20 He Is Gay and Impotent

"You're here." Li Jin said charismatically while sitting calmly in his chair. He threw a quick look at Lu Mian and then stared at Yang Zi like a mad puppy. He was still a little bit angry at being ignored by Yang Zi. He is going to punish her later.

Lu Mian felt suffocated by Li Jin's demeanor. Rumors said that the CEO of the Li Empire is a heartless person. She even heard that he is gay because he has had no rumored girlfriend or fling ever since. Some even said that he is impotent. Poor Yang Zi.

"Mian, this is Li Jin. I think you already knew him. He is the CEO of Li Empire, and he is my husband. So, are you going to do what you have said earlier?" Yang Zi said in a teasing tone.

Lu Mian shuddered in fear. He can't possibly break his legs if she still wants to live for another day. She leaned closer to Yang Zi and whispered, "Xiao Zi, why did you not tell me earlier that he is your husband?"

Yang Zi laughed and answered, "I told you that my husband is Li Jin. Didn't I?"

Then she turned her head to Li Jin and said, "This is Lu Mian. She is my best friend."

Li Jin nodded lightly in response. She can feel that something is wrong with Li Jin's mood, but she will find it out later. For now, her priority is her trembling best friend beside her.

"Let's sit, shall we? So that you can get to know each other. My best friend here is so adamant about meeting you." Yang Zi smiled as she led Lu Mian to the sofa. Li Jin followed them and sat across the two ladies.

"Would you like to have a drink or something to eat?" Li Jin asked.

"Well, anything is fine." Yang Zi replied.

Lu Mian observed the couple and felt that they are still getting used to each other's presence. However, she can clearly see the extra affection in Li Jin's eyes every time he looks at Yang Zi. In fact, the moment they arrived, his eyes were glued on Yang Zi all this time.

'Were the rumors about him being gay is not true?' Lu Mian thought.

Yang Zi noticed her best friend's odd behavior so, she gave her a slight nudge and said, "Are you just going to sit here and say nothing? I thought you are going to interview him?"

Lu Mian's nerves tensed up. Li Jin will surely kill her if he discovers that she said she is going to break his legs and even his b*lls!

"I-I. Of course, I want to meet my best friend's husband. Mr. Li, nice to meet you. I am Lu Mian, Yang Zi's best friend. I will leave Xiao Zi in your good hands." Lu Mian said politely to Li Jin.

Yang Zi's mouth twitched by her best friend's 180 degrees change of behavior.

Li Jin on the other hand just calmly looked at Yang Zi and said, "Of course. It is my number one responsibility."

Yang Zi looked at the man across her and she could feel the burning gaze from his dark orbs.

"Erm, Xiao Zi, I think I should leave now. I forgot that we are going to have a meal with my Aunties later." Lu Mian suddenly said. She can no longer dare to stay there and become a lightbulb.

"Eh, so soon? We just got here." Yang Zi said.

Lu Mian nodded vigorously and replied, "Yes, we will be meeting in an hour so I need to leave since I still need to head home."

Yang Zi sighed and said, "Alright. I'll walk you to the elevator." She stood up and turned her head to Li Jin.

"I'll be back. I will send Lu Mian to the elevator."

Li Jin just nodded in response.

Lu Mian thought Li Jin is a cold type of person especially in the way he acts. She should warn her best friend.

The two women headed out of the office and Lu Mian gave a long sigh of relief. She faced Yang Zi and held her two shoulders tightly.

"Xiao Zi, listen to me." Lu Mian said earnestly.

Looking at her best friend's serious face, she said, "Yes, what is it?"

"You should not be deceived by him and get a divorce as soon as possible." Lu Mian said.

"What? Why?" Yang Zi was confused.

What is the reason for this? Is there something wrong?

"Xia Zi, don't get agitated, but I heard some rumors that he is gay and impotent." Lu Mian whispered to Yang Zi.

Yang Zi's eyes widened in surprise and then she laughed.

Lu Mian felt confused by Yang Zi's reaction.

"What are you laughing at? I am serious!" Lu Mian said.

Yang Zi tried so hard and finally stopped laughing. She cleared her throat and said, "Look, Mian. I am certainly sure that these rumors can't be trusted."

"How would you know? You can't possibly have consummated your marriage?" Lu Mian asked curiously.

Yang Zi was stunned, then her ears reddened, "What are you talking about? Stop talking nonsense."

They did not even spend a night together since they got married so how could they possibly do that thing. That's ridiculous.

"Whatever you have heard, don't trust them. Trust me. He is a straight man. Okay? Are you rushing to leave earlier?" Yang Zi said. The situation seemed to have reversed now. She is rushing Lu Mian to leave.

"Fine. But anyway, tell me right away if something happens, okay?' Lu Mian said.

"I will. Wait, let me request Li Jin's assistant to drive you." Yang Zi said as she was about to call Assistant Leng.

Lu Mian immediately stopped her and replied, "I'll be fine. I am just going to call a cab. Don't worry. I will be careful."

Yang Zi gave in and gave Lu Mian a hug. "Alright. See you soon, okay? You can visit me anytime at the office if you are free."

Lu Mian nodded and smiled then she stepped into the lift. The doors closed and Yang Zi headed back to Li Jin's office.

When Yang Zi entered, she saw him sleeping. He was supporting his head with one arm. She approached slowly and observed his face. She couldn't help but admire his facial features. She noticed that he has black circles around his eyes but that did not affect the level of his god-like appearance.

"Enjoying your view?" A mellow and husky voice sounded from Li Jin making Yang Zi flinch from surprise. He then opened his eyes and stared intensely at Yang Zi.

Was he just sleeping a while ago?

"I-I thought you were sleeping." Yang Zi avoided his gaze and gulped nervously.

Li Jin stood up and sat beside her. Yang Zi's body froze, then she lowered her head.

"So, how should I punish you, Mrs. Li?" Li Jin said as he wrapped her arms around Yang Zi's slim waist making the position look like a back hug.

Yang Zi was shocked by his sudden movement. She could feel his warm breathing on her neck.

"W-what are you talking about?' Yang Zi stuttered again.

Li Jin smirked and said, "Wifey, you are getting bolder. You did not answer my calls last night and you did not turn on your phone until this morning. Did you not know that I was so worried about you? I did not even sleep last night."

Yang Zi finally remembered. It turns out he was waiting for her to text the whole night. She felt so guilty now. She won't deny that she made a mistake.

"I'm sorry. I was so tired last night that I did not have the energy to charge my phone. And this morning, Lu Mian went into our house and we went together to the company that I forgot about my phone." Yang Zi said apologetically.

"Hmm, so how are you going to make it up for me?" Li Jin asked.

"Well, how about I treat you to a meal?" Yang Zi said.

Li Jin put his chin on his shoulder and said, "No, I won't accept that. That is not enough."

Yang Zi can hear her heart beating so fast but she can't bring herself to retaliate from his arms. There is a voice inside her that she kinda likes this feeling.

"So, hmm what do you want me to do then?" Yang Zi asked.

"Are you going to do everything I wanted you to do?" Li Jin asked.

Yang Zi contemplated and said, "Well, as long as it is not illegal."

Li Jin chuckled lightly at her silly answer. This made Yang Zi's heart ripple.

"How about you cook me dinner tonight at my place?" Li Jin said.

Yang Zi thought that it was not a big deal so she nodded her head and said, "Okay, no problem. Do you have supplies at home?"

"Nope, but we can buy on the way." Li Jin said.

Yang Zi nodded and said, "Okay."

A few seconds later, she did not receive any response from Li Jin. Yang Zi started to notice his deep and steady breathing. She slightly tilted her head and noticed that he was sleeping.

It seems like he is really tired. Yang Zi felt guiltier. So, she did not move and just let him rest for a while.

As time goes by, it seems like she is metal and Li Jin is a magnet. She can't help but get closer to him.
