people quieted down and the lights focused on the stage on which dean Gibson just appeared. "A very warm welcome to each and every one of you. We have gathered here to welcome the freshmen of our school, Carlton Academy," the bearded man said. "Today you will start a new journey, for some it could be considered a new life, a second chance if you will. I wish everyone good luck on your journey."
