21 Flowers blooming

An hour passed, and the couple still remained in the same position. Yang Zi's shoulders are starting to get numb. However, observing his tired body, she can't bear to wake him up. Perhaps, her heart is starting to soften for this man.

Yang Zi tried her best not to move and make a noise if she might wake him up.

While waiting for him to wake up, Yang Zi thought, what would be her life after everything will be revealed? Will they live together peacefully? Are they going to have a happy family? Just the thought of it made her so unsure of what the future holds for the both of them.

Yang Zi cleared out all her thoughts. For now, she decided to just go with the flow of the stream of life.

'Sigh'

Suddenly, a pair of warm hands pulled her from behind, making her lay on the soft sofa they were sitting on. Yang Zi was shocked and speechless by Li Jin's sudden action. Now, she is underneath his body while he is leaning closer to her face. This position made her frozen and blushed at the same time.

"Y-you, what are you doing? G-get off me. What if someone will see us?" Yang Zi said between her breaths. He was just peacefully sleeping a while ago, and now he is suddenly awake without her knowing. This man is unpredictable.

"My dear wife, why are you blushing? Have you fallen in love with me?" Li Jin said in his husky voice.

Shameless! This is Yang Zi's first thought. He never failed to make her speechless with his shameless behavior.

However, Yang Zi did not answer his silly question.

"Were you asleep just now? When did you wake up?" she asked as she looked at his face.

Li Jin smiled at her lovingly and replied, "I would not dare to sleep longer, or else I am going to get beaten up by my wife. Does your back hurt?"

Yang Zi felt moved by this, and she shook her head. "Not at all. I am fine." But the truth is the opposite. Since it's her fault why he was not able to sleep last night, she must endure this small suffering as payback.

"Are you sure?" Li Jin asked.

"Just a little numb, but I'll be fine." Yang Zi answered.

Li Jin sat up and said, "I'm sorry, wifey. I did not mean it to fall asleep."

Yang Zi chuckled at his childish tone and said, "It's fine. I know you are tired and sleepless because of me."

Li Jin looked at her and said, "How about I am going to repay you?"

Yang Zi was surprised. "There's no need. It's just a small matter. You don't have to do this."

Li Jin shook his head and insisted, "I should repay you."

Yang Zi could only sigh and said, "Okay. How are you going to repay me?"

Li Jin thought deeply, then a few seconds later, he looked at her intently and said, "I am going to repay you by this."

*Kiss*

Yang Zi's mind went blank as Li Jin's lips fell into hers. The cool sensation coming from his lips made her unable to do something. She can't bring herself to push him away, too.

'Should I close my eyes?' Yang Zi thought.

Before she could withdraw her mind from its far places, Li Jin's arms were around her, as sure and hard as on the dark road to Yang Zi, so long ago. She felt again the rush of helplessness, the sinking yielding, the surging tide of warmth that left her limp. And the quiet face of Li Jin was blurred and drowned to nothingness.

With no other choice, she slowly closed her eyes. Maybe, this would bring one step closer for the two of them. As her first kiss, she couldn't help but shake a little. It was exciting and nervous at the same time.

Yang Zi's action only meant one thing to Li Jin, she felt the same way as he did.

Li Jin bent back her head across his arm and kissed her, softly at first, and then with a swift gradation of intensity that made her cling to him as the only solid thing in a dizzy swaying world. His insistent mouth was parting her shaking lips, sending wild tremors along her nerves, evoking from Yang Zi's sensations she had never known she was capable of feeling. And before a swimming giddiness spun her round and round, she knew that she was kissing him back.

The kiss lasted for a few minutes until the two of them ran out of breath. Their lips parted and gasped for air after the sweet activity they just did. Adrenaline rush. So much of it that Yang Zi nearly forgot to breathe.

The flowers are starting to bloom.

Yang Zi was stunned—at herself, at the amber flickering overpowering her consciousness, at the enticing flavor of the foreign lips, she found herself. She felt like she wanted to dig a hole and bury herself in it. That was very embarrassing. Heat rose to her face, making her flushed in embarrassment. She turned her head away, her back facing Li Jin.

Li Jin, on the other hand, smiled like a kid that tasted his favorite candy. He knew that she felt shy as he could see her ears turning crimson. He held her fair hand and said, "Let's take things slowly, Xiao Zi."

Yang Zi looked at him and nodded slowly. Li Jin smiled and planted a small kiss on her forehead. He pulled her into his embrace and smelled the fragrance from her hair.

"I'm sorry, wifey." Li Jin said softly.

Yang Zi was surprised at his sudden apology.

"Why are you saying sorry?" she asked.

"I am sorry because I did not ask for your permission. Was it your first kiss?" Li Jin replied as he caressed her hair.

Yang Zi's face heated up, and said softly, "Yeah, it was my first time. But it's okay. I-I think it was a new milestone for our relationship."

Li Jin slowly parted himself and looked at her alluring face. "Shall we go now?" He said with an evident excitement in his voice. He can't wait to taste his wife's cooking.

Yang Zi smiled at him and nodded. The two of them immediately headed out hand in hand. As soon as they stepped out of Li Jin's office, Assistant Leng immediately bowed his head respectfully and greeted them.

"Young Madam, Mr. President."

Yang Zi smiled and nodded at him.

"You can go home early now. Pick me up tomorrow morning. I will leave the car for you. We will be using Xiao Zi's car." Li Jin said to his assistant.

Assistant Leng nodded and replied, "Thank you, Mr. President. Please be careful on the road."

"Hmm." Li Jin responded and led Yang Zi to the elevator.

They immediately arrived at the basement and headed towards the car. Li Jin opened the door for the passenger seat for Yang Zi. Yang Zi chuckled at his gentlemanly action and stepped inside. Li Jin gave her a wink and went to the driver's seat.

"So, where are we going to buy groceries?" Li Jin asked.

"Let's go to the wet market." Yang Zi answered.

Li Jin was stunned. He had never tried to go to that kind of place.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

Yang Zi laughed at his reaction. She forgot to consider that Li Jin is not the type of person who went to that kind of place. As an independent woman for several years, she learned how to live normally. Instead of buying in big supermarkets, she chose to go to the wet market since the fresh and cheaper goods are compared to the former.

Yang Zi nodded and replied, "Yeah, I'm sure. You can stay in the car if you want. I can manage to buy everything we need."

"I will go with you." Li Jin immediately answered. Wherever she wants to go, he'll go with her. He won't waste time any second to be apart from his beloved wife.

"Okay. Let's go." Yang Zi said.

Li Jin immediately started the car and drove towards the city's wet market.

When they arrived, Li Jin felt like his head was spinning. The whole place was filled with bustling people around. He closely followed Yang Zi from behind as she busied herself from looking for something to buy.

Yang Zi approached the stall of the fish and said, "Auntie, how much is this?"

"Pretty lady, it's 42.16 Yuan." The Auntie smiled as she replied.

Yang Zi nodded and said, "Alright. I'll buy one."

The vendor immediately picked the biggest piece of fish and put it inside a plastic, "Here. I'll give it to you for 40 Yuan since your husband is so handsome." The Auntie said as she looked at them happily.

Yang Zi was stunned and flushed. "Thank you so much, Auntie."

The two of them left the stall and went around to look for more goods. Every time they went to different stalls, they were given discounts because of their sweet interaction and also because of Li Jin's appearance.

The couple went back happily to the car.

"We saved so much money today." Yang Zi said happily.

Li Jin smiled at his wife's carefree behavior and replied, "It's because we look so good together like we are a match made in heaven."
